I've been listening to the radio talk shows for 40 years used to listen to Rush Limbaugh and other bombastic individuals and got dumber as a result. People who listen to Thom Hartmann no more than any other audience in the country including NPR listeners. ### 4/5 — Please, no more AI music! *2026-03-17* The content is masterful. The delivery is great. The callers are smart. But I can hardly stand to listen anymore because the AI songs disrupt the flow of conversation so much. I’m constantly having to tell Siri to advance One minute for another 30 seconds etc. The songs are not special; they have become annoying. I will give back the 5 star rating when the podcast offers the songs stacked up at the end for people who actually enjoy these AI creations ### 2/5 — Buggy *2023-10-13, version 2.2.2* Past 2 updates have been very buggy. I have to close and restart the app for every episode. Please fix this. ### 2/5 — Back navigation button still missing *2023-09-05* The back button, which used to be in the upper left corner of the screen when listening to a particular downloaded podcast episode, is still missing in the current version. As it is now, if you click on a podcast episode, you can download the episode but you can’t get back to the list of podcast episodes to download another. You now have to close the app and reopen it to get to the list of podcast episodes for download. Please restore this feature. It’s a pain to use the app without it. ### 2/5 — Turns off when phone sleeps. *2023-09-01, version 2.2.1* This app worked fine until about a week ago now, as soon as the phone goes to sleep, the audio stops. I reinstalled the app and that did not help. In its place is a solid black bar... Administrators & fans - This app has not been acting right. My Apple phone is modern and up-to-date, yet this App has?lost it audio. Así have tried calling the W Show from the App, and I get a survey not related to the Show. Please weed out your saboteurs, Thom! Dave months ago: I'm a Patreon supporter and a big fan of Thom's show (and his newsletter etc). I usually listen streaming on WCPT Chicago or locally on KXRY FM. I want to advise you that maybe this Thom Hartmann Show's App for i Phone has been hacked. This morning (from Portland, OR) when I tried calling the Show - for the first time from the i Phone app, the party that answered had an automated screening/ greeting that did not identify themselves, and began asking me questions about my health. Then when I answered (by pressing 1), i was taken to a salesperson who again did it identify their company and who "congratulated" me for earning a free medical device. I said "no thank you" and hung up. And now i am letting you all know. I also think it's suspicious how often Thom H. Show's phone lines are on the blink. Seems the stupid aggressive/ brainwashed rightwingers have an army of trolls. I cannot listen to the podcast until after 3 PM Pacific time some days I can’t listen at all because it just immediately starts fast forwarding and within 30 seconds the entire show is over and it starts again. That is what’s happening today the first hour just keeps blinking. Cannot listen at all the second and third hour after the music Tom talks for 30 seconds and then it restarts back to the music It’s very frustrating not being able to use the app or a membership that I subscribed for. I try to listen every day some days I cannot listen at all like today. ### 1/5 — new and improved? app *2024-10-01* The app beeps non-stop while trying to listen to the show and when paused beeps louder. ### 1/5 — New version still not ok *2023-09-02* The quick release of the latest version did not help. The audio stops playback when the phone Lock Screen appears. The back button that was previously available after clicking on a particular podcast episode to download is gone, so it’s now a dead end: if you click on an episode and download it, all you can do is listen to that episode. To get to another, you have to close and reopen the app. Please fix these issues. While listening to the live show, you cannot navigate to another app because the audio will stop playing. Also when your phone locks, the audio will stop playing. The old app didn’t have these problems. Please fix because who is going to use this app if you cannot play the audio in the background. ### 1/5 — App won’t play in background *2023-08-30, version 2.2* Latest release prevents the app from playing in the background. So unless you touch your screen every 20 seconds to keep your screen up and waste your battery, the app will go silent. The old version had a “News” button which contained a beautiful list of links to all the articles referenced on the show for the previous day and also a preview of the topics/guests on the current day’s program. That button has been eliminated. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother with this. *2020-03-10, version 1.2.0* This app is fairly useless. It will play for a couple minutes then stop. You have to force close the app and reload to resume for another couple minutes. ### 1/5 — Missing Podcasts *2020-01-13* I have been a subscriber for multiple years now. Starting about a month ago my Podcasts have disappeared. I really don’t know what to do about this. I have been to the Apple store and they cannot do anything to help me. Together we deleted the app and then reload it, I logged back in as a subscriber, they recognized me and said my content had been unlocked, and then I still don’t have podcasts. Can anybody suggest something to help? I miss listening to Thom Hartmann. I have sent multiple requests for help to RollSEO. They do not respond. My Internet provider is Verizon and I am in the Portland Oregon area. In the past I have successfully listened over cellular. My next thing to try is going to the Apple Store for their fast Wi-Fi to see if Verizon is somehow blocking me. For years I would’ve rated this app as five stars. While there are other podcasts that will give you the headlines, I learn things here that aren’t always covered on the others. I also appreciate Thom’s delivery and voice, he has a very soothing quality that makes these turbulent times a bit easier to digest.
