### 4/5 — Needs size filter

*2025-10-06, version 1.0.15*

This is great. Jus needs a size filter and emc family filter

### 4/5 — Very Handy - Updates Required

*2025-01-07, version 1.0.15*

Super handy app. Love that I can easily list all my colours and needs. The user interface isn't great with adding colours for the "need" and "have" by having to click the 0, then slide to quantify, then press done - this is too many clicks and could be simplified. Can this simply had a plus and minus next to each colour on the left and right column for "have" and "need", then it's simply one click for each addition/minus (and have this option in the "have" and "need" sections of the app. Would also be handy to be able to swipe from the right to delete colours from your have and need listings. App also requires an update of colours as there are more DMC colours released after 4190 that I'm not able to add as they aren't listed. If these could be added this app would be perfect! Thank you :)

### 4/5 — Thready Review

*2024-11-21, version 1.0.15*

I’ve only used this app for two weeks. I gotta say, I love it. My only suggestion to make it better is have a “need transition to have” ability. It’s annoying to enter floss twice.

### 4/5 — White, Ecru

*2024-05-17, version 1.0.15*

Love this app but where is white and ecru listed?????

### 4/5 — Simple but Effective; Needs DMC Coloris

*2024-04-28, version 1.0.15*

Easy interface. Seems to be only for DMC, which is fine for me. It’s missing the Coloris line, however. Last update was at least a year ago. Hoping there will be another.

### 4/5 — Overall good tracker

*2023-08-06, version 1.0.15*

As previous reviews state i wish there was a way to mark the ‘need’ sect as bought once i actually have the colors i need. It would be such an easy fix im surpised it hasnt been updated yet

### 4/5 — Great app

*2023-05-02, version 1.0.15*

Love it but still need some variegated floss added. Missing 4511

### 4/5 — Awesome app

*2022-12-14*

I love this app! It has enabled me to rationalise my stash and avoid those excess duplicates. There is at least one colour I recently bought - 3805 - which isn’t listed but given the overall usefulness of Thready, I can live with that. Big thanks to the developer.

### 4/5 — Simple but useful

*2022-12-05, version 1.0.14*

I really love that you can see the threads by color, name and number. The ability to sort by "have" and "need" is also great.
The only thing that I wish this app had is the ability to make multiple lists of threads. So you could have lists specific to a project. I'm working on a few different projects at the moment and I wish I could have a section where I can input the threads of each project so I could see what I have and what I need per project.

### 4/5 — Overall Very Useful

*2022-05-12, version 1.0.14*

Overall I really like this app. Being able to keep track of which threads I have has been really nice. There’s just a couple of things that keep it from being 5 star. When changing the number you need it doesn’t always register the change the first try. Also, it’d be really nice if there was a easier way to move needed colors over to colors you have. Maybe a ‘bought’ button that auto moves the number in the need side to the have side? Other then those couple of things this a pretty nice app.

### 3/5 — Good, simple app.

*2021-10-22, version 1.0.14*

Visually this app is great. Very easy to add what I have + what I need. However, I wish from the ‘need’ section that I could switch the color to ‘have’ in the same space. Once you purchase the color, you have to manually remove it from the ‘need’ category and re-search the color to add it to ‘have’, which is time consuming. If that was fixed I would easily give this app a 5 star rating!!

### 4/5 — Great app

*2021-09-27, version 1.0.14*

This app would be 5 stars in a heartbeat if we could just scan thread barcodes to register!

### 3/5 — Sad to see it’s missing some regular threads

*2021-09-03, version 1.0.14*

Just bought this and find that it’s missing a number of the threads I’m trying to add and I can’t find an option to add bee threads. Please update!!

### 4/5 — Great for Store Bought Floss

*2021-08-06, version 1.0.14*

I like the simplicity for store bought floss and will continue to use for that. I have a good bit of hand dyed floss I buy off Etsy and it would be nice if I could add and keep track of those as well.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very disappointed. Limited function

*2023-11-03, version 1.0.15*

It just lists the threads by DMC number. Cant re-sort to colours. No ability to add in fractions, eg, 0.5, in a free form box. The variegated threads don’t have the numbers visible until you click on the add box. My excel spreadsheet is more useful and flexible than this app. Feel ripped off having actually paid money for this.

### 1/5 — Not happy

*2023-06-27, version 1.0.15*

I just spent money for an app that doesn’t include all of the DMC threads. Very disappointed.

### 1/5 — Family Sharing?

*2023-03-20, version 1.0.15*

It only allows me to grab the app that another family member purchased. It doesn’t allow me to see the family member’s content. What’s the point of sharing then?

### 1/5 — Does NOT have ALL DMC threads

*2020-07-22, version 1.0.12*

Do not find any Pearle cottons, matt cotton, wool. DMC makes a whole lot more than just DMC stranded floss. And if that is what this thing tracks, it needs to say so.

### 2/5 — Needs updating

*2022-05-29, version 1.0.14*

This app is what I am looking for but needs to be updated. Doesn’t have all of DMC floss (variegated and satin, for example). I wish it would scan the barcode and that I could just type the number in rather than it being a scroll. I also wish (as others have stated) that transferring from needs to have was easier.

It keeps track of my threads which is nice.

### 2/5 — Not good enough

*2022-03-20, version 1.0.14*

I’m sad that I paid for this! There’s a lot of DMC thread not listed (think variegated), and this does not work for all the other brands.

### 2/5 — It’s okay

*2021-08-02, version 1.0.14*

Needed a lot of maintenance to fix some of the things it’s lacking. It also seems like the creator doesn’t to any updates for long periods of time. Last one was 11 months ago.

I wish there was a section that tells you which threads you don’t have so I know which ones I need to get. Instead of only telling you which ones you do have. There’s a spot for needed threads but I just want to know in general which ones I don’t have.

I doesn’t contain any thread except the 6 stranded cotton. Definitely needs a LOT more work. I feel like this app was abandoned, which is sad because it has so much potential. I wish I hadn’t paid money for this. It’s way too basic with no one running it and honestly a waste of money.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2021-07-22, version 1.0.14*

It is funny that you may pay such a small sum as £2.99 and still feel ripped off. Nonetheless I do. This app only supports DMC threads and, then, not even all of them. It is clunky to navigate, designed by someone who never tried using it themselves and therefore has no insight into how it should work and what it should contain. What displeases me most of all is that I still have to have side notes to keep track of all the threads I have and I don ‘t even have so many. I dare say it would feel wholly inadequate for those with a bigger and richer collection. Disappointed.

### 3/5 — Expected more for a paid app

*2024-07-19, version 1.0.15*

The concept of this app is great. It has a mostly complete list of DMC colours which you can search, into what you have and what you need. That's where the usefulness of this app ends. You can't export your stash to a PDF to create a colour scheme based on what you have, you have to search everything by number every time. You can't take notes on the thread, and it's only got DMC colours, so if you have a mix of DMC and anchor or something, you have to use another app for the other brand. A lot of work uploading your stash to be able to do little with it afterwards.

### 3/5 — So close!

*2023-10-05, version 1.0.15*

Really great but I wish there was a better way to mark that you’ve purchased what you needed instead of having to do it twice. Also would be great to have an account so you could sync across devices. I’d rather not take my iPad to the store.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Quick and easy

*2026-05-06, version 1.1.3*

Fantastic and easy to keep track of your threads - one time payment and currently only DMC threads
Two things I’d love added/fixed if possible
1 - ability to add your own thread (for the threads that aren’t currently in the apps list)
2 - I agree with one of the other comments that a button to add would be quicker than a dial option (but I understand would make the interface squishier)

### 5/5 — Just what I wanted

*2025-05-27, version 1.0.15*

Excellent for keeping track of DMC stranded cotton. I love the colour comparison feature. Can sort by what you already have or need in the future.

### 5/5 — For the price, it's five stars

*2025-01-31, version 1.0.15*

Very simple, handy. Sorts in numerical order - if like the option to sort by name or color (wish the app could make a giant rainbow of all the colors I have). Would love ability to add notes. But for the price, I have no complaints.

### 5/5 — Great App; needs fine tuning.

*2024-04-12, version 1.0.15*

I like how simple and straightforward this app is. One suggestion I have is being able to just tap the numbers if I need it instead of a dropdown to select the quantity I need.

### 5/5 — Very easy app to use and all new DMC floss numbers included.

*2023-01-07, version 1.0.15*

At last a very easy app to use to keep a record of you DMC floss numbers. So easy to use.. type in floss number in search, left side of the screen is for the quantity you have, 1,2,3 flosses. Middle of the screen is floss colour, right side is ‘need’ or as I call it ‘my shopping list’😊
Easy scrolling shows you what floss you have before you start a project and what you need to buy. All new DMC floss numbers are included after update. Well worth download and have a look.

### 5/5 — Love the app!

*2022-07-26, version 1.0.14*

Love the app and how easy it is to track my thread inventory and to determine what I need with the Need list.

Only suggestion: Would love if I could also track my Mill Hill beads someday.

### 5/5 — Amazing! By Willstitchyoheart

*2022-03-09, version 1.0.14*

I run a small business on Instagram (Willstitchyoheart) and I use this app constantly to help me organise my thread inventory. It’s a great app and I can’t imagine not having it. Organising thread stocks would be a nightmare!!

### 5/5 — Good design!

*2022-03-06, version 1.0.14*

Of all the floss inventory apps I’ve looked at so far, I like this interface the best! My only complaint is that it doesn’t have Satin; will you be updating it with that at any point?

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2021-08-01, version 1.0.14*

I previously submitted a review asking about the “need” list because it wasn’t popping up for me. This was easily fixed by completely closing out of the app, then reopening it :-) Hopefully this tidbit helps someone else!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2021-05-17, version 1.0.14*

Love this app, but something I think that could improve it is if the “I need” section had a way to break it down. Maybe create a list under it for a specific project, then have the threat needed listed there
