### 4/5 — Stuck on Apple Watch

*2026-03-28, version 3.2.3*

I want desperately to give this a five star rating. It works flawlessly on iOS. It also works well enough on the Mac. Unfortunately, it does not work at all on the Apple Watch, even though it would seem like it should. It gets stuck when trying to allow location access. I live in the oldest Seaport in America. Gloucester, Massachusetts. Home of the perfect storm. Is a vital interest that something like this work.

### 5/5 — Cool

*2026-01-07, version 3.2.2*

So far it works great

### 5/5 — Accurate

*2025-12-03, version 3.2.2*

Very helpful showing times of tide rising and the depth at each tide makes my planning of each trip much easier. Thank you

### 2/5 — Good App but Eventually Requires Payment

*2025-11-19, version 3.2.2*

I used the app and widget for months before it seemingly out of nowhere put up a paywall asking for payment. Paying for to continue using the app wasn’t worth it for me because (1) it presents free information sourced from NOAA and (2) there are comparable apps for free on the App Store.

### 5/5 — Important update

*2025-11-06, version 3.2.2*

It’s honestly very nice to know the tides and the moon phases to know when I should go catch lobsters and fish. This is quite useful to me.

### 5/5 — Tide Chart

*2025-10-31, version 3.2.2*

Easy

### 4/5 — Decent

*2025-09-24, version 3.2.2*

The app is decent and has what I need.

### 5/5 — Useful, esp offline

*2025-09-14, version 3.2.1*

easy to understand, easy to use. Like the offline usability. Use it when traveling PINS (Padre Island Nat’l Seashore) out of cellphone range, to time my drive down the beach during low tides to make for easy driving.

### 5/5 — Indispensable

*2025-09-02, version 3.2.1*

My family and I recently moved to a coastal area so could spend more time at the beach. We use this app regularly for planning our activities.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-08-25, version 3.2*

I love this app and use it all the time, however if I had to think of one thing the app and its users would benefit from. It would be the flag warning. ( green, yellow, red, purple) and any others. I think this feature would be greatly beneficial for all. Again love this app, thanks for making it!

### 5/5 — UPDATING MY REVIEW RE: AQUATIC PARK. SAN FRANCISCO

*2025-08-04, version 3.2*

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONE WHOULD USE THE NEAREST REPORTING STATION—WHICH IS NOT FAR FROM AQUATIC PARK.

### 3/5 — Good where located

*2025-07-16, version 3.2*

This app apparently doesn’t show the full picture for Acquatic Park,San Francisco (where I swim). One must interpolate between the locations forecasts

### 2/5 — Not free

*2025-07-14, version 3.2*

This app is ok, but it’s not free. After a time they will request a significant payment or the app is useless. Why doesn’t the App Store flag that?

### 5/5 — elegant

*2025-07-09, version 3.2*

i often plan my days around the tides and this app has made that much easier. it’s also very pretty. good job!

### 5/5 — Know When To Go!

*2025-06-24, version 3.2*

Easiest and fastest way to know when to hit the beach!

### 5/5 — Good

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — They cut back on features on the free app

*2026-06-04, version 3.3.2*

The app is not letting me view the tidal waves and displays purchase options

### 1/5 — Ripoff

*2026-05-17, version 3.3.2*

$20 a year to have an app pull publicly available info is a scam.

### 1/5 — Not free

*2025-07-31, version 3.2*

Good until you have to pay

### 1/5 — App isnt working

*2025-07-27, version 3.2*

Just started today. App opens to a blank screen. Redownloaded it and still blank. Support website will not load either through app store

### 1/5 — Not worldwide

*2024-11-20, version 3.1*

This app only gives you a few options. Nothing for Europe, Australia or Africa.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate tidal charts

*2024-09-27, version 2.9.8*

Tidal charts are not accurate based on experience with the hurricane.

### 1/5 — Did the app break?

*2024-09-17, version 2.9.8*

I have been using this app for years now and all of a sudden it says all of the tide stations are unavailable except for the one it is currently set on which I chose last year while on vacation. This app is now irrelevant since I can’t change the location. Make it make sense. Oh right… money. Time to delete this app and find a new one I guess. Or whatever, just do an internet search for the current tide level where I am. We don’t really need apps for every single thing.

### 1/5 — My home island is spelled wrong!

*2024-09-08, version 2.9.8*

How hard can it be? Your label of “Peak Island” is overlaid on top of “Peaks Island”, my home. Everything else is spelled correctly. This is just pure sloppiness, not proofreading when the correct spelling is literally less than a half inch away. I’m undecided if I’ll keep the app or look for one that doesn’t make me cringe.

### 1/5 — Awesome app

*2024-08-04, version 2.9.6*

a Awesome

### 1/5 — Forced Purchase

*2024-07-17, version 2.9.6*

Stops working unless you pay.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Ease of use

*2026-08-19, version 3.3.2*

The sliding tide chart is so handy when it is crucial to know the exact tide height for any specific minute.

### 5/5 — Very functional and reliable

*2026-08-13, version 3.3.2*

Easy to use and is free!

### 5/5 — Great Tide Alert app

*2026-07-21, version 3.3.2*

Thanks for a great accurate , informative, and easy to read graphic design tide app. Always my go to for checking the latest tides for fishing and kayaking trips.

### 5/5 — Great informer!

*2026-07-03, version 3.3.2*

I had five tide apps and just pared them down to clean out apps. This one has the most information, displayed the cleanest. Really nice app. Came out in first place in my subjective poll of 1!

### 5/5 — Best tide app

*2026-07-03, version 3.3.2*

Used it today diving it was very accurate

### 5/5 — So useful and so beautiful — well done!!

*2026-06-27, version 3.3.2*

I absolutely love the visual representation of the tidal highs and lows plus sunrise and sunset. Moon phases as well! It’s just so very useful if you live near the ocean and are timing your day around making it to the beach. I am at the beach daily for a surf, dog walk, just lounging…knowing the moon phase a tide height helps me understand if I can squeeze in a visit at high tide or not…at sunrise etc. wind and wind direction would be pretty cool too if added. I use this daily and enjoy the immersive visual aspect of it..

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-05-26, version 3.3.2*

This is a great App. Tried several different ones and this is by far the best. Easy to use and cool to work.

### 5/5 — Best Tide App

*2026-04-20, version 3.3*

I’m a Fishing Guide so Tides rule my life. This is by far THE BEST Tide app that I have found. Very accurate and the visual depiction of the tide, rise and fall, and current place in the schedule are better then any app.

### 5/5 — Excelente

*2026-01-28, version 3.2.2*

Marea de exelencia

### 5/5 — I trust Tide Alert.

*2026-01-26, version 3.2.2*

X I trust Tide Alert because I test it daily and it’s accurate. They also adjust for daylight savings time. If you’re off by an hour that can be a big difference.
