## What is Time Machine AUv3 Plugin?

This is an AUv3 compatible plugin which can be used with your favourite DAW such as Cubasis, Auria, Meteor or GarageBand. It does not function as a standalone program.

Time Machine is a plugin that allows you to go back to the days of vinyl and tube amplification. 

If you still long for those nostalgic days of warped records, worn needles, static laden, crackle ridden vinyl then this plugin is what you've been waiting for. It simulates the sound of early gramophones, radiograms, record players, through to late 80's turntables.  You can either select an 'Age' or tweak individual settings to add warp, dust, scratches and good old fashion hiss to your recordings. 

The tube emulation mimics the old valve driven amplification which can be overdriven to add a nice warm
tonal quality to your sound. It even allows you to add additional harmonics using the saturation knob to mimic the effect of tube amplification. It's a subtle but effective way of adding character and punch to thin sounds without changing pushing them in to the realms of distortion. 

When you turn on the Vinyl emulation you can choose to emulate the needle hitting the record, while the power button smoothly fades the effect in and out.

We've all heard those great intros that sound like a blast from the past before diving into an aural onslaught. Well this might just be the tool to help lull your audience into that false sense of security! 

This is one of those playful fun effects designed to add a bit of spice into your songs and inspire ideas.

Even when the track is paused the effect it playing in the background that’s a big problem I think ill just use wires for the vantage dust until get a update I wont be purchasing any more apps from you guys as the first too apps I got from you have this problem a bet the rest of the line up are like this if fix would be my go to plugin but until then

No stability issues for me. Does exactly what I’m looking for. Was looking for something to replace Izotope Vinyl on iPad and this one does it well.

To the person who complained that this made their cubasis staticky and gave it one star: yes. That’s literally part of what this app does. If you don’t want the static sounds, turn those knobs down or turn off the plugin when you’re not using it. All effects plugins that add generative sound have this exact same behavior.

This thing kicks out more vinyl sound than a pair of fake leather pants on a Naugahyde sofa during a heatwave.
I use this often. Does the job. Has always been stable. It has enough parameters to customize a wide range of vinyl sounds. 
There’s very few apps like this for iPhone. Plenty of tape emulators but I haven’t found any other specifically for vinyl yet.

**Developer response:** I just tried loading this plugin in GarageBand and its working fine here. Can I suggest you reboot your iPad so the plugin is re-registered and try again. Can you give me an idea of the iPad model you are using and the version of iOS?

I was introduced to this useful little app while watching a YouTube tutorial by Bolo Da Producer. Used sparingly, Time Machine adds warmth and retro authenticity to whole projects or individual parts. The price, as usual, is very good value, and unlike some of the ‘big’ developers, 4Pockets apps work on release, then get improved.
