## Newest reviews (12 of 63)

### 3/5 — No bookmark option

*2025-06-20, version 107.4.3*

Please introduce a bookmark option in the new version of the app

### 2/5 — New Issues

*2020-06-14, version 104.3.1*

Quite often App does not download new editions unrelated to internet connectivity. It seems your IT dept. is never on the ball, fixing issues.

### 2/5 — Version 104.3.1: bug report + bad app + how to make it better

*2020-05-25, version 104.3.1*

NOTE: This review is about the free version.

BUG: Keeps crashing on initial opening. Please fix.

PROS:

It looks great when it works.

HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER:

Make it so that it stops crashing.

CONCLUSION:
A bad app, with lots of room for improvement.

### 2/5 — Is anyone home?

*2020-01-12, version 34.0.0*

App seems to have stopped adding new editions and often new editions won’t download. Tried reinstalling and nothing. Emails and feedback ignored. Subscription renewal one month away. Why would I bother paying for something I don’t get? Good when it works.

### 1/5 — Overpriced and bad

*2019-03-13, version 34.0.0*

I won’t repeat what most others have said but it’s not been updated for a very long time and is poor quality. It’s also overpriced. $13.99 for a downloaded edition or $9 for the actual copy in the shops. How is the digital edition over 40% more expensive when there are no raw materials (paper, etc), no freight/transportation and little in the way of overheads; just a percentage to Apple (the shop takes a profit in hard copy). Really, don’t bother.

### 1/5 — Can’t even get the app to work

*2018-08-06, version 33.0.0*

Subscription is a waste. Ruining your brand.

### 1/5 — Frustrating and annoying

*2018-05-20, version 33.0.0*

I am absolutely over continually having to sign back into the app. If I check settings it says I can sign out but it will not download the latest issue. So I am signed in but not able to see the magazine! Will not be renewing my subscription.

### 1/5 — The application has not been updated for iPhone X

*2018-04-23, version 33.0.0*

Very disappointing to see that Time have not updated their US or Asia Pacific applications to fit iPhone X functionality and aspect ratio. The Economist Magazine, New York Times, WSJ and Bloomberg all have great applications that are seamless and updated regularly. Terrible Application to use on newer phones.

### 1/5 — Time mag

*2018-03-19, version 33.0.0*

Total waste of time, loses back issues. Turned a good product into unusable. Even loses back issues, will not be renewing subscription

### 1/5 — It was good, then a new version

*2017-12-10, version 33.0.0*

All my old downloaded editions gone, constant nagging about a “reader view” whatever that might be. It was not broken, but you broke it.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2017-12-07, version 33.0.0*

This new version is useless, I can’t use it. It starts to download an issue and stops at 2% permanently. The live feed also doesn’t work and takes ages to even load the static image on opening the app. I now don’t have any acces to the digital version and so it’s absolutely useless to me. I wish you had given option before virtually forcing us to convert to this new worthless one. Please fix. Even the feedback option in the settings hangs forever on sending this message which I tried to do through that option.

### 1/5 — Used to work fine

*2017-11-29, version 33.0.0*

Hi Time, this app used to work fine, was easy to use and was well presented, but the latest update now just crashes. Won't start at all. No reason, no OS requirements were stated or warned about. It just doesn't work. Come on, what OS do you support? How about warning before you let me download and install it. Now I can't read my Time subscription at all on line. Useless......

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — app doesn’t work, cannot buy anything

*2024-06-10, version 104.5.12*

The app doesn’t work, period. There is no option to buy any issue in the app. Clicking ‘subscribe now’ does nothing

### 1/5 — Digital access not working

*2023-12-16, version 104.5.10*

I just recently paid for a 3-month digital access + print subscription to try it out and see if it’s worth it. Unfortunately, every time I try to read a digital article, it keeps telling me to either subscribe or buy the issue. So not worth it. Also, can you just have one app for all of Time Mag across the world and then when you sign in, it automatically takes you to your region’s contents?

### 1/5 — A waste of time. Search function no good.

*2023-11-11, version 104.5.10*

Time A waste of Time. The search function is hopeless. One article on Martin Scorsese? Nothing on Woody Allen? app is garbage. Absolutely useless as a research tool. Search function doesn’t work. Type in “Donald Trump” and it says “no results”. Will not be renewing.

### 1/5 — Very disappointed

*2022-07-11, version 104.5.5*

Have been paying for this subscription since 2017 and since February 2022 have been unable to access or download any new issues even though I have paid for them. Have done all the suggested trouble shooting and still nothing has changed. Have emailed several times and seem to only be getting the run around from everyone involved. Very disappointed in the treatment of my issue.

### 1/5 — Unable to login with digital subscription

*2022-03-23, version 104.5.4*

Sounds like a pretty obvious function that a global media organisation should have been able to get right, but apparently not.

### 1/5 — Can’t log in

*2022-02-03, version 104.5.4*

I’ve downloaded the app and been trying to log in but cannot do this with my subscription. Time needs to spend a little less effort on advertising and more time on getting customer experience right.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2020-06-18, version 104.3.1*

I have subscribed for digital version. The app suddenly doesn’t allow me to download Likewise I have many issues. June 22 I could download but not June 15. June 1 is ok. The help is useless. I have made many calls but no use.

### 1/5 — Awful customer service

*2020-05-05, version 104.2.3*

Be very careful if you want to link your digital subscription to this iPad app. It is three weeks since I subscribed, 6 emails and 4 phone calls later I still cannot access any issues. I should have just subscribed via iTunes.

### 1/5 — More than 1 DigitalTime App

*2019-08-08, version 34.0.0*

August 8, 2019

What hope does the Time South Pacific have when it is confused with the Time Asia App which is NOT available in Australia?

On top of that, the App is supposed to know if one’s subscription was through Time itself or through AppleNews which always seems to be more expensive.

Personally, I don’t want to see Apple get anymore of my funds.

Like others, I have lost my ability to download the South Pacific Digital Edition at the end of January 2019. I cannot login through the App and I am convinced my customer number has been given to Time Asia instead of Time South Pacific. (The Time Asia App is NOT available to Ozzies).

If this mess has not been sorted by the end of my subscription period, I will let my subscription lapse after being a decades long subscriber. Steve Madsen

### 1/5 — Appalling

*2019-03-29, version 34.0.0*

Don't think it can get any worse. I'm a long time subscriber yet the new issues are always locked. Occassionally restoring purchases fixes it. I phone the 1800 number listed in the magazine and the recorded message says it can't be connected as dialled. Trashing their brand and I will NOT be renewing. Just awful.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Old v New- Magazine v App

*2023-04-12, version 104.5.6*

I have lived with Time Magazine my whole life. My parents were in PNG and we had no TV so reading was an integral part of our existence. I have subsequently subscribed to Time for most of my adult life and one of the true pleasures I have enjoyed over a protracted period of time is reading your coverage of many issues. Now I am at the stage where I vacillate between reading the Magazine and the App. Each provides its own positive experience, however, I do lean towards the traditional mode of enlightenment. One of the defining features of technology is immediate access and that, in my opinion, is the most pertinent feature of the App. One can access while waiting for a person of importance purchasing shoes! I enjoy both platforms, the ease of access of the App, and appreciate the dedication, integrity and hard work of the team in bringing the world and many different perspectives to my little neck of the world.

### 5/5 — Convenient Portable version of time magazine

*2020-10-04, version 104.3.6*

It is very handy to have time magazine in your pocket when you are stuck in a line, sitting in a waiting room or in someplace where are you don’t know how to spend your time because you’re waiting for something. I should also mention that the quality of writing in time magazine in the last year has improved markedly. The articles are well researched and well thought out

### 5/5 — SOUTH PACIFIC ?

*2020-06-05, version 104.3.1*

Thanks for the opportunity to comment.
The South Pacific edition is still very USA centric !
Do you have a resident reporter in NZ or Australia ?
If so what does he/she do ?
Some area specific content would be appreciated.

### 5/5 — Time - real news

*2020-06-05, version 104.3.1*

I have read Time magazine for over 50 years. During those years I have witnessed numerous changes, owners, format, editors, journalists, and quest contributors. Importantly, Time has always remained true to it’s founders, Briton Haddon and Henry R Luce.
The transition to digital subscription will hopefully ensure younger readers include Time as part of their information and news stream.
My family find it quite amusing how I always quote Time as my source of news. Since the early 80’s I have stored my favourite issues. I love nothing better than to pick a year and have a quite look back.

### 5/5 — Rubbish app...

*2017-12-18, version 33.0.0*

Opens with Buy or Subscribe, even though already subscribed. Rubbish app. Please hire the people who made the Economist app, that is the best one.

### 5/5 — Time app

*2017-10-03, version 32.57.5*

Worked well on my iPad mini 2 and iPad 10.5 . Set up was easy on 10.5

### 5/5 — Trustworthy

*2017-02-28, version 32.57.5*

In the 'fake news' era, I'm glad that TIME does so much fact checking.

### 5/5 — Very handy

*2016-07-22, version 32.57.2*

Easy to use, and is included in the print subscription. No extra fee. I think this App is excellent.

### 5/5 — Better than the paper mag

*2016-06-17, version 32.57.2*

Actually, I like reading the paper Time magazine, but the app is wonderful and available earlier.

### 5/5 — Subscription issues fixed

*2014-09-27, version 31.3.9*

Help desk responded and app is now working.
