## What is Tidestone?

Some things are too heavy for words. Tidestone gives them somewhere to go.

Press and hold the sand, and whatever you're carrying turns into a stone. The longer you hold, the heavier it gets. Grind your finger and it gets rougher. Say it out loud, or shout, and that goes in too. Then leave it on your own quiet shore, and let the tide do the rest. Every night it wears your stones a little smoother.

No account. No typing. No one else. Everything stays on your iPhone.

MAKE A STONE
• Press and hold to shape it: the heavier it feels, the bigger the stone; the rougher, the more jagged
• Feel it form under your finger with gentle haptics
• Let your voice in (optional): what you say is kept with the stone and written down on your phone
• Pick a colour, give it a name if you like, and leave it on the shore

YOUR SHORE
• Your stones gather on the sand, a month or a week at a time
• Arrange them by hand, or gather them into a cairn, circle, square or heart
• Draw in the sand with your finger, and watch the tide wash it away
• Take a picture of your shore to keep or share
• Tilt your phone and the sea moves with you

LET IT GO
• Not worth keeping? Flick the stone across the sea and watch it skip away: small stones skip further, heavy ones sink fast. Only a ripple stays
• Knock your stones together: the oldest ones crumble into sand. Keep them, or let them go for good

OVER TIME
• Open any stone to see how far the tide has worn it, hear what you said, and read it back
• See how things have changed: this month against the last, this week against the one before
• Hold a stone to feel its weight and grit
• An optional evening look back, now and then, about a heavy stone that has since softened

YOUR SHORE'S SONG
• Once 30 stones lie on your shore, they play as one piece of music: heavy stones low, light stones high, flicked stones a drop in the water
• Share your shore's song as a short post with its sound

MADE TO BE CALM
• Dawn, day, dusk and night looks, or follow the clock
• The sound of the sea, and stones that clink as they settle
• Widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen
• Respects Reduce Motion

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your stones, voice recordings and words never leave your iPhone. There's no account, no tracking and no ads. Speech is turned into text on your device.
