And due to this I am answering the same question EVERY 4-6weeks, "why are we seeing dog 1?" Followed by the second question "why are we seeing dog 2?" Followed by the third question, "so you only need to see the tech?" To summarize, if all regular visit reasons were listed this would be a 5 star app. ### 1/5 — App is garbage *2024-11-27, version 3.0.6* I’ve been trying for several days to setup an account. When I put in my email address the app says a code will be sent to me. I don’t receive that code for hours, some cases days. And by that point I have to request a new code. I can’t give this app a good rating if I’m never able to use it because they don’t send the verification code timely. ### 1/5 — Account keeps getting deleted *2024-11-01, version 3.0.3* My account keeps being deleted from the app and support never replied to my emails. ### 2/5 — Where’s the vax schedule go *2024-10-16, version 3.0.3* The app used to have the vaccination schedule, which was quite helpful. The schedule is no longer in the app, just a list of past appointments with generic descriptions. Far less useful. The app used to be perfect, but it no longer allows for you to log in. It used to be tied to my phone number, but now it does not recognize that. I get my bill receipts in my email but it says I do not have an account with my email. No support options because I can’t log in!!!! Go back to the old app, it at least worked!!!! My local vet is awesome, but now I can only make appointments by calling in!!!! I keep getting an error message saying “something went wrong”. I think I’ve signed up about 5x now. Really frustrating as I have 3 pets on the membership and I’m concerned that I won’t be able to connect my app to that. ### 1/5 — Useless *2024-05-29, version 2.0.2* When installing the app, the first thig it wants to do is set your primary vet clinic. It doesn't have my local vet clinic available. I can log into the Thrive website, and it's available, but you can't even get started in this app until you've set your primary clinic. I'm not going to choose a different one just to get into the app, because it seems entirely possible that would then transfer everything in my already existing account to another clinic in another state, so that next time I visit or call my vet clinic, they'll act like they don't know who I am. As a side note, the thrive website account is also not great. I went there today to change my email address on the account, and you cannot do that. What modern system like this won't lety you change basic contact information? ### 1/5 — Broken code *2024-04-18, version 2.0.2* Alot of the app doesn’t work anymore. Even the website barely works. Great company but I don’t have trust in their app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Awful app *2026-08-28, version 3.19.0* The app never works. It never saves my preferred clinic (I’ve set it about 20+ times now), and doesnt save the photos correctly in the issue tracker. It either shows one of the multiple uploaded or none. When I submit tech issues through the contact us form, no one ever does anything about it and I hear from no one. Also, you can’t change your email address on the account which is truly wild. I wish the app worked as there are great ideas/features but it’s always a total bummer using the app because of these glitches/problems that are never resolved. ### 1/5 — App is not efficient *2026-03-02, version 3.9.0* Cannot set pets specialists as preferred clinic. Booking an appointment or filling a prescription is impossible. Whoever entered my pet’s name during the migration from the old app MISSPELLED the name, and now there is no way for me or the team at the vet’s office to fix it. The contact form appears to work, but it has been 3 or 4 weeks with no reply. So who knows! The whole thing is absurd, and after paying for ThrivePlus for two years with nearly zero return on that investment, I am finding a new vet. This cannot be the only “affordable” game in town. ### 1/5 — Unable to Establish Account *2025-04-14, version 3.2.2* Trying to set up a new account and wants you to verify with a code sent to your email but by the time it comes across(almost 2 hours later) your session expires and the code won’t work. They are kind, knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly. In the very sad event of a pet loss, they can also connect clients with a pet cremation service. Dr. Doucet is wonderful. She’s so sweet and really cares for the pets. She understands that our pets are our family members, too. The prices are very reasonable and I am so glad that the clinic is conveniently located right here in our neighborhood. ### 5/5 — Outstanding Empathy During Pandemic Shutdown *2022-02-15* We started at the Thrive location on 1960. Very happy with experiences at that location. After we relocated, have been going to the Thrive on Ella Blvd in Oak Forest. Kind caring staff at both locations. Empathy shown at both wellness / vaccine appointments and at sick patient visits. The two vets at the Oak Forest location, one male & one female, both brunettes ( names escape me ) are attentive and take time to address my concerns. At check out the receptionist is patient and answers questions. We are on the low cost monthly maintenance plan. It’s worth every dime. Our rescue dog is now a senior citizen. The plan has been a true blessing. Saves $$$$ on dental cleanings in addition to the exams. Not every experience at any place is 100% pleasant. At the Oak Forest site, in April 2020, when the pandemic first started, there were some bumps during a sick dog appointment. The office staff receptionist was following their protocol. However, it was not what I believed was in the best interest for my dog due to his rapid onset illness. Yes, the Receptionest and I went toe to toe while on the phone. Again this was at the beginning of the pandemic shutdown and we were all scared. The thought of losing my beloved rescue dog was unbearable. He was in acute pain and needed help. The vet was informed about the situation. He found a workable solution which followed the protocol and also relieved my fears. Considering the circumstances at that point in time I was 100% happy that the Thrive vet did not dismiss my dog’s acute distress nor my anxiety.
