### 5/5 — One of the best apps I own

*2022-11-10, version 2022.3*

Hydration is under-appreciated for its impact on both general health and sports performance. This app lets me quickly track hydration and it’s smart features keep my hydration goal tuned to my activity and weather. Absolutely an essential app, especially for athletes. (There’s a reason Tom Brady watches his hydration like a hawk.)

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2022-01-23, version 2021.4*

This app is such a gem. I was using WaterMinder but was frustrated that the reminders could only be set to go off at set times of the day and not when you actually need to drink water. This app takes into account how much activity you’ve done and the weather at your current location. It adjusts the drink reminders AND your needed water intake accordingly. It’s brilliant! I use it with my Apple Watch and it’s beautifully integrated. The user interfaces, on both the watch and the phone, are minimal and effective. This is the best water app I’ve come across.

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2022-01-07, version 2021.4*

Good app

### 5/5 — Awesome APP. Does the things what it does exactly.

*2020-10-14, version 2020.1*

Best water tracker app i came across. No Ads and a clean UI. Best part of the app is the developer. Responds to the feedback very well. When you want to track water intake get this one over the other apps which have ads and premium features are too expensive.

### 5/5 — Falling behind

*2020-05-21, version 2019.8*

Thirstic should be the beat water tracker hands down but it’s still just missing the key features to put it over the edge, like a Watch app or logging different types of drinks. I bought a lifetime subscription when it launched but admittedly the lack of meaningful updates have made me regret that purchase. I always end up switching back to Waterminder.

### 5/5 — Legit water tracking app

*2019-11-26, version 2019.6*

This has everything I’ve wanted in a water tracking app. I’m switching from waterminder to this. Looks very well made.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — Export graphs?

*2024-06-08*

Is there a way to export the visual charts?

### 3/5 — Nice little app, appreciate the privacy, just one thing

*2024-05-14*

I like this app it’s easy, not trying to sell something, not annoying, clean UI.

My one gripe is the water amount selection - instead of defaulting to last-used, it defaults to what you should drink. That’s silly! My glasses are say, 8oz, if I’m behind, I’ll drink glasses til I’m ahead. I’m not measuring 2oz or 12oz of water, I have no time for that! It super slows down the use of the app because I need to change my selection literally every time. If it weren’t for that it would be a 5 stars keeper.

### 3/5 — Really good app but missing key features

*2024-04-29*

This app is really the best for water tracking! I like very much the integration with apple health! But a couple of key features are missing to make it the best one:

1.- Widget! The widget will be the killer option! This will allow to log the water tracking more easily. Please add it

2.- integration with Siri: Is it possible to integrate it with Siri?

Best regards, @JRGN

### 3/5 — One complaint

*2023-05-18*

I actually really liked this app, but find I'm not using it, because unless I'm missing sunbathing really obvious, I find it annoying that every single time I want to add water I have to scroll through all the quantity options to find the one I want. I wish there was a way to set a favorite or have it default to whatever quantity you last drank etc as I usually am recording when I finish a bottle of water, I don't want to start at 2 Oz and scroll all the way through to find what I need every time.

### 3/5 — I just woke up and it already wants me to drink 1/4 of my water

*2021-11-10, version 2021.4*

I just woke up. It’s 8 am and Thirstic wants me to drink 24 oz, more than 25% of my water for the day. C’mon man, how is that logical?

### 3/5 — Needs work

*2021-01-07, version 2020.4*

It’s new, so I know there’s things to add and fix..but I didn’t understand the app much, maybe a guide to help understand the circles better. I think I got it but I’m not sure if I’m correct. Also, I work at night, and I couldn’t adjust the hours to my liking, only from 8am - 11pm, nothing after 12am and forward. Reminders confused me as it would say I needed, for example, 21oz and it would keep reminding me, and if I didn’t drink it the number kept going higher. Did it mean 21oz all at once, sips? A little more info would be incredibly helpful. Hopefully it gets better.

### 4/5 — Good - one small shortcoming

*2024-05-28*

Use this app multiple times per day. Generally, it’s quite good. However, for those times I forget to log water consumed, it would be nice to be able to specify the time.

### 4/5 — Great but missing some features

*2020-08-19, version 2019.8*

I wish it had a watch app and the ability to add custom drink types and sizes.

### 5/5 — Simple. Perfect.

*2024-08-12*

Improved my life… just simple tracking with reminders. Perfect.
Love the easy access watch face complication.

### 5/5 — Simple and effective

*2024-07-09*

Most water tracking apps are overly complicated and lose sight of why the average person uses this app. Love the concept of including activity into water tracking. Other apps that cost $30 a year haven’t figured that out yet, so kudos

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best of them all

*2024-06-16*

I downloaded all of the free water tracking apps I think in total like seven or eight this is the best one. Save yourself some time and just download and use it.

One thing that I’d like to see is to set a custom amount the smarts and figuring out how much water you need is cool and all, but I want to set my own number

### 5/5 — Trying to drink enough water and keep track.

*2024-04-28*

Many water apps are not easy enough to use!! Thank you for limiting options and directions!!

### 5/5 — So simple!

*2024-01-14*

This app is great! So simple and free! I love the watch complication and if I work out it suggests I drink more.

### 5/5 — Great

*2024-01-09*

This app is very easy to use. It’s helping me get track of my water in take. I appreciate the reminders, and that I’m not constantly being asked to upgrade for a minimal fee, or having to watch advertisements.

### 5/5 — Too bad I just purchased Premium

*2023-12-13*

I am a bit disappointed that I just literally paid for a a yearly membership to find out that they are giving Premium out for free now. Otherwise, a great app.

### 5/5 — Best Apple Watch app

*2023-03-03*

Really simple and does exactly what we need

### 5/5 — A Promising Start

*2023-01-31, version 2022.3*

I’m giving Thirstic a try and it seems there are a few things that it doesn’t use for calculating my water needs. It seems like it should be pulling my age, weight and height from Apple Health, as well as any workouts. Perhaps even period tracking information as hydration needs can change over the course of one’s cycle. Also, it doesn’t let me log drinks other than water. While coffee might not be as hydrating, there is some hydration benefit to it, which should be counted. And it would be interesting to see how soda or a glass of wine increases the need for hydration. I’m not sure if these are things under consideration, but it would probably help me make the change from Hidrate, which is what I’m currently using, but have grown unsatisfied with over time. Thanks for considering!

Update: After using a little longer, I really like the simplicity of it. I like that there are no streaks to worry about. You either drank enough water or you didn’t. I still think the above updates would be helpful, and a response from the dev would be appreciated. Either way, I’ll likely buy a lifetime subscription as it is doing exactly what I need it to do.

### 5/5 — Small and useful

*2023-01-15, version 2022.3*

Great UI. Easy to use
