Or sometimes it increases by 20 points? It would be a great addition to add some info in the online help section. Thanks ### 2/5 — New version - new bugs *2025-12-22, version 2.0.50* Ok. So the new AI has learned how to better play bombs. That’s making it more realistic. But I also just witnessed a MAJOR bug. AI opponent played a pair of 6s. I overplayed a Jack and the phoenix, opponent overplayed THREE QUEENS?? That cleared them of a bare Q liability. Needs debugging. ### 2/5 — This is a major downgrade *2025-12-04, version 2.0.47* Rarely do I call out something this awful. This new overhaul of the game has literally downgraded itself to a C grade high school project (Update) I really tried to like this new version but this really feel like someone dropped the ball and didn’t do proper UI/UX homework. I lost my interest in this app. Should at least make the old UI a ‘classic’ theme people can choose to play with ### 3/5 — Meh *2025-11-30, version 2.0.45* UI needs help. The line of text across the cards is annoying. Could move cards above the text. All stats from previous version are gone. Play is okay. Game play is okay doesn’t feel improved. ### 1/5 — Unfassbar schlecht geworden *2025-11-23* Sorry, aber was da als Modernisierung verkauft wird spottet jeder Beschreibung. Nicht nur die Optik ist grottenschlecht und alles andere als modern, auch die Einstellungen und Bedienelemente sind verschlechtert. Die ständig aufploppenden Texte nerven nur. Und das ich gezwungen werde, mich grundsätzlich online anzumelden ist ein No-Go. Schön, dass die KI das Beschummeln angeblich unterbinden kann. Online sicher interessant, aber dann nimmt man im selben Raum eben zwei Teilnehmer. Wer so etwas braucht, findet immer Wege. Für mich als off-line-Spieler uninteressant. Schade, dieses Tichu war die letzten Jahre ein wunderbarer Zeitvertreib. Die “Verbesserungen” haben es mir vergällt. While the new version may have significant improvements in the AI, the interface changes are a significant detriment on smaller devices like phones—it makes viewing a selecting a card to play tricky. Easy to navigate your own interface and play, and the AIs bots are ok. You CANNOT play this game multiplayer. It just does not work. You cannot do a LOCAL game, nor can you do an online game. It does not work, and has not for a very long time. Sad. ### 3/5 — No longer works *2025-08-04, version 1.10.0* Had this game for many years and really enjoyed it, but now it no longer works. Multiple times I’ve called Tichu and the AI plays high high cards over me so many times I will lose th Tichu bid only because of my partner. The last game the AI had two cards left— an Ace and a two. It played the ace. Why? The AI partner doesn’t even hav enough sense to let their partner win Tichu. Often the competitor AIs seem to play as if they are cheating (and that when I’m not playing with the best skill level). Very frustrating ### 1/5 — Long-Awaited Update Breaks Core Gameplay *2026-01-13, version 2.0.51* After a 9-year wait for updates, this 2025 release is deeply disappointing. Game sessions expire every time the app is closed — when you exit and reopen, the active game is completely gone. The app also repeatedly asks to add a username, even when one was already set. Offline play, which used to work in previous versions, is no longer possible at all. On top of that, the app is unstable: frequent crashes, unresponsive buttons, and basic navigation issues make it frustrating to use. Last week I opened and played as normal. Last night I opened it and it looks totally different, my names I had for the 3 “computer players” have changed as well as all my settings and I can’t change them back. Also, the cards are so small I can’t clearly see the numbers. I have played thousands of hours on the old version of the app with the only issue being that Bluetooth multiplayer stopped working a couple of years ago. I played this app Almost daily. However the new version has made me abandon this app completely. The UI is significantly worse and less practical for the player, has has glitches more than the old version ever did. Also all my years of statistics were wiped.
