## What is Tidepool Tactics?

Tidepool Tactics is a single-player card puzzle adventure set across 30 handcrafted tidepool levels.

Chart a route through six coastal bays, from Coral Reach and Driftwood Point to Glass Reef, Moonlit Inlet, Stormglass Bay, and Lantern Shoal. Each level combines a clear objective with changing water rules, equipment, and one of eight tidepool guardians.

Plan every route around three distinct challenge styles:
- Current Flow: build a continuous path and keep the sequence intact.
- Tide Risk: reach the safe threshold without pushing the current into overflow.
- Shell Set: assemble the exact card pattern requested by the tide.

Each bay adds its own bonus suit and hazards, while equipment such as the Glass Lens, Drift Compass, Storm Buoy, and Moon Dial gives you new ways to solve familiar cards. Guardians including Captain Claw, Nacre, Pearlwing, and The Keeper change how routes are evaluated, so later levels demand fresh tactics rather than repetition.

Track stars, shells, discoveries, and score as you clear the map, then revisit any unlocked level to improve your best route. Progress is saved on your device.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-16

- Tide limits now read exactly as they are judged: the safe window, target and limit all show the adjustments from the bay, tide behavior, gear and boss.
- Route order matters: your route has to read as a continuous run. Tap a card and it slots into place; drag to reorder when the current disagrees.
- Drift Compass and Riptide relax the order of a route, not the rule: the cards must still form a run.
- Replays are scored against your personal best, and the result card now shows exactly what was banked.
- Nacre's off-suit flush is now recognised by the live readout, not just at submission.
- The final tidepool's result button now returns you to the coastal map.
