Annoying. I do not like having to put all of this information into an app I’ve never heard of before. I’ve been told it was set up by people who had been defrauded. But it’s precisely the constant demand to put sensitive data into apps which is creating so much opportunity for fraud. ### 1/5 — Nightmare uploading mortgage offer *2025-12-21, version 4.3.9* I have a mortgage offer in pdf that has 4 pages in total but I can’t upload because there is a 2 mb limit on file size 😂. Do you not hold files of previous answers to requests. It is as if we are not trusted to be who we say we are and having to prove funds are available for a house purchase transaction. Why can’t we just visit the office with our proofs of identity and financial situation??? Why do our financial situation and passports have to be bandied on the website for anyone to get hold of?? With our full addresses? If we are burgled then we will know where the information came from. And why twice when you asked for this only a couple of months ago on another transaction? Just too much information over the airwaves for an honest person. ### 1/5 — Very Tedious App - look forward to wasting time! *2025-10-13* App has very poor logic. For example; some items are scanned by the app, others need to be photographed. No clear designation of either method in the appropriate section of the app. Submitting documents requires you to ‘ learn’ the sequence of operation, choose doc type, photo, attach, send .. then redo for next or you will be attaching 2 docs in same space. App should advise on the workflow. Finally, the app lives in a land where people are receiving loads of physical mail which they can use for id. Even the NHS uses msg and websites now.. That age went out with horse drawn carts. Terrible ‘ logic..’ ### 1/5 — Intrusive *2025-10-09, version 4.1.0* I don’t approve of digital ID yet this app insists you basically share everything about yourself and personal details, biometrics, banking, everything just to approve a remortgage. I feel deeply uneasy sharing this information with a third party and cannot stand the nonsense gateways that need to be overcome to get to the next stage. Rang customer service number multiple times on hold for over an hour they never pick up. ### 1/5 — Flawed and frustrating app experience *2025-09-25, version 3.7.10* Spent over an hour trying to upload a pdf which is apparently impossible to do if you have saved a pdf onto a cloud so had to email a pdf to myself, convert it to a jpeg and then WhatsApp it to myself and add it into my photos. I actually spoke to my lawyer who needed this to verify my identity and explained the uselessness. Please don’t make your clients use this. Said passport chip scan was successful but wouldn’t move on to next step. Connected to bank for account 1, account 2 was not on the list so when I pressed that, it cancelled the bank connection already done and locked that section. Apparently you can’t go back and edit anything!! The last section was fun - add payslip as proof of savings.. so what do you want there? Payslip or proof of savings. All you need to do is show your ID to the agent or Solicitor. Why would any sensible person pay for a service that doesn’t deliver. The app does not support all devices and it’s clunky. Extremely concerning that you’re expected to add your personal information electronically, what if you’re not comfortable doing this is not able to? I’d sack my solicitor if they asked me to use this system and we did consider pulling out of our purchase because the agent was using it . Those who design these apps should be aware that very senior citizens are not necessarily familiar with how apps work and how photos should be taken etc. To make matters worse the app seems to freeze while I’m trying to get pictures on Also I’m wary about giving out so much personal data. One hears so much about scams these days I didn’t see any reassuring messages on the app. I just wish there was a more user friendly way for proving id for those over 70 say I’m now going to have my 5th or 6th try at getting this awful task out of the way. I was blown away by how easy it was. Took less than 5 minutes to get through 4 different verification checks and submit over 5 different forms of ID/address verification. I last bought/sold a place 10 years ago and the equivalent would have taken significantly longer, sending the same material to different providers and having to go back and forth to ensure they had the right information. This was seamless.
