## What is TicketSquad?

Getting tickets for a big festival or gig is a team sport. Someone has to
remember the on-sale date, everyone needs their registration details ready,
and when you get through the queue you have about ninety seconds to get
it right.

TicketSquad is where your group gets organised before that moment.

PLAN TOGETHER
Create an event, invite your friends, and see at a glance who's in, who's
still deciding, and who hasn't sent their details yet.

SPLIT INTO BUYING GROUPS
Most sales cap how many tickets one person can buy. Break your squad into
groups that match the limit, so nobody is left out by accident.

EVERYONE'S DETAILS, IN ONE PLACE
Registration numbers, booking references, whatever the sale needs - collected
ahead of time and ready when the queue opens. You decide what the group can
see and what stays private.

KNOW WHEN IT MATTERS
We track on-sale dates for hundreds of festivals and gigs, so you don't have
to. Get a reminder before, and an alert the moment the sale starts.

AFTER THE SALE
Record who got what, sort out who's covering whom, and keep everyone in the
loop without a fifty-message group chat.

TicketSquad works alongside ticket sellers - we don't sell tickets, and we
never ask for your payment details.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-10-14

Sale day on your lock screen
Open Sale day in the six hours before a sale and TicketSquad appears on your lock screen and, on newer iPhones, in the Dynamic Island. It counts down to the sale, then shows whether your group has got tickets and how many groups have, and keeps up while you're in the queue with the app closed. It never shows anyone's name.

Also new
• Live updates from the TicketSquad team at the top of Sale day during big sales
• Got tickets? Share a card that says you're going, from the celebration or later from your event's Brief
• Start a squad from events going on sale soon, with the details filled in, then invite your group straight from the top of your new squad
• One screen to sign in or join, with the option you used last time marked
• Set times on the event guide in the days before a gig
• A heads-up if your Glastonbury registration number looks wrong, plus a link to look it up on the official site
• Squads for events we don't list can now have a venue
• Your event's dates, sales included, now lead the Brief in one list
• Coordinators can remove helpers from the squad
Fixes
• Event dates always show the venue's local day
• Once you have your ticket, nothing on My data is marked as required
• Sale day and the Tickets board load first time after you sign in
• Links in coordinator messages and community news open in Safari, so you can see the full address
• Whole rows respond to a tap, which helps most on iPad

### 1.5 — 2026-09-29

Tap a member to see what their badges mean. The member sheet now opens with a short guide to every badge they carry: their role, Buying or Helping, their tier, an unverified email, and their details or ticket.
A tidier roster. Each member fits on one line on a phone, with their name on the left and their badges lined up on the right, and the badges look the same as on the website.
"I got tickets" shows before the sale starts. Your group's button appears on the Sale day tab, greyed out, and turns on by itself when the sale opens. The tab also explains what it will do for you on the morning.
Sale day status dots. Green means someone has been on Sale day in the last ten minutes, and amber means earlier today. Anyone not seen today has no dot.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-22

Sale plans are here.

Some events have more than one sale: a coach package sale before the general sale, or a resale round once the first one is over. Sale plans let your squad run all of them inside one event, each with its own buying groups and its own date, without setting up a second event or asking anyone to join twice.

Coordinators can turn sale plans on from an event's Settings, then add plans, start one as a copy of another, and choose which sale each plan is for and who is buying in it.

The Groups screen now has a picker at the top, so you can see which sale you're looking at, which one is running, and when each one is, or that it's Date TBC. Any group changes you make land on the sale you picked. Coordinators can see what each person is doing in that sale, spot anyone whose place needs a review, and share waiting helpers out across the groups with Auto distribute.

On sale day, the app names the sale it's showing, opens the right sale straight from a notification, and keeps its offline copies separately for each sale, so a coach sale and a general sale never get mixed up on your phone.

Sale plans are switched on event by event. If your event doesn't use them, everything works exactly as before.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-17

A steadier sale-day screen that keeps up with the sale and tells you what is going on.

• The report button turns up the moment the sale opens. No more pulling down to refresh.
• When the group to buy for next changes, the app says which group just got tickets and who to try next. If you had already started on that group, it asks before swapping.
• Everyone can see how many groups have tickets, your own group sits at the top until it has them, and the celebration shows on sale day too.
• "The purchase fell through" works for any group the website offers it on.
• While the sale is still running, a purchase that falls through puts the group back in the mix, and the app says so. The resale round starts once your organiser says the sale is over.
• If a screen is taking too long, you get a Try again button, and a note at the top if what you see might be out of date.
• Clearer messages when lots of people are reporting or joining at once, and the app will not undo a result somebody else has just recorded.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-12

Sale day is rebuilt around a single screen.

• Everyone's checkout details now sit on the sale-day screen itself, with the group you should buy for next right at the top. No more jumping between screens while the queue is moving.

• "I got tickets" now asks who you got them for in the same tap. Everyone is ticked to begin with, so just untick anyone who missed out. Recording this was previously only possible on the website.

• Report from the app and your group hears about it. A report made on your phone used to reach nobody by email.

• If a purchase falls through later, you can now say so from that group's own card.

• Missing out is no longer something you report. Your coordinator closes the sale once when it is genuinely over, and everyone still without a ticket moves into the next round together.

• A new Notifications tab keeps everything you have been told, newest first, with a count on the tab when something is waiting. Read it here or on the website and it clears in both.

• If you organise for a squad, you can now chase people from the app: remind anyone still missing their details, nudge a group that has not reported back, and regroup the people who missed out.

• The downloadable sale-day board is now clearly a backup, for if the site is ever unavailable. The live board is where the current details are, and it is the only place that shows which group still needs help.

Plus a number of smaller fixes, including notifications that open in the app rather than a browser.
