Been a custom for 18 years and they still haven’t improved! ### 2/5 — Rejected deposit!!! *2024-03-21, version 3.10.3* The first time in 40 years my deposit using remote deposit has been rejected. Really!?!?! Save yourself some time and use the drive-up. Online banking is helpful, remote deposit is lame. ### 3/5 — Works OK but missing features. *2022-04-27* It’s reliable once set up and opens quickly every time, which is nice. Unfortunately it’s missing in the reports and searching areas. There’s no way to easily filter out different deposits or separate different purchases, either by methods, amounts, or vendors. If using Timberland as the primary bank we are forced to scan through the entire list of all purchases to locate any specific one. This is a MAJOR frustration when a purchase from a previous month needs to be referenced. There is no reliable way to generate a report from an individual vendor that spans several months, and the search will not work unless the full name of the vendor is input, which makes locating a one-off purchase made in a previous month a very time consuming process. Also, payroll deposits take 3 days to even show as processing. The whole Timberland web account pages are easy to work with, and I always know when money goes in and out. One it’s shows the right the balance then when you transfer or spend the fun tickets it still shows same balance. Log in again then it shows the balance difference. Check again it shows the previous balance ### 1/5 — Check deposit *2026-05-15, version 3.33.0* Never works ### 1/5 — New update sucks *2026-04-23, version 3.33.0* New update does not allow for access to multiple accounts as prior. Prior you could select the account then it would go to the PIN input. Now it only goes to a PIN input and you can’t select the accounts. Needs a new update to fix ASAP! ### 1/5 — Bill Pay *2024-09-30* The check deposit feature with the app needs improving. Apparently you need to write out “mobile deposit for Timberland Bank” on each check. No where does it say this in the app and there is no notification when your checks are rejected. I’ve used two other mobile banking apps and they don’t require this. If they do, they should make it very clear in the deposit flow. Not user friendly as I have had to contact them through the messaging multiple times. And now have gotten rid of the physical check because I thought I got it the third time but it didn’t say “Timberland Bank” on it. ### 1/5 — App is broken for iPhone versions 7 and prior *2024-03-29* If you have an iPhone version 7 or prior, the app will repeatedly generate non-sensical messages telling you that you must reinstall the app. I called Timberland Bank technical support and was told it was "Apple's fault" and that I should instead use the web based app on my iPhone. After further discussion with a 2nd person I was told that an external software vendor made a decision to not support any IOS versions prior to 15, which is the max version supported by iPhone 7. That explanation implied that iPhones v 7 have a security risk and are too dangerous to use. That almost sounds like a plausible excuse until you consider that the the web based version does run on iPhone 7, and an authenticator app for Timberland does generate valid codes for logging in on iPhone 7. In Timberland's way of thinking, iPhones version 7 are too dangerous to run their app, but it is safe for using their web based application. In summary, if you want a functional banking app and have an older version of the iPhone, you will have to pick a different bank. ### 1/5 — Ridiculous. *2023-12-29, version 3.6.0* This app shows money in my account when there is none, so I end up accidentally overspending. ### 1/5 — On line banking *2023-11-27* Your on line banking is a horror story. I have two iPads I use, one will allow me into my account the other one will not. Keep rejecting my attempts to get in. Yesterday a box came up saying it was time to renew my password? Why would that be. You have nothing about remote deposits needing your bank name on it, but you do so you reject the first deposit because that has not been done. But most of all I would like to get into my account from more then thi iPad because this one is overloaded but the app for your bank will not allow that to happen.
