I was able to import all of my quotes using the help tips in the app. Now I can see them via the widgets using the app every day. I love it! Something simple and clean to save and manage quotes. A couple of things would make it perfect I think. 1. A little more meta data for the quotes. I know I can use collections to group quotes from a particular book but it would be very useful to be able to be able to assign chapter, page number and some context/personal thoughts on a quote. 2. I also wanted a daily reminder, randomly chosen from my quotes… to help me start my day. This app did all that with amazing customer service. I noticed that my notifications were not randomized, I kept seeing the same quote. I reached out to the developer, and I heard back within a day. The bug was fixed immediately. The only choice is to pay for a month. Second the app shows the ability to create notes as either quotes or inspirations, but when you create a new note you are not given that option; there is no way to organize your work as shown on the initial information. Third, I went to the help page/centre hoping to find answers because this app is what I have been looking for, but there were no answers for the issues stated here and no link to more information/contact to find answers. The info there is only for the iOS version and I am working on my Mac. Auch unter Einstellungen besteht keine Möglichkeit dies zu ändern. An und für sich eine App, die man nicht braucht. Wofür sollen irgendwelche Sprüche oder Zitate gut sein? **Developer response:** Hallo Gery, die App Thoughts ist in deutscher Sprache verfügbar, lediglich die Inspirationsvorschläge im Entdecken Tab und im Onboarding sind momentan ausschließich in englischer Sprache verfügbar. In den Systemeinstellungen kann für Thoughts zwischen Deutsch und Englisch als Sprache gewählt werden. In Thoughts kannst du dir eine Bibliothek aus Gedanken und Zitaten aufbauen, die dich inspireren und an die du dich erinnern möchtest. Die Sprache der Inhalte, die du in Thoughts speicherst, legst letztendlich du fest. Schade, dass Du die App nicht gebrauchen kannst, aber das ist natürlich in Ordnung. Viele Andere finden Wert in dieser App und Bewertungen wie deine sorgen leider dafür, dass weniger Menschen die App finden und ausprobieren können. Very confusing since two places it says free with review. ### 2/5 — der Ansatz hat Potential… *2024-12-26* …. es bleibt aber leider nur der Ansatz von Potenzial. Die Grundidee Zitate, eigene Gedanken, Textschnipsel und Passagen aus Büchern in einer Oberfläche zu vereinen ist fantastisch. Die Realität in dieser App - der Gedanke zu einem Zitat wird im eigentlichen Zitat hinterlegt obwohl ein eigener Bereich angelegt wird. Zitate sind oft von gleichen Autoren - ein Autorenordner, nicht existent. Sammlungen, eine schöne Idee, nur leider nutzlos ohne Unterordner (Beispiel, Gedanken zu einem Buch - ich kann den Autor zwar anlegen aber alle Textpassagen landen in der selben Sammlung als eigener Textbaustein und sind nicht sortierbar) Die Kuh vom Eis bekommt man wenn man alle Autoren „Tag‘t“ dazu Stimmung, Charakter des Zitats usw. und für jedes Buch oder was auch immer, eine eigene Sammlung erstellen. Ich dachte das soll die Sache vereinfachen und kein Tag- und Sammlungsmonster erschaffen. Die Idee ist super, die Umsetzung leider nicht sehr intuitiv und durchdacht, dazu dieses Englisch Deutsch Chaos, dass alles für 20€ Einmalbetrag, Probezeitraum für die Pro Funktionen, nicht existent. Wer zum Thema halbwegs ambitioniert unterwegs ist wird an dieser App nicht viel Freude haben. **Developer response:** Hallo Fran67, danke für dein ehrliches und ausführliches Feedback! Ich möchte gerne im Folgenden auf deine Anmerkungen eingehen: Autorenverwaltung: Wie du erwähnt hast, gibt es aktuell keine eigene Ansicht für Autoren. Das hat den Hintergrund, dass das Anlegen neuer Inspirationen so einfach und flexibel wie möglich bleiben soll. Statt ein festes Autorenverzeichnis zu führen, ist der Autor als Freitextfeld hinterlegt. Dadurch entfällt die Notwendigkeit, beim Speichern einer neuen Inspiration zunächst einen Autor anzulegen oder aus einer Liste auszuwählen. Falls du alle Inspirationen eines bestimmten Autors anzeigen möchtest, kannst du einfach in einer Inspirationsliste nach unten wischen, um die Suchleiste einzublenden. Dort kannst du den Namen des Autors eingeben und erhältst eine gefilterte Ansicht aller zugehörigen Einträge. Strukturieren der Bibliothek: Sammlungen und Tags helfen dabei die Bibliothek zu strukturieren. In der Tat ist es so gedacht, dass für jedes Buch, Podcast, Blog etc. (eine gemeinsame Quelle von Inspirationen) einen Sammlung angelegt wird. Im Support-Center der App finden sich ausführliche Erklärungen zu Zweck und Funktion von Tags und Sammlungen. Pro-Version & Probezeitraum: Ein separater Probezeitraum für Thoughts Pro ist nicht vorgesehen, da bereits alle relevanten Funktionen der App in der kostenlosen Version unbegrenzt getestet werden können. Erst wenn die App als nützlich empfunden wird und man unbegrenzt viele Inspirationen speichern möchte, wird das Upgrade auf Pro erforderlich. So kann jeder in Ruhe ausprobieren, ob Thoughts den eigenen Bedürfnissen entspricht, ohne ein Abo mit Probezeitraum abschließen zu müssen. Sprache & Lokalisierung: Die App ist vollständig für Deutsch lokalisiert, lediglich die Inhalte im Endecken Tab sind momentan ausschließlich auf Englisch verfügbar. Einige englische Begriffe wie Tag (Schlagwort) sind mittlerweile im deutschen Sprachgebrauch etabliert. Stört dich die Verwendung dieser Wörter, oder was meinst du mit "Englisch Deutsch Chaos"? Ich hoffe ich konnte einige deiner Anmerkungen erklären und arbeite weiterhin daran Thoughts auch für fortgeschrittene Anwender mit großen Inspirationsbibliotheken zu verbessern. I can write more than 20 quotes on my leg. I can store more than 20 quotes on a picture. I can store more than 20 quotes even if I encoded them in ASCII and used whether a person is facing towards me or away to indicate a 0 or a 1, and gathered some thousands of people together. I can store more than 20 quotes in a text file. I can store more than 20 quotes in a YouTube video. I can store more than 20 quotes on my walls. I can store more than 20 quotes in this review. I would suggest something more like 200, or 2000. I can store more than 20 quotes in a game of 21 Questions. There have already been half that many sentences in this review!!!!! ### 3/5 — Alte Version war besser. *2026-05-14* Die alte Version hatte ein sehr schönes, minimalistisches Design. Jetzt wirkt vieles unstimmig, überladen mit Funktionen, die ich nicht brauche. Schön wäre eine Einstellungsmöglichkeit, dass man zur alten Darstellung wechseln kann. **Developer response:** Vielen Dank für dein Feedback! Ein großer Fokus bei der Entwicklung der Version 2 waren Möglichkeiten zum Anpassen. Sektionen in der Home Ansicht kannst du nun beliebig umordnen, verstecken und zwischen verschiedenen Darstellungsoptionen wählen. Wenn es dir zu überladen wirkt, kannst du die Home Ansicht nun also frei nach deinen Wünschen anpassen. Die Möglichkeit findest du über den Button mit den drei Punkten oben rechts. In Version 2.0.1 gibt es zudem nun in den Einstellungen → Erscheinungsbild die Option, die Verwendung von Farben in der App einzuschränken, sodass der monochromatische Look der Version 1 eingestellt werden kann. Darüberhinaus gibt es sinnvolle Erweiterungen der Funktionen aus Version 1. Der Feed ist nun das Review und bietet die Möglichkeit beim Wiederanschauen Tags festzulegen, Reflexionen in Form von Notizen festzuhalten und optional den Inhalt vorgelesen zu bekommen, sodass mehr Sinne angesprochen werden und sich die Inhalte besser einprägen. Für Sammlungen kannst du nun eigene Cover festlegen, was insbesondere für Bücher viel nachgefragt worden ist. Inspirationen kannst du nun optional einen Titel geben, das kannst du aber auch über die drei Punkte oben links ganz einfach verstecken, wenn du es nicht brauchst. Ich kenne es selbst sehr gut, dass neue Updates oft erstmal etwas ungewohnt sind. Es würde mich freuen, wenn du das neue Update ausprobierst und deine Rezension aktualisierst. Mit Widgets passiv auf dem Home Screen, man kann tägliche Norifications mit einem Zitat aus der eigenen Sammlung einstellen oder neu das Review. Ich fand es erst etwas ungewöhnt, mag es aber mittlerweile gern einfach mal in der Bahn ein Review durchzugehen, die Zitate anzusehen und was ich grad darüber denke in einer Notiz festzuhalten.
