There are differences between the app predictions and the official Hydro office tide tables, as these are based on large numbers of constants that are not made publicly available. The Hydro offices consider the harmonic methods used in this product appropriate for navigation. App used to be brilliant, but essentially not working now. ### 2/5 — Look elsewhere *2026-03-16* Probably one of the most user unfriendly GUI’s I’ve ever used. App was recommended on a training course which we all immediately downloaded. Everyone was left scratching their heads and asking how to access the relevant information. I’m sure the data is there, it’s just like toothache to find it. Even the licensing is difficult to understand. Do you need two purchases, both the stream data and to look seven days ahead. I gave up, there are a number of easier-to-use apps available. ### 1/5 — Latest update doesn’t work *2026-03-12, version 5.24* The latest update doesn’t allow you to move around the map with IOS 26. Kinda makes it useless now. ### 2/5 — Map view issues *2026-02-16, version 5.24* The recent update of the app has introduced a glitch meaning you can no longer use the map view on an iPhone . Previously the app worked flawlessly. ### 2/5 — iOS 26 phone *2026-02-07, version 5.24* Used this for years and loved it. But now it does not work correctly on my IPhone. Cannot view currents correctly on the chart and suspect it’s linked to the way iOS scrolls between screens. ### 1/5 — Nepp. Vorsicht Falle. *2026-02-07* Eine Jahreslizenz 2026 für 7,99 Euro gekauft. Die Vorhersage für Cuxhaven ist nur für sieben Tage möglich. Man muss eine weitere Lizenz kaufen. Das ist unseriös! Einen Ort auf der Karte auszuwählen, ist zumindest bei einem iPhone 13 so gut, wie unmöglich. Bleibt lieber bei Papierkarten. ### 1/5 — No data in 2027 *2026-02-05, version 5.24* I purchased the Annual License for 2027 at the beginning of January. Despite that no tide information is given in the app for places outside the Uk. I have written to Support on 6th Jan and again on 2nd Feb but have received no response (not even an acknowledgement of my mail). So it seems I have completely wasted my license fee and will have to look for an alternative to Imray. This is a shame if the app worked it would be useful. ### 2/5 — Problem with indicator on tide graph *2026-02-02, version 5.24* When I drag the indicator to the right on the tide graph the entire tides panel slides to the right taking me back to the index page. ### 2/5 — Ruined by latest update *2026-01-11, version 5.24* I have regularly used this app for years, unfortunately it has been ruined by the recent update. The map UI is now unusable. Not great since I pay for the yearly licence. ### 1/5 — Probleme mit iOS 26.2 und iPadOS 26.2 *2026-01-09* Die Ortssuche funktioniert mit der neuen Software Konfiguration weder auf iPhone noch iPad - weder geografisch noch mit der Listensuche. Zur Zeit ist die App damit komplett unbrauchbar. Wann fällt bei Imray eigentlich dieser gravierende Fehler auf? Die aktuelle Version ist seit ca. 6-8 Wochen ausgerollt. Wo ist die Imray Qualitätssicherung? Diese gravierenden Fehler müssen auffallen, bevor ein neues Release ausgerollt wird. Leider häufen sich solche Probleme in den letzten 2 Jahren und werfen ein schlechtes Licht auf Hersteller und Produkt. Den Imray Tides Planner habe ich seit fast 10 Jahren in Benutzung und die Qualtät ist seit gut 2 Jahren leider schlechter geworden.
