Nothing just bringing these concerns i hope the rising of the prices will show in the quality of the product as im invested in the app and listening to music on here as long as these issues get addressed ### 4/5 — Mostly good *2026-08-31, version 2.213.0* I have had tidal for a little under a year now (switched from Spotify). Sound quality is nice, and the UI is pretty decent. It does however bother me that you can’t really search “vibes” or unofficial playlists like you can on Spotify. Also the sudden $2 price increase for premium is just… annoying. ### 2/5 — Freezes, Shuffle Not Random *2026-08-30, version 2.213.0* Freezes up at least four times in 3 miles of walking and streaming video. Upon stopping and running a speed test, it ranges from 30 to 600 mbps per second. Shuffle is 30% random at best. This is both the Android and Apple version. Strictly for the Apple app, you can only turn the phone horizontally one way to stream. The other way is upside down. ### 2/5 — Buggy, glitchy, downloads videos on phone in the background *2026-08-29, version 2.213.0* I *want* to like Tidal bc it’s (slightly I guess) less evil than Spotify, but the functionality of the app SUCKS relentlessly - I keep updating it and it doesn’t get better. It downloads mp4s on my phone and takes up all my space on my phone and I have to uninstall and reinstall the app. The desktop app is glitchy and crashes a lot too. Just like, why does it suck so baaaaad??? 😫 ### 3/5 — tidal isn't bad *2026-08-29, version 2.213.0* I like tidal and their ideals but the shuffle and playback function and be weird. often it shuffles stuff in the same order and if i pause the shuffle to do something else it will revert back a few songs and play me the same order. it would be better if i could just resume listening without going back ### 2/5 — Pretty great *2026-08-28, version 2.213.0* Overall really great, but Tidal NEEDS cross fade. Also, I notice a glitch where if I close the app, or come back to it after a while, my shuffle mix starts from the first track rather than picking up where I left off. It’s rather annoying when you want your playlist to fully cycle through w/o repeat songs. Edit: they increased their subscription and now they won’t process my cancellation. Shady. ### 2/5 — App is frustrating *2026-08-28, version 2.212.0* Gave this a good 6 month run and can’t keep using this app Playback issues with connectivity problems keep the app from being functional unless you’re on a strong cell signal or WiFi. The app literally will not work in low signal areas. Even when playing my downloaded playlist, the app itself is non-responsive. I’ve had it since 2016 and every time they do updates, the app is trash for months ### 3/5 — Developers Please Help *2026-08-26, version 2.212.0* The notifications the app has at the bottom when you save something need to be adjusted. They cover up all the buttons for a decently long time. Please move the banner somewhere else or make it avoid buttons. Additionally, the processing for saving songs to a playlist is so obtuse. There was a way to quickly add to a playlist with an add to playlist button. Where did it go? Having to open a side menu from the main playing page with album art takes too many clicks. I like to add to multiple playlists and the banner pop up then interferes as well with getting into the side menu. Tidal can’t even verify my age no matter how many times I submit verification. No more.
