Not someday. ThisDay. Most planners hand you a backlog. ThisDay hands you a day. Every task, note, voice memo, event and habit lands on a real date; not in a someday pile you scroll past for months. Open the app and there is one thing in front of you: today, in the order it happens. ONE DAY, EVERY KIND OF THING Tasks, events, notes, voice memos, photos and habits share one list, because they share one day. A habit at 10:00 sits between the 9:00 task and the 11:00 meeting, where it belongs. Same row, same swipe, same checkbox, whatever kind of thing it is. Your own calendars appear inline too, at the hour they happen, so a morning with a meeting in it never looks free. EVERYTHING CAN REMIND YOU Record a voice memo and put a reminder on it. Write a note and have it find you at 6pm. Your phone can already take a voice memo, it just can't tell you about it later. ThisDay can. HABITS THAT TICK THEMSELVES Point a habit at Apple Health and stop reporting on yourself. Steps, exercise minutes, active energy, sleep, the Watch's three rings, and workouts from running to yoga. Set the number you're aiming at; ThisDay watches for it and fills the ring as your day fills it. ThisDay only reads Health, never writes to it, and only the measurement each habit names. Nothing leaves your device. And a habit is never marked done because a sensor said so and you disagreed. No reading is ever "done"; if your watch was on the charger, the tick is still yours to make. Your tick always wins. APPLE REMINDERS, BOTH WAYS The Reminders lists you choose show up in your day, next to everything else, read-only: ThisDay never edits somebody else's row. And when you ask for it, the other direction. Tasks you make here are written back out as reminders, so they reach Siri, a Mac that doesn't run ThisDay, and anyone you share a list with. Switching it off takes the copies back out. NOTHING GETS BURIED Unfinished work follows you to today instead of quietly aging on a date you've already passed. Completed things can leave the list or stay in a folded section, your call. MOMENTS Keep a photo from a day worth keeping. Months later it's still filed under the day it happened on. IN YOUR LANGUAGE ThisDay now speaks English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Every screen, every notification, every widget, every Siri phrase. YOUR MONTH, TOLD BACK TO YOU When a month ends, ThisDay puts it together as a handful of cards: what you finished, the habits you kept, where the month went, the pictures you saved, and the hour of the day you actually get things done. Every January closes the year the same way. REPEATS YOU CAN TRUST Repeats can say which day of the month they mean: the 27th, the first Thursday, the last day. Deleting one occurrence asks what you meant, the way a calendar does. And you choose what an untouched repeat does when its day passes: stay, follow you to today, or go. A HOME SCREEN WORTH LOOKING AT Widgets for Today, Calendar, Inbox, Habits, Moments and Polaroids. Tick a habit or a task straight from one. Sixty app icons, one group of them following your accent colour. ALSO NEW Google, Outlook and Exchange calendars. Shortcuts and Siri. Any colour you like for a category. The week can start on Saturday. QUIETER Syncing with iCloud no longer announces itself. It says so once, on a device that has never pulled your account down before, where an empty day needs explaining. After that it works in silence. SMALLER THINGS THAT ADD UP The save buttons in the capture sheet are pinned to the foot of it now, side by side, so a long form can no longer push them off the screen. Settings goes sideways instead of upwards: opening a category and then its icon picker used to stack three sheets, and now each slides in beside the last with a way back. A photo zooms to the point you pinched and can be dragged around once it is bigger than the screen. And when a newer ThisDay is on the App Store, the app says so once and asks. FIXED Repeating tasks could pile up on Today as overdue copies of the same task. A reminder that had already rung stayed on the Lock Screen after you ticked the thing off. An event mirrored to your calendar came back and appeared twice. A long screen name in the navigation broke across two lines mid-word. The calendar in every widget was stuck on a Monday week. The small confirmation sounds ignored the ring/silent switch after a voice note had been recorded or played.
