## What is Tikir Robot?

Tikir Robot is a game app made for schools: children practice emotions and what other people see and know, step by step, with short narrated animations. It is played at school with the teacher and at home with the family.

Accounts are created through the school; there is no public sign-up. To use the app, you need an account or an invitation code from your school.

HOW IT WORKS
Every scene follows the same order:
• Watch: A short animation tells what happens out loud; the sentences also appear on the screen.
• Think: The guide asks the question and shows the answer cards.
• Choose: The child picks a card. There is no scolding after a wrong answer: the guide says "Let's think again." and the child tries again. At the end of the session there is a short celebration with stars.

22 GAMES IN 5 AREAS
• Emotions: From recognizing facial expressions to understanding what causes a feeling, in four steps.
• Seeing and Knowing: Understanding what someone else sees, how they see it and what they know, in four games.
• Gaze and Intention: Understanding from where someone's eyes are looking what they want and what they intend to do, in four games.
• Pretend Play: From telling real from pretend to joining in a game of pretend, in five games.
• Looks and Reality: Understanding that how things look can differ from how they really are, and what people say from what they think, in five games.

MADE FOR CHILDREN
• Choose one of three guides: Tikir Robot, Fluffy Cat or Star Astronaut.
• Fully narrated in English and Turkish.
• Sound, celebrations and facial expressions in scenes can be adjusted.

FOR SCHOOLS
• The school's administrator adds teachers and students in the school panel, assigns students to teachers and gives parents an invitation code.
• On a school device, the teacher signs in with the school account and chooses the student who will play; the answers are saved to that student's record.
• Teachers see the progress of students assigned to them whose parents have given consent, and write dated notes and skill scores from 1 to 5.
• Games chosen by the teacher appear at the top of the child's menu with a star.

FOR FAMILIES
• Parents create their account inside the app with the invitation code from the school.
• The Parents' Corner opens with a PIN; the settings are there.
• Answers for each game can be viewed for the last 7 days, the last 30 days or all time; reports are saved as PDF and CSV.
• You can read the notes of the teacher you gave consent to in the Parents' Corner.
• You can delete your account in the Account section of the Parents' Corner.

PRIVACY
• There are no ads in the app. Data is not sold and is not used for advertising.
• A child's game answers can be seen only by their family, by the school's administrators if it is a school account, by teachers the family has given consent to, and by us as the provider of the app.
• A teacher sees the child's progress only after the family gives consent; the family can withdraw consent at any time.
• The child's name entered in the app is not sent to the server; it stays on that device.
• Data is sent over an encrypted connection and stored on a secure server.

APPROACH
The order of the games and the format of the questions were inspired by the mind-reading teaching program of Howlin, Baron-Cohen and Hadwin (Teaching Children with Autism to Mind-Read, 1999). Gaze and Intention and Looks and Reality are inspired by tasks from developmental research on how children understand gaze, intention, and appearance versus reality.

Tikir Robot is not a treatment and does not replace the program. It is a supportive play tool used together with a professional and the family.
