Time Flies turns every habit into a tree. Plant one for anything you want to keep up: reading, running, meditating, staying off sugar, staying sober. Choose how it grows and the app does the rest. TWO WAYS TO GROW A time tracker tree grows on its own for as long as your streak is alive. Miss a day, cut it down, and a fresh sapling starts in its place. A habit builder tree grows only when you show up: confirm the habit and it grows a little, skip a cycle and it is cut down. Both kinds live in the same forest, and a tree can switch from one to the other whenever you like. A RHYTHM THAT FITS Every day. Every two days. Certain days of the week, so a gym habit set to Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday asks on exactly those days and leaves the rest alone as rest days. Once a week, every two weeks, once a month. Whichever you pick, keeping it perfectly grows the tree at the same steady pace. ONE TAP TO CONFIRM A habit builder asks one thing: say you did it. Confirm from the tree, from a long press on the forest, or straight from the reminder without opening the app. You get a full cycle of grace, so a late night still counts, and if a tree was cut down for a cycle you really kept, one tap fills it in and grows it back. A LIVING FOREST Every tree is drawn on your device from its own seed, so no two look the same. Eight species can appear: orchard trees, pines, palms, banana plants, willows, cacti, baobabs and bamboo. The sky behind them follows your real clock through all 24 hours, from deep night with stars and an aurora through sunrise, noon and golden hour to dusk. Clouds drift past, the sun rides its arc, the moon rises after dark. WATCH IT GROW Your streak is shown live, down to the second, in hours, days, weeks or years. A growth bar tracks the tree from fresh stump through sapling and mature tree to Timeless. Full height takes 24 weeks of streak, or 168 confirmed days. SET A GOAL, OR DO NOT Give a tree a target if you want one: a streak of 30 days, 50 check ins in a row, 100 check ins in total. The percentage reached shows on the tree and in the forest, and the app tells you the moment you get there. Leave it off and the streak simply runs forever, which is how Time Flies has always worked. HARVEST WHAT YOU EARN After three weeks of growth a tree starts bearing fruit. Pick it and it goes into your lifetime total, which climbs nine orchard ranks, from Seedling to Mythic Orchard. Fruit is the reward for patience, not for tapping. KNOW WHEN YOU SLIP Reset analysis shows when your streaks tend to end: which month, which hour, which day of the week, plus your average, median, shortest and longest streaks. Forest insights rolls that up across every tree. EDIT ANYTHING, UNDO ANYTHING Cut a tree down at the exact moment it really ended, not just now. Undo an accidental reset and the tree grows straight back to the height it had. Edit any streak, delete a bad entry, add a past streak, or tick and untick any cycle in your check in history. BRING YOUR HISTORY WITH YOU Export a full backup and every tree comes back exactly as it was: its look, its streaks, its check ins, its cycle, its goal and its reminder. Restore it on a new phone and your forest is simply there again. There is a plain CSV too, and the importer still reads files from other trackers, guessing delimiters, columns and date formats. Your data is yours to take. QUIET BY DESIGN Every notification is optional and local to your device. A weekly note tells you how the forest is doing, and each tree can carry its own reminder on its own cycle, which stays silent on a rest day or whenever the cycle is already confirmed. No streak shaming, nothing you did not ask for. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account. No sign in. No cloud. No analytics. No ads. No trackers. Everything lives on your device, and the app works entirely offline. Time Flies is a small, quiet app built on one idea: the thing you keep doing is the thing that grows. ## Version history (last 4 releases) ### 2.2 — 2026-08-01 Version 2.2 HABIT BUILDER TREES A tree can now grow the other way round. Instead of growing on its own while a streak stands, a habit builder tree grows only on the cycles you confirm, and not at all on the ones you skip. Choose which kind you want when you plant it, and change your mind later from Habit settings. CHOOSE YOUR CYCLE Every day, every two days, once a week, every two weeks or once a month. One confirmed cycle is one cycle of growth, tuned so a habit kept perfectly reaches full height in exactly the same time as a streak on the clock, whichever cycle it runs on. CERTAIN DAYS OF THE WEEK For the habits that live on a timetable. Pick the days, say Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for the gym, and the tree asks on exactly those days. The days you did not pick are rest days: nothing is due, nothing is lost, no reminder arrives, and your kept percentage does not count them against you. Going on a rest day anyway still counts as a bonus. ONE TAP TO CONFIRM Confirm from the tree, from a long press on the forest grid, or straight from the reminder with the I did it button, without opening the app. Your check in history lists every cycle so you can tick or untick any of them by hand. A FULL CYCLE OF GRACE Confirming on Monday keeps Tuesday yours. Only a whole cycle that ends unconfirmed cuts the tree down, and it is cut at the moment the cycle ran out, not the moment you next opened the app. Come back after six weeks away and you find one honest cut, not forty. On a weekday schedule the grace lands on the next day you actually picked, so a Monday and Thursday habit is never cut down on a Tuesday it never asked about. I DID IT, GROW IT BACK Forgot to confirm a cycle you actually kept? For as long as the next cycle lasts, one tap fills the missed cycle in and grows the tree straight back to where it was. GOALS Any tree can now carry an optional target: a streak of so many days, so many check ins in a row, or so many check ins in total. The percentage reached shows on the card and on a progress bar on the tree, and you can be notified the moment you get there. Leave goals switched off and nothing changes. REMINDERS PER TREE Each tree can have its own reminder following its own cycle, at the time you choose, on the weekday or day of the month you choose. A reminder is skipped whenever that cycle has already been confirmed, and on a weekday schedule it only ever comes on the days you picked, so it only asks when there is something to ask. FULL BACKUPS Export a backup and every tree comes back exactly as it was, including its look, harvested fruit, check ins, cycle, goal and reminder. Restoring replaces the tree it belongs to instead of making a duplicate, and there is a replace my whole forest option for moving to a new device. RICHER CSV The CSV export now carries the cycle, the picked weekdays, the goal and every check in alongside the timeline, and still starts with the same name and date columns, so older files and files from other apps import exactly as before. FIXES AND POLISH Loading your forest is now tolerant of a missing or unknown field, so an older save or a hand edited file can no longer cost you a tree. The weekly note now mentions anything waiting for a check in before it talks about how the forest is doing. Trees that were cut down while the app was closed are reported when you come back, instead of quietly disappearing from their streak. ### 2.1 — 2026-08-01 Version 2.1 ORCHARD RANKS Fruit you harvest now counts toward nine named ranks, from Seedling up to Mythic Orchard, per tree and across your whole forest. RESET ANALYSIS Every tree now shows when its streaks actually end: by month over the past year, by hour of the day and by day of the week, plus average, median, shortest and longest streak and the typical gap between resets. FOREST INSIGHTS A new screen in Settings rolls those numbers up across every tree at once. EXPORT YOUR FOREST Export the whole timeline as a CSV file, share it or save it to Files. It reimports cleanly, so your history is never locked in. CUT DOWN AT THE RIGHT MOMENT Resetting now lets you pick the exact moment the streak really ended instead of assuming it was just now. FIXES AND POLISH Deleting a tree from the forest grid now asks for confirmation first, so a whole history can no longer disappear on a single tap. Median streak length is now calculated correctly when a tree has an even number of completed streaks. Fixed a crash that could happen when opening the cut down sheet for a tree whose start date sits in the future after an import. Streak timelines stay consistent when you add a past streak that overlaps a newer one. The app no longer asks for notification permission before you have planted anything.
