## What is Tidyvault?

Tidyvault is a private, on-device vault for the photos, videos, and files you don't want sitting
in your regular Photos library or Files app.

YOUR DATA NEVER LEAVES YOUR DEVICE
Everything you add to Tidyvault is encrypted (AES-GCM) and stored only on your iPhone or iPad —
there's no account, no cloud sync, no server Tidyvault could even hand your data to if it wanted
to. Your vault is protected by a PIN and, if you enable it, Face ID or Touch ID.

WHAT YOU CAN VAULT
• Photos — imported from your library or captured fresh with the camera
• Videos — same, with full playback straight from your vault
• Files — anything from the Files app: PDFs, documents, whatever you need kept private

HOW IT WORKS
• Set a 4- or 6-digit PIN (your choice) the first time you open the app
• Add items via the camera, your photo library, or the Files app
• Choose to keep the original where it was, or remove it once it's safely vaulted
• Everything vaulted stays fully browsable, playable, and shareable — just behind your PIN

BUILT TO ACTUALLY BE PRIVATE, NOT JUST HIDDEN
A lot of "vault" apps just move a file into a folder the Photos app doesn't show. Tidyvault
encrypts the file itself, so even someone with access to your device's raw storage can't read it
without your PIN. The vault also locks itself automatically when you leave the app, and its
contents are hidden from the app-switcher preview.

NO FORGOT-PASSWORD BACKDOOR
Tidyvault doesn't email you a reset code or accept a magic bypass PIN, because it doesn't have
your data to hand back to anyone who asks — including us. If you forget your PIN, resetting the
vault is honest about what that means: everything in it is erased, because that's the only way a
vault with no server-side copy of your data can actually work.
