### 3/5 — flipping back and forth in the latest few version

*2026-08-31, version 227.2*

don’t know why this app kept flipping back and forth with latest version multiple times in days or weeks, anytime can happens, so far it works fine but i am getting worried with all these flipping versions

### 4/5 — Pretty good App

*2026-08-31, version 227.2*

I wish I could have a distinct ringtone or vibration when I get alerts from thinkorswim. This is critical for TRADING.

### 3/5 — Has slowed

*2026-08-26, version 227.2*

The recent update has drastically slowed switching between charts.

### 4/5 — The Analyze by slice feature seems to have vanished since the last update

*2026-08-26, version 227.2*

This app has a learning curve…and it should due to it’s complexity & numerous functions.

Since the last update, some of the nifty features aren’t available- notably the price slice feature when you could analyze how your positions would change based on future hypothetical factors. Why?

### 4/5 — Feature Suggestion Please

*2026-08-25, version 227.2*

PLEASE! PLEASE! Add this feature. When opening an option chain and when you enter a certain option expiration, make it when you start to scroll down that you can still see what expiration you are in and so you can easily close the option expiration without having to scroll all the way to the top. One last feature, can you please make the days to expiration on the options chain a different color so it stands out better. Thank you.

### 2/5 — Hm

*2026-08-20, version 227.2*

Services are amazing Customer Service I don’t want to bank anywhere else but the charts they could absolutely be better

### 1/5 — Shut down the release notes notification

*2026-08-05, version 227*

The constant notification in the form of unread messages for release notes is super annoying and needs to shut down asap. It’s showing as unread message every single time I open the app even when the last release date was July 20th. Even talked to customer service for this.

### 1/5 — Not compatible anymore

*2026-08-03, version 220*

Latest update not compatible with older iPads iOS 17.

### 3/5 — Usually great, but currently screwed up

*2026-08-03, version 227*

Tech issues: when viewing chart for ticker A, shows open position of ticker B. This is totally unacceptable.

### 4/5 — Good, But Could Be GREAT

*2026-07-31, version 227*

If anyone from Schwab reads these reviews, please take a look at tastytrade’s app. Your app is good and I use it all the time. But I’m always wishing you had more features as the tastytrade app when it comes to options trading. If you could focus on streamlining the options trading features I would delete my tastytrade app and never look back.

### 1/5 — Why isn't it supported on iOS 16 anymore? My old phone can't use it!

*2026-07-28, version 225.1*

Why isn't it supported on iOS 16 anymore? My old phone can't use it!You shouldn't force all users to use the latest system! I can't use it right now, how can I fix this?

### 1/5 — Schwab and their apps.

*2026-07-24, version 227*

The old Schwab App is currently being butchered by “developers”, probably for the greater good. So I thought I’d try this App …. That is until I checked the non-bot reviews. I’m not surprised. Hint - nobody pays for bots to give negative reviews.

### 1/5 — Sometimes no updates are the best updates

*2026-07-23, version 227*

You broke the chart screen pretty badly. I can see my previous chart symbol open positions as owned when I click a different symbol. Why would you provide updates when nobody asks for those updates this is why the software industry needs. People need to fire everybody no need for software people to just keep putting updates just because you have a job

### 1/5 — Keeps lagging

*2026-07-17, version 226.2*

An update may be due. App keeps lagging and won’t load. keeps showing blank screen. cant fill orders

### 1/5 — Will not let me sign in through app

*2026-07-16, version 226.2*

App suddenly will not connect, but I can connect on desktop. Very frustrating!!!

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2026-07-16, version 226.2*

App has not worked since schwab bought

### 1/5 — Super laggy since SCHWAB bought it

*2026-07-16, version 226.2*

The last 4 months have been horrible. Quotes lagging with what is being displayed on the chart. The app will literally freeze 15-20 while I’m in an options position ridiculous. Orders are getting delayed from being filled. PLEASE FIX YOUR APP

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can not open or update

*2026-08-28, version 225.1*

Useless

### 1/5 — Not supporting older iPads

*2026-08-26, version 225.1*

They made some update requiring a much newer iOS and so it’s not functional on my iPad Pro anymore. So one star. This was functioning I’m June but not anymore

### 1/5 — Still slow and lacking basic features

*2026-08-25, version 227.2*

The app still lacks the ability to create custom options spread groups in the “portfolio” section. Options contracts are only able to be grouped by the original order.

### 1/5 — Pathetic App

*2026-08-23, version 227.2*

Will cost you money. Just go pay for WeBull which elite compared to this dog pissAPP that can never load charts

### 1/5 — Useless on legacy Apple products.

*2026-08-21, version 225.1*

Used to be great. Too bad.

### 1/5 — Spam

*2026-08-19, version 227.1*

They spam you with messages in the app for their stupid events and other stuff that literally no one is interested in, with no way to disable it.

### 1/5 — One of the worst trading platforms

*2026-08-12, version 227.1*

I've used a lot of trading platforms, but I gotta say, thinkorswim is easily the worst. It’s got a UI straight out of the last century, and the charts barely move in real time, meaning I literally have to keep Futu or some other charting app open just to place orders accurately.

It's the 21st century—we're in the AI era now—so it's about time thinkorswim got with the times instead of staying so stuck in the past.

### 1/5 — App down AGAIN

*2026-08-11, version 227*

Sell it back to TD Ameritrade. We literally NEVER had issues with them.

### 1/5 — That app freeze

*2026-08-11, version 227*

The app sometimes show me that I’m making money once I close the contract. Then I’m on the negative

### 1/5 — It can improve

*2026-08-07, version 227*

Many times it hangs, they have to check that for those who make options we depend a lot on the speed of closing and opening an operation

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Finally they upgraded

*2026-08-07, version 227*

Finally Schwab made this app usable on iPad, like this update. I can do most of trading on my iPad now, great job Schwab.

### 5/5 — i love think or swim

*2026-07-30, version 227*

the best platform

### 5/5 — By far the best

*2026-07-16, version 226.2*

App to lose money in the market.

### 5/5 — Unbelievable.

*2026-07-07, version 226.2*

A full-featured trading platform on my iPhone. Holy cow.

Really: what more needs to be said?

### 5/5 — Can’t use app anymore😤

*2026-06-17, version 225.1*

My phone is not compatible for the latest iOS update and now I cannot use the app. This is not OK! Do something.

### 5/5 — Unable to use app

*2026-06-04, version 225.1*

Like the app and the features. Can’t use it anymore however due to updates that I also can’t apply on the phone. Hopefully I can workaround it but not as of now.

### 5/5 — No Longer Compatible with My iPad Pro

*2026-06-03, version 226.1*

I have used this app for many years on this iPad and and despite my iPad having the most recent updates the app does not complete the login process and prompts the user to update.

### 5/5 — Version 226.1 requires iOS 18…why?

*2026-06-02, version 225.1*

I use this app daily on a dedicated older iPad, which cannot run iOS 18. The backend now requires 226.1, which I cannot install. Thus I can no longer login with the previous version 225.1 anymore.

Please reconsider the iOS 18 requirement on new versions.

Thanks.

### 5/5 — Can’t use app anymore

*2026-06-02, version 219.2*

The app suddenly logged me out and is now requiring the latest iOS update. Why is this being forced to be able to use the app. I’ve used this to trade for years and now I am not able to use it because of this requirement.

### 5/5 — Today my 2017 iPad ca’t get in.

*2026-06-01, version 226.1*

2017 iPad Pro cannot get in. Seems you’ve changed the way we can login to think or swim. Any i Pad below iOS 18 cannot get in to software. Workaround : Spacedesk (PC / driver + Spacedesk app IOS iPad) + iTunes (PC needs drivers on PC )+ USB A to lightning cable - connects my PC Win 11 to my iPad: this lets me run an extended window / trading screen - from PC Think or Swim to the iPad.Google how to set this up. It works.
