Once you open your magazine, it a great reading experience though. ### 2/5 — Worked at first *2025-03-13, version 26.0.0* I have a paper subscription which is supposed to include digital access. It seems to have locked me out after sending in my renewal. Now I can only see one magazine even though I should have at least a year and a half of magazines to access. Very hard to get support!! ### 1/5 — Great magazine, appalling app *2022-01-04, version 20.2.11* I am so sick of this app. In trying to make it super helpful, with lots of hyperlinks, they’ve made really skittish. It takes ages to download, frequently wants to be updated, and frequently needs to be restored. In addition, the earliest magazines won’t restore so either I have to skip them or repurchase them (because neither iTunes nor Threads were helpful in sorting out this problem). ### 1/5 — Can’t see all issues purchased *2021-09-24, version 20.1.8* I got a new iPad a couple of months ago. Only the last 3 issues have restored. I’ve contacted Taunton for help and they haven’t helped at all. They’re telling me to contact Apple. No one at Apple to contact - this is an app issue, not an Apple issue. I’m about to cancel my subscription. I can’t even download the current issue. Special features are only on the website, which you have to log in to, and cost extra. I have to try not to touch any of them when I am reading the magazine and there are a lot of them. It's shouldn't be so annoying reading a magazine! Why can you just send the magazine out as a pdf like everyone else? I love the magazine. I hate the app! And I prefer the digital version so this is a problem for me. Felt I didn’t need to keep the paper copies, as I could refer back to them via the app. Only now I can’t, apparently, since the update. There are also only the 3 most recent magazines to download; you cannot search by issue # (eg. #218 or summer 2022). The explore function comes up with only 4 articles and there is nothing in my library archives. I do expect to have access to all the issues since the beginning of my subscription period but this is far from what is currently offered. ### 1/5 — Done *2025-02-05, version 26.0.0* Your update works great if you want to shut out your subscribers. I have a subscription where I get a hard copy and a digital. I love having digital so I can travel with it easier. Triple checked and I can login online just fine. App is pointless and disappointing. This periodic gem is always choc full of the latest in sewing advice and techniques (ie: Top down, center out pants fitting)! I can’t remember one issue that, after reading, I hadn’t learned at least one new tip. Thank you all for Threads! ### 5/5 — Very poorly designed app *2023-04-09, version 21.0.5* This app is extremely frustrating. The issues take ages to download and they never download fully. It is unclear what I paid for/what is included in my subscription. I thought I would have access to all old issues but the system lets me partially browse about six. If subscription means ‘current issues’, I can’t access the latest without paying extra. What kind if a joke is this?!! ### 5/5 — Love the app *2019-07-29, version 18.1.6* I have used this app for almost 8 years. I have never had a problem with it. One of the things I love most about it is that I can go directly to an advertiser’s website when I see one that is interesting to me. When I received the print version, I would have to write it down, or go to the computer and look it up right then or i would forget about the product. I than my wonderful friend Wy for introducing me to Threads. I read it cover to cover on the day I get it. I plan in the next few days what I want to make,tips I save, expert sewing advice I have/might need etc. and I tab those and any other articles I might have missed. Please subscribe you will not be disappointed no matter your sewing skill. It will challenge you to try something new that you never thought you could do.
