## What is TillNext?

TillNext: Paycheck Planner is a simple paycheck planning app for people who want to know what is coming in, what needs to go out, and what is left before the next payday.

Set up recurring income, recurring bills, and one-time expenses. TillNext turns those details into a practical month view so you can keep track of upcoming items, mark bills as pending or paid, review previous occurrences of recurring items, and see how the month changes as real life happens.

Home starts with safe cash to spend, a Can I buy this? check, and cashflow totals to compare against your bank. Month bank balances are explicit, so a new month starts clean unless you enter or match the bank balance for that month. Card tools live in their own optional tab, and Month shows the rest of the selected month day by day.

The Recurring tab also lets you move between months, so future-starting recurring bills can be reviewed before they affect the current month. Recurring expense rows show the selected month's occurrence days beside their cadence, and entry editors keep amount, name, dates, frequency, and end dates clear and easy to adjust.

Home Screen widgets keep the Till Next amount visible outside the app. Small and medium widgets include quick-add buttons for one-time income and expenses, and the large widget shows the next few Home items.

TillNext is local-first and intentionally simple. There is no account to create, no external connectors, no Google integrations, no ads, and no analytics tracking. Your planning details stay on your device unless you choose to export them.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.9 — 2026-07-11

- Fixed a bug where a recurring bill could silently disappear from Home, the Month tab, and the daily balance calendar after its due date was ever adjusted for a single month — it could vanish from every other month too.
- Fixed two recurring income sources landing on the same day being merged into one incorrect total instead of showing separately.
- Fixed occasional mismatches between what Home and the Month tab showed for the same month.
- You can now nudge a recurring paycheck or bill's date for just one month without changing the whole recurring schedule.
- Fixed manual paycheck reassignments sometimes getting reset when a bill rule refreshed.
- Tilly's attention indicator is now a simple count badge instead of a speech bubble.
- Tilly's RPG has moved out to its own app, Tilly's Quest — TillNext stays focused on the finance tracking.

### 1.1.8 — 2026-06-18

Your month starts where the last one left off
  - New months now auto-carry the prior month's leftover balance, with a heads-up card when a fresh month begins.

  Calmer reminders
  - Needs Attention is now collapsible, and Tilly shows a quiet count badge instead of a speech bubble.
  - Snooze items that need attention until you're ready for them.

  More accurate safe cash
  - Confirmed income and expenses are now counted correctly, with no double-counting.
  - Past expected income rolls forward to today in the projection.
  - Skipping one recurring income occurrence no longer skips the rest on that date.

  Cleaner planning
  - Adjust a paycheck or bill's date for a single month without changing the recurring rule.
  - Past-day balances in the calendar now include confirmed transactions.
  - Fixed a cashflow warning that appeared on $0 expenses.
  - Fixed a bill-rule refresh that dropped a manual paycheck reassignment.
  - Removed the "Can I buy this?" check to keep Home focused.

### 1.1.7 — 2026-06-07

Tilly is getting smarter in 1.1.7. She can now point out planning items that need attention, help you jump to the right place, and let you snooze reminders when you are done for now.

This update also includes Safe cash fixes so confirmed income and paid expenses are reflected more reliably after cash updates, with less double-counting and fewer projection surprises.

### 1.1.6 — 2026-05-31

- Tilly companion — Added an optional draggable clock character to the Home screen. Tap Tilly for gentle planning nudges relevant to whichever tab you have open. Toggle it in Settings → Display.
  - Tilly Home Screen widget — A new "Tilly" widget variant shows your balance alongside Tilly's full character (clock body, arms, and legs) in both small and medium sizes.
  - Fixed: future-month cashflow notice — The "this month goes negative" warning no longer appears when you're browsing a future month, where its date and wording were misleading.
  - Fixed: contradictory safe cash warnings — Home heads-up notices and Needs Attention now stay consistent with the Cash today safe cash number, so you no longer see conflicting messages about the same month.

### 1.1.5 — 2026-05-23

Bug fixes to safe cash using stale references.
