### 4/5 — My thoughts

*2023-02-16, version 1.3.10*

The app is a good way to remember to put your phone down while driving. I wish there was an easier way to tell the app when you’re a passenger and not driving.

### 4/5 — Intriguing Concept

*2023-02-13, version 1.3.10*

I just learned about and downloaded this app last week. I’m very intrigued about the concept and premise of the app’s mission, though it does seem to have some kinks tagged still need to be ironed out.

For example, one should not be dinged for using navigation/maps on the phone if the phone is mounted while driving, but it appears that I was since my % of driving time undistracted took a big hit after a drive last week while using the app. There was a second situation in which I finished the drive and wanted to check my status, but I received an update saying it I was still driving. I didn’t end up receiving any points for that trip. It would also help if the app showed a history of recent activity so one could one coukd easily track/monitor how one is performing against the app. But I’m willing to give it a bit more time.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your experience! Have you checked out our in-app navigation feature? If you set up your navigation prior to starting your drive by selecting the "Open Maps" button, you'll be able to use Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze without any impact to your score! Feel free to send us any follow-up questions to team@thisappsaveslives.com. Thank you! - TASL Team

### 4/5 — Great!

*2023-02-13, version 1.3.10*

This app is great and definitely helps keep drivers undistracted. I don’t think you’ll realize how much you use your phone while driving until you use this app. The app is super easy to use, just set your location to always and start driving. You don’t even need to open the app. I’m hoping that more brands will collaborate with TASL so there is more variety when redeeming points but they still have a good amount now. I will definitely recommend this app to anyone!

### 5/5 — Great way to stay motivated off your phone

*2022-09-29, version 1.3.7*

The rewards are beneficial. They also make me feel accomplished in seeing my 👌hours un distracted .

### 5/5 — I love TASL <3

*2022-09-29, version 1.3.7*

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND, EARN REWARDS AND POINTS FOR BASICALLY DOING NOTHING!
Another good passive income app that’s for an amazing cause! & I’m all for that!

I am always looking and researching for passive income apps and “jobs” when I saw TASL pop up, I downloaded it immediately and got a $100 TASL point sign up Reward, I was surprised! I “use” the app all the time and by “use” I mean I just signed up and I let the app do its thing in the background! While I’m driving I’m remembered not to be distracted because I’ll be rewarded for it, I was already a safe driver before and stayed off my phone but now I’m being recognized for it! Haha. Thank you to the app creators and everyone who has supported this app since the beginning, you all made it what it is today and it’s great!

### 5/5 — Being rewarded for being a good driver!

*2022-09-27, version 1.3.7*

Nothing better than being rewarded for being a good driver! I drive a lot so it's nice being able to get rewards from it

### 4/5 — I couldn’t get it to work?

*2022-09-25, version 1.3.7*

Edited from a previous review:

I have to drive for work and this app rewards me for doing the same thing I’ve been doing for years, which is driving undistracted. However, the rewards aren’t super lucrative as of right now, and it sometimes registers I’m driving when I’m not, or says I’m finished driving when I’m still in the car.

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2022-09-14, version 1.3.7*

Earning rewards for safe driving is a great concept, and I love the TASL app! It’s incredible and I highly recommend, especially for young drivers!

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2022-09-11, version 1.3.7*

i found out about this app through UNIDAYS as a college student. i love the concept and i believe this app really will save lives. moms and dads definitely should use this app for there kids

### 5/5 — Safety is number one

*2022-09-09, version 1.3.7*

Anything that helps keep you and others safe deserves 5-stars. TASL is a great app that everyone should install.

### 5/5 — App

*2022-09-09, version 1.3.7*

Over all it’s a good app. Only used it for like a month but I already accumulated points and have signed up too see what I can get, so far so good. And they are a small company and just trying to make driving safe again so it’s worth it.

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2022-09-08, version 1.3.7*

What a great and easy way to motivate people to stay off their phone while driving. A chance to win gift cards for doing something you should already be doing! Would like a wider variety of gift card options but your app is still new. Thank you for such a great idea.

### 4/5 — Stay Safe Stay Focused

*2022-09-08, version 1.3.7*

TASL is a great app to help remove any distractions from your phone while driving. It rewards you for paying attention to the road and reducing the chance of accidents. I would recommend it to everyone!

### 5/5 — Works well

*2022-09-08, version 1.3.7*

This app works well in the background. I set it Ms forget it. Wish there were more relevant vendors to redeem my points but I am hoping that comes in time.

### 4/5 — Great, but…

*2022-09-08, version 1.3.7*

I really enjoy the app. Although I try to avoid using my phone while driving, I will sometimes lapse. This is a helpful reminder.
My only issue is: I use my phone for many traveling apps ie :gasbuddy. When I stop for gas or to find the other things if I don’t wait for an unknown time it penalizes as using it when I’m moving.

### 5/5 — Get it 100%

*2022-09-08, version 1.3.7*

Best app I could’ve ever downloaded thank you so much for the creators and I rlly recommend this app it saves lives, we should all have always an app that prevents us from using our phones and what better than this one, you also get rewards and free stuff

### 4/5 — Good but prizes

*2022-09-08, version 1.3.7*

There aren’t many prizes to choose from that are actually good, they’re basically coupons. also sometimes it says i’m not paying attention when i am even when my phones off and i’m not playing music. other then that it’s good

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Won’t even verify email

*2022-12-28, version 1.3.7*

This app doesn’t work at all for new users trying to register. Tried to register, app crashes. Tried to register again under same email, said the email was already in use and to respond to the verification email. Tried to register as a new user under another email, still won’t work. It’s been a week and dozens of requests to send the verification email to either address, but nothing in inbox, spam folder, or trash. I’ve deleted and re-I stalled the app to no avail. No response from company to emails from both addresses sent a week ago asking for assistance.

Maybe this used to be a five star app, but if you read the most recent reviews versus the most helpful, it’s nothing but a sea of one star reviews and I completely understand why. Developer doesn’t seem to give a rat’s behind about keeping app up to date and users happy. For an app like this that actually WORKS like it should and has good customer service, I’m happy to pay. I know this app is currently free, but it’s useless.

**Developer response:** Hi there, we're sorry to hear that you're having issues with signing up for TASL. We'd love to get some additional details from you so that we can investigate the issue and get you on the app and on the road safely! Please send us an email at team@thisappsaveslives.com. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon. - TASL Team

### 1/5 — Rewards are coupon codes basically

*2022-10-01, version 1.3.7*

The available rewards are sometimes lower than the standard offers from the sites if you use them directly, or just their standard offers. Like Bombas’ 20% off first order for new customers. So there’s nothing to spend points on, other than donating or hoping you are a winner of an actual gift card if you use them for that purpose. The app is not integrated to your system, so if you forget to start it and hit “use map” it says you were driving with eyes off the road since you didn’t use maps THROUGH their application. I don’t feel people will continue to use it (selfish in nature) when it doesn’t 1)integrate better and 2)they want to use their points on something advantageous.

**Developer response:** Hi there, Thank you for sharing this valuable feedback. Rewards are refreshed weekly, so check back for updated offerings such as our new Roadie Rewards category. In the coming months, TASL will be offering a variety of gift card options for our dedicated safe drivers as well! Please reach out to us at team@thisappsaveslives.com and let us know what brands you'd like to redeem your TASL points for! Thank you, TASL Support

### 1/5 — Tried to “Sign in with Apple” - Error “the resource owner denied the request”

*2022-05-01, version 1.3.6*

I would’ve loved to see what the app was all about, but I couldn’t use the “Sign in with Apple” function. i kept getting an error that “the resource owner denied the request”. I thought that was a requirement for all apps listed in the App Store?

I was really hoping to see what kind of rewards were available for using the app since I saw some pretty ugly complaints online🤷‍♂️

### 2/5 — Ehh

*2022-06-21, version 1.3.6*

It’s cool too see how fast I can get points, but the “rewards” are simply coupons that websites already offer when you make a first purchase without using “This App Saves Lives”. 10-15% discounts don’t really make redeeming points worth it. Also the only way to get anything that’s actually worth wasting points on trying to get are the gift cards and to get the gift card you have to win a raffle. If I have over 1,000 points or even a higher amount I should be able to just redeem points for a gift card instead of wasting points to try and win a raffle or waste points on a very poor discount. Most “rewards” require you to have to make a purchase over X amount to even be able to use the discount.

**Developer response:** Hi April, thank you for your feedback. We pride ourselves on only offering exclusive rewards that are unique for TASL drivers! Rewards are also updated weekly with new offers, so we encourage you to stay tuned for new rewards that may resonate better with you. We'd love to know more about specific merchants and/or offers that may be more appealing to you, so please reach out to us anytime at team@thisappsaveslives.com with your suggestions!

Thank you,

### 2/5 — Eh

*2022-04-21, version 1.3.6*

It’s okay. I feel like this is the beginning stages where it could be ok but it’s still lacking some big stuff. There are some rewards but there is no variety, few options, and they don’t apply nationwide. Second, I really wish there was a start/stop drive button. I don’t like having to sit in my car until it recognizes I stopped moving otherwise I lose points. Other than those two things, the graphics are well done and they’re simplistic in a good way.

### 2/5 — Great idea, terrible rewards.

*2022-03-28, version 1.3.6*

Sometimes I honestly pick up my phone while driving in spite of this app.. just kidding.

But really, I loved the idea because I find it motivating that I get to earn points just for keeping my phone away while I drive, which is easy enough. However, the rewards are really not great, it’s just small discounts on pricey things that I am never going to spend my money on. I wish you (TASL creators) might add some more options that are a little bit more worthwhile. I can understand how they might not want to give things away for free since it is pretty easy to earn the points, but I’m never going to use any of the rewards that are offered and it makes me dislike your app.

I think that you could add some real prizes but maybe they cost more points. For example, I could redeem 300 points for 10% my purchase of $60 at some place, but maybe instead I’d rather have to save up 1,500 points but then get a $5 Starbucks gift card! I would prefer actual prizes for my efforts instead of a sale that a company probably would already have anyway.

### 2/5 — Kinda annoying

*2019-12-13, version 1.0*

So I downloaded this app because I know texting while driving is a serious issue in today’s world. But the first time I began using it, I realized that the offers are not really that great, but I thought I would give it a shot anyway. And the thing that really got me was when I was driving it would sent me notifications through email and through the app that I have just earned points. And sometimes while I was on the highway it sends an identical notification within 2 minutes of each other. It was annoying to me because it was defeating the purpose of distracted driving. I do believe that this app can get better through time but it needs some work.

### 3/5 — Maps are funky

*2022-10-24, version 1.3.7*

I don’t recommend the app if you don’t already know where you’re driving. You can’t get into maps through the button they provide and if you do it’s extra laggy. However if you already know where you’re going the app is a cool way at a chance at earning some gift cards.

### 3/5 — Great concept, meh rewards

*2022-09-08, version 1.3.7*

For how much of a hassle it is to run the app every time you drive (or let them constantly track you, no thanks) the rewards just aren’t worth it. Great concept and I hope they continue to improve the user-friendliness of the app and get partners to sign on for better rewards.

### 3/5 — A Good Idea…

*2021-12-23, version 1.3.5*

It’s great in theory, and worked fine for a few days, but then it stopped accumulating points. I’m not doing anything differently, but I’ve been stuck at 164 points for 2 days, and my commute is approximately 70 miles a day. Maybe I misunderstood how it works?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good app for a good cause

*2023-03-05*

Just got this app. My cousin was killed in a crash by a distracted driver, so this hits home for me. I know people who have been ticketed for texting while driving, and were so upset, but you were just lucky no one got hurt. I will recommend this app to everyone I know.

### 5/5 — Great App.

*2023-02-22, version 1.3.10*

This app is great. All you have to do is nothing, just leave your phone turned on and leave it down, which means you do not pick it up and you get rewards automatically.

The perfect app.

### 5/5 — Simple app but packs a huge punch!

*2023-02-14, version 1.3.10*

I'm new to the app and only a couple days in and i'm a fan! I needed a good incentive to make me put my phone down while driving and here it is, i'm looking for a long lasting relationship, thanks!

### 5/5 — Amazing Idea

*2023-02-11, version 1.3.10*

I consider myself a pretty safe driver, but I imagine using this app is going to show me how often I actually have the urge to look at my phone (even just a glance). Such a great idea!

### 5/5 — PLEASE DO THIS FOR YOURS AND EVERYONES SAKE

*2023-02-10, version 1.3.10*

It is crazy to think that we have come down to needing an app to positively reinforce us and incentivize us to not use our phones while driving. So please, for the sake of yourself and those around you, download this app to help remind you to STOP TEXTING AND DRIVING.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-01-11, version 1.3.7*

Its a great app to have specially if you are a uber or food delivery person earn rewards meanwhile doing what you are already doing.

### 5/5 — Kansas lovers

*2022-12-26, version 1.3.7*

Excited to use this , we do travel and if anyone is one the phone it’s me while my spouse is driving!

### 5/5 — App

*2022-12-18, version 1.3.7*

Runs in the background to earn points- only downside is need to always share your location.

### 5/5 — It is very convenient especially if youre always driving around for points and get cash back

*2022-11-21, version 1.3.7*

It’s like fetch but for driving

### 5/5 — Definitely Recommend

*2022-10-25, version 1.3.7*

I have only had it for a short time but the app is easy to use and you can get great deals by just driving safely.
