I just wanted to play with actual people without any tricks or hints or advantages. This game is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thank you, developers!!! ### 5/5 — Fun solo or head-to-head play *2021-10-10* This is a little gem of a game. You can play historical boards and see how you stack up against other players who have played the same board, or you can play head-to-head with real users. You can play with friends, too, but I have yet to do so. No annoying sounds or ads popping up (only a subtle ad appears at the bottom of the screen, reasonable for a totally free game. There could be added an options or setting option (play sound FX? I’ve just started playing and trying to challenge myself mostly, to do better each time. Other players are very good at it. I mean quick and savvy in finding words. I like that there’s no add ons like music, flashing lights because boy, am I concentrating. I’ll keep playing and hope others will too. That’s what the premise of this game is, to string together words on a grid. And quickly! Rankings with wins and losses are shady. A player goes from not even in top 20 to number 1 in less than a week. Looks like mostly bot players rather than humans. A real shame as this could’ve been a good game. Its word list is suspect, leaving out gerund nouns but adding non-words (and no dictionary backup) which allows some to achieve high scores in head to head competition (which BTW is the game’s best feature) ### 3/5 — Good game *2023-07-12* This is a very good version of boggle but my main complaint is there are too many words of dubious legitimacy or definitions or language. Who wants to sit for ages waiting for the score to load between rounds instead of just seeing it listed? Same nonsense at the end of each game! Also, the players in this game appear to be mostly bots! Probably because nobody wants to sit for ages to waiting to see the scores at every stage of the game! ### 4/5 — Overall, great, but… *2023-02-14* Overall, this is a great free game! It’s amazingly quiet with no background music or sound effects — at first that’s a bit unnerving. There are only tiny banner ads which is a welcome relief from other games’ insidious pop ups. A minor annoyance: The stated “play as many simultaneous games as you like” is a bit inaccurate. You can only initiate 3 games and must wait for a playback before initiating more. There’s no good reason for such a limit. ### 4/5 — Great, small, simple, but fun! *2022-06-01* If you like Boggle, you will like this game! Very straightforward, allows chat, and has a good ranking system. My ONLY complaints are that you can’t rotate the board (which I really miss!), and there doesn’t seem to be a Help section in-game…if I had been able to rotate, I never would have looked for Help. ### 4/5 — Great game—but a glitch needs fixing. *2022-04-18* I play the free version, and I lve this game as well as its cousin, Words By Post (similar to Scrabble). There is no link through the app with which to contact the developers/support staff. This is problematic because there is this odd glitch that happened to me as well as someone against whom I play ranked games regularly: i opened a game to play my turn, and my turn completed before I could play (the tiles shake back & forth). Developers need to look into this, as my expperience was not an isolated one. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — My Favorite Game, but… *2026-01-03* 1-3-26 Since updating my IPhone to version 26.1, Tiles By Post is not opening properly. The game starts to load, gets stuck at title page and disappears. It does open when logging in a 2nd time. Your support page isn’t working properly either. Clicking to email support kicks the game offline with the need to restart the app again. This only started after the latest IPhone update. I also play add-free. I wrote this a very long time ago and still feel the same. So far, this is one of the best word games available. No needless bells and whistles. This Tiles game has extra bells and whistles to practice and compare yourself to others. I just wish I could get smart enough to be competitive against hubby. The simplicity is what makes it great - no annoying sounds, no pointless “coins” that other games make you collect, and the ads don’t disrupt the game, they’re tiny and hardly noticeable. You can play by yourself or play challenge games with friends or others online.
