The only issue I’ve had is for example, I’ll play a pair of 10’s. All players will pass. I’ll continue on with pair of Q’s, A’s, and 2’s. I’ll then get chopped. In reality, they shouldn’t have been able to chop me since they passed on all the other pairs. This also happens with single cards played. Oh, they’re able to do that, but not me. ### 3/5 — Rules are off *2016-03-10, version 2.3* I should know since I was on the team to write the rules of the game. 1) You don't have straight suits programmed. A higher off straight can not beat a straight suit. 2) A 4 of kind slam (or bomb) does not beat 3 straight pairs. Once one slam is played it can only be beat by the same kind. 3) The game ends when a player has played all his cards, has 4 2's, or has 3 to A straight. NOT all pairs in hand. Technically you can't call this game Tien Len, but legally you can. ### 3/5 — Pass button *2016-01-25, version 2.3* The play and pass button needs to be swapped, the app seems like it was made for a left handed person. However, there's just one glitch. I get a consecutive sequence in my hand and someone plays a 2, sometimes it won't let me play my hand to "chop" the 2. I then have to restart or start a new game. It gets annoying after a while and I have to restart my score. There's also no card counter when I select that in the options. A suggestion would be to automatically start a new game when I win instead of waiting for the computer to finish the round. I will change rating to five stars if these changes are met. The computer controlled players always have way better hands, always get chops and get instant win hands all the time. If you download this game, be prepared to get very frustrated and lose a lot. Other than the gameplay, it's a nice looking app. ### 1/5 — Some work and it would be a 5/5 *2015-02-24, version 2.0* The scoring is silly. You are rewarded with points for having a good hand dealt and less points for winning with bad hands. You can essentially come in first every round and still end up last in points after several games. Because someone has four 2s they get 12 points and I lose 12 putting them up 24 points (the equivalent of winning 1st 8 times) just for having good luck. I have a 13 card straight and have opening hand so it makes me auto win. I get 0 points and player 3 randomly gets +12. Rewarded for having four twos but penalized for having a divine hand of 13? They play two killers after passing but the player is not allowed to do the same. A two killer in 61 out of 70 matches seems like bad statistics but I can live with that if the other issues were addressed since for all I know that's really just my luck. I would like to see the developers add a small indicator to the playing board that shows the player number next to the player’s cards and leave the bonus/penalty points showing for the duration of the hand. Don't listen to the people who say the AI is too hard. I'm not Asian and can hold my own. It's definitely challenging, but in a good way. Also, you can change the pass and play buttons by swapping in the settings. Sure, there are lots of chops/bombs, but it's what makes the game intriguing. The app runs smoothly on my iPhone 6. I have downloaded many other tien len apps, and this one is simply the best. Simple yet sophisticated. It is just you versus three computer players, and every time I play, I get better. It also explains the tien len game in a very through manner. I feel that this app is excellent for people of all levels, beginners and advanced players.
