As one reviewer said, “Don’t fix something that isn’t broken.” ### 1/5 — Update made this app unusable *2026-04-05* The major update of this app has rendered it pretty much useless. You can no longer add anything to your cart in the app, the prices for weighed items are completely wrong, and it takes too long to load when trying to search for products. I used to use this app multiple times a week so it’s a real bummer for it to have been so completely ruined. ### 1/5 — Don’t Waste The Space *2026-03-29* Thrifty Foods recently updated the app so you can’t place orders with it. All it does is add to a “Grocery List” that you can’t even transfer to the actual website where you make your online orders. Whoever made this update needs to be fired. This is the dumbest update possible and this app is completely useless now. “We've redesigned the Thrifty Foods app from the ground up with modern technology, a fresh interface, and improved performance. This is a complete replatform built to make your grocery shopping experience faster and easier.” - By completely removing the one function of the app it was good for: The online ordering. You can put as much corporate lipstick on the pig as your want, it doesn’t change how braindead this is. ### 1/5 — New but not improved *2026-03-14* Poorly designed app. Difficult to search for items as too many products are displayed or nothing is displayed at all. The shopping list is not sorted by category making it frustrating to use as you have to scroll up and down constantly. Thank you. ### 1/5 — Not user friendly *2026-03-14* I’ve been trying to order my groceries online for two weeks this new app isn’t user friendly at all! I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled in both my phones and it’s not working. I can’t order online. I go to the app I put order online. It gives me a code. I punched the code in and it takes me right back to order online and start all over again and I’ve done it so many times it’s frustrating. I am a regular shopper at thrifty’s, and I’ve been ordering online for years and I can’t even put an order in you can’t I tried to order? I finally found the shopping cart but then I can’t find a way to check out. It’s just impossible. This is terrible service. Thank you. ### 1/5 — Not an app *2026-03-07* This app is awful. It’s always required a switch to the website for checkout which is stupid and confusing and often wouldn’t work. But the new update of February 2026 didn’t even allow for checkout. The app just opens its own version of a browser for shopping. Some major issues are: - Overall glitchy and slow - Search bar returns completely unrelated results to item being searched for (example: I looked for sugar and it brings up yogurt) - The total price is no longer displayed in shopping lists. A lot of people make lists so they know how much they’re spending, especially with groceries being so expensive! - A lot of items do not have sample pictures next to the name. People need to be able to SEE what they are buying to ensure they are buying the product they want. At this point i can’t even stay logged in. Unfortunately when I’m in the store, the app opens and I’m not logged in, and logging in is apparently impossible: just spinning screens, or nothing happens. Yet when I’m back at home, the app knows who I am. Totally sucks. The new app (Feb 23) is a major downgrade, used to be able to create custom shopping lists and see prices, they removed the best part of the app, makes no sense. I called Scene and was told to register via the website. The Scene verification worked on the website.
