## What is TickerKey?

Type $NVDA in Messages, Notes, Mail, or anywhere else you type, and the live price appears right on your keyboard. Tap it to see the chart, the news, and an AI read on the stock, without leaving the conversation.

Your messages stay on your phone. TickerKey only sends the ticker you look up or a question you ask it.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.4.1 — 2026-10-22

1. Pro scanners. In Screens, tap Custom KeyGent [Premium users] and select a candle at the top, from 15 minutes to monthly. Open Timing on a condition to check it over the last few bars, a few bars back, or against an earlier bar.

2. Alerts. Run any scan, tap Save under the results, then tap the bell icon on it in My Screens. You get a notification when new stocks start matching at the close.

3. Saved screens remember everything. A screen saved with Any (OR), a timeframe, or your own tickers runs the same way when you open it again.

### 3.4 — 2026-10-13

Market wrap
After Friday's close, a short podcast of the week appears on the Today tab. Prefer one every day? Choose Daily in Settings.

Log trades the way you buy
Enter a dollar amount instead of a share count, like $1,000 of NVDA, and TickerKey logs the part of a share it buys. Holdings, the keyboard, and your share cards all show fractional positions, and Sell all closes one out exactly. Log Trade now reads like a broker's order ticket: your total shows before you log, and if something is missing, it says what.

Meet your analyst
Chat has a new analyst who is thinking hard to answer you. Under each answer, you can copy it, share it, or tell us whether it helped.

A new look
TickerKey is now sapphire blue, and every screen and keyboard theme was checked to keep text easy to read in both light and dark modes. Watchlist, Holdings, and Chat share a cleaner design. Figures stay on one line, and the tab bar folds away while you scroll.

KeyGents you can flip through
KeyGents now sit in a wallet you can thumb through, and each screen displays a small chart of the pattern it looks for.

Stats you can trust
Win rate now counts only real buy and sell calls. The Holdings chart is redrawn, and the milestone cards you share reflect your actual record.

Also in this release
- Notifications arrive quietly from the start, and you choose later whether to allow banners and sounds.
- Today opens on the overnight world markets read, and your own trades appear in the feed.
- Tapping the heart under a story now likes that story, and never changes your watchlist.
- Swipe typing no longer blanks its suggestion bar, and ranks the words it nearly chose.
- Money always shows as $, on every phone.

### 3.3 — 2026-09-10

World markets

A new card in your Today feed shows how markets around the world are doing. It is captured each morning and held for the rest of the day, so it reads like a morning paper rather than a ticker. Tap a region name, or tap the map itself, to move between the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Any row carrying a previous session's number says so on the row, so you are never comparing two different days without knowing it.

Chat that reads like a research note

Answers now break into paragraphs, with headings and bullet points on longer ones. The text is larger with more space between the lines, and figures line up in columns. Your own messages sit on a darker blue that holds up much better in Dark theme.

Swipe typing that offers a fix

Swipe typing has always struggled with double letters, because the gesture for "hello" and "helo" is almost the same. When it picks the wrong word, the keyboard now shows the other words it considered. Tap one to swap it in.

Also in this release

- Tap the 'Today' tab while scrolled down, and it jumps back to the top.
- Every news story carries a tag for whether it reads positive, negative, or neutral.

### 3.2 — 2026-08-27

A full redesign and a new way to share what you find.

The new look. Every tab has been reworked for cleaner spacing, clearer
hierarchy, and stronger contrast, in both Light and Dark. The navigation bar is
now a frosted glass capsule that lets your content show through.

Today is one feed. Your watchlist, your trades, and the market news now flow
together, newest first. Each story reads as a post - tap the star to follow a
ticker, the target to run the analysis, the bookmark to keep it.

Share a story as a card. Sharing now builds a TickerKey card: the company's
logo and colours, a live chart, the day's open, high and low, and a one-line
read on what it means. It goes out as an image with the link, so the story
stays credited, and the card speaks for itself.

Saved stories. Bookmark anything worth returning to. Saved stories also appear
on that ticker's own page, so the reading you did last week is waiting when you
need it.

Fixed
- Headlines no longer repeat the publisher's name or show stray characters
- News cards fit the screen properly on every device
- Chart percentages follow the time range you picked, not just today
- Suggestion pills on the keyboard are no longer clipped in Light mode
- Buttons and links on sheets are readable again in Light mode

TickerKey now also tells you when a new version is out. iOS only updates apps
on its own over Wi-Fi with automatic updates on, and a keyboard you type into
every day shouldn't quietly fall months behind.

### 3.1 — 2026-08-19

A cleaner, clearer app.

Guided tour
New to TickerKey? A short tour now points out each part of the app on your first run. You can replay it any time from Settings, About, Take the App Tour.

A brighter, clearer design
Cards now sit clearly above the page, the boxes you type into are easy to find in light mode, corners and colours are consistent across every screen, and the tab bar floats over your content.

Holdings, sector bars now match their numbers
In Portfolio by Sector, each bar now matches the percentage printed beside it, so a holding at 33 percent fills about a third of the width.

Fixes
Watchlist logos no longer disappear after a burst of lookups. The TickerKey name on the first launch screen is fully readable again.
