### 5/5 — Useful app and amazing developer!

*2018-09-05, version 0.9.0*

This app is great for helping you remember people you meet, which is awesome for people like me who have trouble with names. The developer is very responsive to feedback and updates often. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Perfect for remembering names

*2018-05-20, version 0.6.2*

Especially great when meeting people at church or the gym where I want to remember someone’s name but see them maybe only a few times a month. Works great for remembering things about people I see all the time too!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Uninstalled after being asked to subscribe

*2022-02-13, version 4.0.8*

I literally uninstalled this app and won’t ever look back after realizing there is limitations to the app.

Fair.

Make me buy the app for a few bucks.

Why oh why am I asked to pay for a subscription to deal with the limitations of ‘how many tags I can use’.

If the app is using iCloud, (which it should be) then I have all the storage I need.

Horrible business model.

### 1/5 — Great app, horrible licensing model

*2021-11-20, version 3.2.2*

I love this app, but to ask for a MONTHLY subscription instead of a one-time purchase is truly mind-boggling and outright greedy. There aren’t enough features for this to justify a monthly rate. Charge a one-time cost for God’s sake.

### 1/5 — Everything I want in an app...in my dreams

*2019-07-04, version 0.10.1*

This is the app I’ve been dying to use. I have two small kids and meet new parents every week, 99% of whom I forget five seconds later. I NEED THIS APP.... Unfortunately, it’s impossible to use. When you try to sign up with an e-mail, it sends you a link to verify....that only takes you to the Oakwood Software Consulting Company website that just includes a link to download the app (which I’ve already done). So while the app is literally unusable, it is a good idea.

*Update. I e-mailed the developer for help in June of 2019, but never received a response.

### 1/5 — Is my data safe?

*2018-12-15*

Although there is the option not to sign up for an account, you need to if you want to save your data.

This means they have my email address and the details of people I know. If I took the option to sign up using Facebook, would they be mining my personal information, along with that of my friends?

I found their Terms and Conditions and am concerned with the following clause: “Any given information concerning the Client and their respective Client Records may be passed to third parties. However, Client records are regarded as confidential and therefore will not be divulged to any third party, other than if legally required to do so to the appropriate authorities, or per deals stemming from the usage of the product.”

“or per deals stemming from the usage of the product!!” What, specifically, does this mean?

Please give the option to sync data with Dropbox, or Apple’s own cloud services. Or, the option to not sync the data, but to be able to export it if needed.

Charge for the app if you have to. Otherwise I just can’t trust what might happen to my information.

Hopefully the developer can add the above options, as this does look like a very useful app.

### 3/5 — Great app but missing important feature

*2022-11-13, version 4.1.2*

To truly set this app apart I would suggest being able to link notes to other entries. That way if I put something like “knows Christina” then I click the note and it takes me to Christina. Hopefully it can be implemented that’s the only thing keeping me find a sub at this point. Thanks!

### 3/5 — Intuitive but...

*2019-07-25, version 0.11.0*

The app itself is pretty intuitive and easy to use. Syncing (using email) to log in across two devices doesn’t seem to work. Just a heads up as if you invest time/effort into getting all your data in this app, when you upgrade your device you may very well have to start over or manually copy everything over. Seems like this is core functionality that’s missing.

### 3/5 — Does nothing, blank screen

*2018-06-16, version 0.7.1*

What’s the point?

UPDATE: I give the developer big props. I sent an email complaining about the problem and received an answer within several hours on Sunday. He then sent me another update several hours later saying he’d identify the problem and sent a new version to the Apple store. Finally, the next day, he sent yet another update telling me the new version have been uploaded. Incredible service! I did download the app dated version and I’m learning to use it now. There are a few things that I would probably do to enhance it, but I think the concept is really useful. Two thumbs up for amazing customer service!

### 3/5 — Falls short...

*2018-03-09, version 0.4*

Why can’t you search by label? The whole purpose of the app is you can’t remember the name... great that I can create custom labels to help group the people!

### 4/5 — Enjoying the app

*2019-09-28*

Just downloaded the app and really like it for remember people, events in history and books I have read, would be amazing if pictures could be added to help trigger the memory, would this feature be possible? 😀

### 5/5 — Has become an essential app for me

*2026-05-16, version 6.2.0*

Very easy to quickly jot down notes for people I meet. And super easy to quickly find the notes too since you can search not just by name but also by label and even the notes. Great for networking and remembering tidbits about people so that you can make stronger connections. I now have almost 700 names in the app with family, friends, various workplaces, and travels. I have found that selecting labels for new people can be a bit slow. But the developer is super responsive and helpful. It would be great if there was an export function for backup. Although this app is no longer free, $2.99/month is well worth it for the value it adds.

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Helpful to remember names!

*2022-03-09, version 4.0.8*

Helpful to remember names!

### 5/5 — It’s like a digital business card

*2021-12-06, version 3.2.3*

This app helps me remember people I have meet at a gathering or some big event and helps me collect people’s information like a digital business card all in one space so I don’t forget about people I just have meet when I leave.

### 5/5 — Naz

*2021-10-22, version 3.0.4*

I’m terrible with names so this is super helpful! I use this when booking new clients, playing poker with buddies, and pretty much every time I meet someone new. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2021-09-23, version 2.2.1*

This is a very well-designed app. Adding details is easy and fast, and the organization is efficient. I use it almost every day, and people are often touched when I remember the name of their cat or their kid’s athletic tryouts.

Though I’m giving an enthusiastic five-star review, I’m really hoping the developers add an export feature. My fear is that one day this app won’t be maintained and I’ll risk losing the information I’ve collected. It doesn’t need to be fancy—even just exporting the tags, tidbits, and notes to a csv file would be great.

Less crucially, I’d also love to be able to look at all entries for a tidbit across people. For example, I’d like to be able to record what difficulties people are going through (e.g. job stress, sick family, breakups) and then look at everyone’s difficulties at once so that I can think about whom I need to check in with.

This is already an excellent app, and though I’d love those features, I have no hesitation in recommending it!

### 5/5 — The best app for remembering names

*2021-07-28, version 1.3.1*

I’ve tried many different apps to remember the names of people I meet and this one has turned out to be the best one. I’ve been using it for several weeks now and love it. The interface is clean and simple. You can add a photo for each person. You can add labels to group people and it’s super easy to search by labels (can also filter multiple labels by using the search function). I love that you can add notes for each person and the notes are searchable as well. And you can add a reminder to follow up on notes! Amazing. You can also archive people so they don’t show up on your list. The best part of this app though is that it’s both free AND ad-free - a rarity in the app world now and it’s soo refreshing. Thanks developers!

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2021-02-20, version 0.11.1*

So useful for every day. It keeps information I need at my fingertips for easy access.

### 5/5 — A Must-Have App, Incredibly Useful!

*2021-02-18, version 0.11.1*

This app is so helpful and has completely relinquished one of my biggest fears: forgetting peoples’ names! It is a great resource to quickly jot down key details upon meeting someone, and then it is conveniently available anytime I need a quick refresher. It even holds me accountable and motivates me to keep rehearsing consistently so that I can be more confident with names and other important personal details!

Also, I love that it is basically a one stop app for all the things I need to keep track of throughout the week, including to-dos, grocery reminders, podcast takeaways, prayer requests, journal notes, you name it!

Overall highly recommend and it is one of the few apps worth the storage space. You won’t be disappointed!

### 5/5 — I needed this

*2019-06-20, version 0.10.1*

This is a great app because I meet new people often. I especially like the reminder to add new people.

### 5/5 — Helpful and practical

*2018-09-14, version 0.10.1*

I used to either forget people’s names or try to jot them down on a piece of paper that I would eventually loose. Tibbits is a super practical way to keep track of people you meet and remember things about them (especially when it’s someone you only see once in a while). Love it!
