Now it won’t connect on my phone. It will connect on my wife’s phone but not mine. The worse DVR I have ever used system was way having problem connecting to the phone app and it finally die on me. So I looked around and found two different brand on Amazon and none of them connected to the phone. Saw the band Tigersec and gave it a shot at first I had a little problem getting it to connect to the phone. Did more readying on it play around with the numbers and BANG connected. It’s been over three years and I never had a problem works flawlessly and always connects to my cellphone app anywhere in the states even out of the country. However, this is my 3rd system and so far the app has everything I hoped for compared to the first two. Believe me when I say, it already paid for itself! So far, there are only 2 downsides I noticed. 1: I have had it crash a few times. 2: There isn’t an immediate connection and it can take several seconds before the app does connect. On once, maybe two attempts, I had to restart the app to view the cameras. (The only lag I noticed was when I was away from home. Granted that could be a service issue based on my location at the time I attempted to view the cameras so I don’t hold that against the app at all, yet). What I love about the app is the set up! Laypersons like myself were definitely thought of because the step by step instructions are super clear and easy to understand. The previous two systems had generic information about set up and none of the tools for help actually provided any real helpful information. I had to YouTube and Google everything just to get things figured out! When I called customer service for help, I was treated like it was a bother to help me out! Thankfully, what I love about this app and the system highly outweighs the downsides: The playback features are super awesome! Literally on day one after installing the system and app, a hit and run happened to one of the vehicles of my household that was parked on the street. Instead of wasting time fast forwarding through like the other apps I’ve used, I was able to actually pinpoint the exact time when the incident happened. I screen recorded the event and was able to show the traffic officer what took place. With my last two systems, I would have to carefully scroll to the approximate time by about 2-3 mins ahead before I could actually review footage. The ability to actually pick the minute I want to review video footage gets a full star from me. The next thing I love about the app is the movement happening alert. The app does a decent enough job of showing me exactly which camera detected movement. In the last 24 hours, I’ve used that feature, a lot! While my previous systems had motion detection, they did not specify which camera it had been caught on. I had to look at all the cameras or select them one by one to see the little “running” man. This app however shows exactly which camera has motion detected by number. It also shows which channels are not connected with what looks like a static image. Lastly, multiple users can be logged in and review footage at the same time! This feature is extremely important to me because our neighbors are not exactly law abiding citizens. We have concerns over our safety, especially after the house was raided only 24 hours after I installed the system and this app! Two of my family members were out of town and able to download the app and see what was happening out front in real time! The previous system we used didn’t allow more than one person to view the cameras at the same time at all.
