Nice idea, but doesn’t always work and the UX isn’t great either. Hopefully it will improve. I paid to support development because I need something like this.

I’ve been using this to post to BlueSky for quite a while. It gives you markdown options as well as a calendar showing your past post. And I can post right from the app, much like Mars Edit but far simpler and easier to use. Issac Shea has written a much needed app.

Threaditor is a very easy to use app that has helped me immensely 
I highly recommend the plus version, it is cheap and you only have to pay once
