It works only occasionally. There would appear to be no way to change to a 24 hour clock. From location to location the top tide listed for each location seems to be random. For instance, some locations along the Thames show the high tide as the top reading, then one will show low tide as the top reading. This might be overlooked if the graph showed 24 hours or if it showed preceding and following days. It does neither of these things. ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2012-07-17* I've never felt the need to write a review before but this app is useless. I have given them chance to sort it through numerous updates but nothing changes. If I had bought a product from a shop that was this bad I would return it. Is it possible to get a refund on an app? It takes an age to load up and when it does it more often than not crashes. They have added a BST button if you select that on it immediately shuts down the app. Total waste of money don't bother with it. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2013-04-07* This worked fine and accurately for a time but then got totally out of sync with the actual tide times and had to be resolved by downloading an update although it gave no indication that that was required. Also would have been helpful if (1) display showed date and (2) clear whether adjusted for GMT/BST. ### 3/5 — Updated review *2013-06-03* ok so I originally reviewed in what seems to have been part way through an update we now have day menu and more realistic tide times. It could still do with dates added and times physically placed on the graph also a slide of the finger to move the graph on would be a huge plus thus showing what's happening between tides otherwise its now basic but ok. ### 3/5 — Room for improvent *2012-06-02* Latest version BST has been added but slow to update which is a shame as nicely presented tide tables. Would like to see a longer forecast may be a month ahead to enable planing for a trip, bearing in mind tables are published a year in advance . Overall 3 stars but speed it up updating would give 4 stars and a longer forecast would give 5 stars. Keep it up ### 4/5 — Better value than a tide table *2013-07-05* At 69p this is far better value than a tide table. It would be great if there was a way to adjust the scale (or it was automatic) so that there is more detail on somewhere with only a small tidal range. ### 4/5 — It's a good app *2013-01-31* It's a good app, it does what it says on the tin. Just one word "landscape", it doesn't like running in landscape mode. It needs to move things around a bit when using your iDevice in landscape mode, or either lock it into a portrait only app. Apart from that, I'd highly recommend it and give it the 5th star. ### 4/5 — Tide app *2012-08-16* Could do with a map of where the locations are and perhaps a location service which allows the app to find the nearest tide to where you are but otherwise an excellent app. ### 4/5 — Thanks *2011-11-19* This app is really useful for me and my family. I did have few problems at first and emailed the developer about it who was helpful and resolved problem quickly, now since update app works fine now! Many thanks!! ### 4/5 — It's improving. *2011-09-03* Not a bad app at all. I live next to the coast and take photos for Google Earth. So rather than the steep walk down the cliffs to see if conditions are right, I check the tide times. It was inaccurate when I first downloaded. But seems to be getting reliable, now. Keep the updates coming, and make this a brilliant app. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Perfect for timing my sea swim *2016-12-18* I've started cold water swimming for anxiety and this intuitive app helps me schedule my day. If I go at high tide I get dashed on the rocks. If I go at low, I flounder like a paralysed seal and run the risk of a rip current that lurks beyond the low tide line. This app keeps me sane and alive. It tells me the tide times fast where ever I am. Charts tide heights at many UK ports, the visual representation of ebb and flow instead of simply high/low times is useful for calculating e.g peak flow times. ### 5/5 — Great app *2014-08-22* Great app, tide times for my location on the north Kent Coast always seem spot on and the layout is very intuitive. My only criticism is that since the last update, some of the colours on the display make bits of it hard to read, the days in particular. It would be nice if the colours were configurable, or at least chosen to provide a better contrast. ### 5/5 — Great app *2014-03-16* As the captain of a ferry I have a in-depth understanding of tides in the Solent, after reading some of the bad revues of this app I have checked the data against admiralty website, easy tide, if any one thinks that 2ports just a few miles apart should have nearly the same hight tide just check out the difference between Stansore point and Cows just 2miles apart and a 10 min difference yet Southampton and Cows that are 10 miles apart and 1min difference, regional variations can make a vast difference to tide times, this is a great app if you won't to check tide times, although this app is no substitute for a good tide chart and the knowledge to use it ### 5/5 — Useful *2012-04-18* I haven't had problems with this and find it extremely useful. Now it looks nicer and the data seems much more accurate. I emailed the developer about issues with the old version and he was very helpful so thank you very much!
