### 1/5 — Keeps measuring for 10-15 mins

*2026-08-05, version 1.5.1*

Tried 5 times, it just keep measuring but not finishing and giving out a result. They ask $40 for a year or 9$ a month .not worth it

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work most of the time

*2026-08-02, version 1.5.1*

I’ve been getting server error messages every day for a week or so. Unfortunately I paid to subscribe for a year.

### 5/5 — Amazing community of watch nerds, like me!

*2026-08-02, version 1.5.1*

I got this app to test the movement accuracy of my automatic mechanical watches. Little did I know I’d stick around for the sharing and commenting of daily wrist checks. They keep rolling out new updates and improvements but best of all it’s where watch nerds can unite!

### 1/5 — Great app, if you don’t need it to actually work

*2026-07-19, version 1.5.1*

TickIQ’s one job — taking readings from watches, is the exact thing it can no longer do. Everything else? Sure. The actual function I subscribed for? Gone. It just sits there now, a beautiful icon that opens to disappointment.

And before anyone from support chimes in with the copy-paste checklist: yes, I deleted the app. Yes, I redownloaded it. Yes, I restarted my phone. I did the entire IT exorcism ritual. None of it worked, because the problem isn’t on my end, it’s that you haven’t pushed an update in over a month while iOS has moved on without you.

That’s really the whole story here. The iPhone updated. You didn’t. And now paying customers are left with a subscription to a glorified paperweight.

Update the app or stop charging for it. Pick one.

### 1/5 — Junk

*2026-07-17, version 1.5.1*

Junk quality for $9/mo, just buy a timegrapher

### 5/5 — Nice tool

*2026-07-13, version 1.5.1*

Just needs a quiet room but it seems pretty accurate

### 1/5 — Overpriced and inaccurate

*2026-07-11, version 1.5.1*

Typical misleading app that will advertise as free until you download and purchase then you have to keep upgrading and paying more more to unlock features. Pass

### 5/5 — Great way to share your love of horology.

*2026-07-09, version 1.5.1*

Nice app for curating your watch collection and sharing with others.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-09, version 1.5.1*

I have used this for several months and being somewhat of a stickler for accurate time this app is indispensable. It is elegant and extremely functional. I have 5 high end watches, all Swiss made and it helps me measure their accuracy and overall performance and health. So, if you own a Rolex or other fine watches, you need this app. Highly recommended.

### 1/5 — Waste of money/ time HAHA

*2026-07-08, version 1.5.1*

If you actually want to read the accuracy of a watch don’t base it on this fake app. $40 a year for this garbage is insane also.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-03-16

This one's been a long time coming.

When we first built tickIQ, it was a timegrapher. Then it became a community. And somewhere along the way, we started asking ourselves a bigger question: what if we could build the best place to discover and learn about watches?

That question led us to build a proprietary watch database from scratch. Every time a new reference is added to tickIQ, it's automatically researched — specs, heritage, pricing, and what it's like to wear. It grows with the community, and it quietly powers everything new in this release.

■ Watch Profiles:
Tap any watch name in the feed and you'll land on its Watch Profile — a dedicated page for that specific reference. Specs, brand heritage, real wrist shots from other owners, similar references worth exploring. The kind of research you'd normally piece together across forums, blogs, and dealer listings, all in one place — from enthusiasts just like you.

■ Grails:
Every collector has a list. The watches you're saving for, reading about, or just quietly obsessing over. We wanted a place to keep that list alive. Tap the bookmark icon on any post in the Community to save that watch as a grail. You'll find all of your grails on the new Grails tab. Your grails also show up on your profile, so you and other members can see what everyone's chasing (always configurable with privacy settings).

■ Your Daily Grail:
This one's personal. Each morning, tickIQ writes a fresh editorial about one of your grail watches, pulling from your collection, your grails, real community wrist shots, and our watch database. We wanted something waiting for you when you open the app each morning. A reason to slow down and spend a minute with a watch you love.

This is the foundation for everything we're building next, and we have a lot planned.

One more thing: we also completely reimagined the Activity Center. We've always been captivated by the artistry of moonphase complications — the way watchmakers turn a simple astronomical function into something you can't stop staring at. We wanted to bring that same feeling to tickIQ. The Activity Center now features a dynamic sky that follows the real time of day in your timezone, from sunrise gradients to golden hour to a star-filled night, topped by an astronomically accurate moon phase. It was a lot of work for something that's technically cosmetic, but we believe the details matter.

### 1.4.9 — 2026-02-09

This release addresses some of our top user feedback — we’ve added collection organization and search, new and improved AI portrait generation with the ability to create new portraits for your existing watches, and an updated measurement experience.

■ Collection Organization:
Quickly find and organize the watches in your collection. On the first tab, tap the button in the top-left to see your full collection. From there, search for a specific watch by brand or name, or sort your collection in five ways: Date Added, A–Z, Most Worn, Last Measured, or Custom. With Custom ordering, drag and drop your watches into any arrangement you like — put your daily wearers at the top or arrange by complication. Your sort preferences are saved, so each time you open the app your collection is right where you left it.

■ New & Improved Watch Portraits:
We’ve upgraded our portrait generation with greater attention to detail — your watch’s unique features, dial text, and hand colors are now rendered with greater accuracy. And now, you can create entirely new portraits tailored to your vision. On the first tab, scroll to any watch, tap the arrow next to the watch’s name, and tap the edit button on the existing portrait image. Describe the look you’re going for and upload close-up photos of your watch’s details to guide the AI. Try a golden sunset in the background, a fresh powder day on a mountain peak, your dive watch resting on the ocean floor, or anything else you can imagine — we want to see your creativity shine. To switch between portraits, tap the edit button again, tap “Choose Portrait,” and pick from your collection of generated looks. This feature is currently in beta — subscribers get a set number of free generations each month while we continue to refine the experience.

■ Updated Measurement Flow:
We fixed a bug where tickIQ could select the wrong watch during a measurement. Additionally, you’ll now see a thumbnail of the selected watch alongside its name, and a new watch picker makes it easier to find and select the right watch before or after measuring.

Stay tuned for more coming soon. As always, let us know what you think! Reach us anytime at hi@b23.ai
