While not perfect, it does 95% of what I need and does those things well. I see app was just updated - developer continues to work on it (and hope he continues to do so!) ### 3/5 — Unsupported??? *2025-02-11* I was hoping to get a calendar issue fixed (can’t seem to pick and keep the calendar selected for the entries to go to). There is no working link to contact On-Core Software LLC. There is a forum, but it’s not registering new users. The last post was November 2024 - not that long ago. **Developer response:** In the built-in documentation it has links to email us. E.g. support@on-core.com This is the first report I have of this and had to look into it. Thanks for letting us know. (Sorry I haven't checked "reviews" in a very long time). The reason it may not be working correctly is that in iOS 17+, they require more "permissions" for the Calendar. In the Settings app, go to Apps -> Time Master -> Calendar and give it Full Access. ### 5/5 — Owner *2024-07-08, version 6.4.3* This has made billing so simple. However, it looks like it’s going relatively unsupported now? Will the app continue to be supported in the future? ### 5/5 — Long time user, still loving Time Master *2023-11-16* I have used Time Master since 2017 and it still meets all my needs for my small business. I have several clients and it is so easy to print the time sheet (or print an invoice). I appreciate the developer updating the app to be compatible with the latest iOS updates, I only wish they updated the style and some functionality of the app to be make it more productive - ie being able to add the same job for the entire week, rather than having to duplicate and then change the info. In the narrative field, the dark mode background loads as white, and so does the text, which makes typing … tricky. I have all the modules and highly recommend every single one of them. I am a computer consultant and use this exclusively for tracking all my hours billing and statements. Thank you to the developer! I see there hasn’t been an update for three years, I pray you were doing well! ### 5/5 — This an awesome app! *2022-06-17* I have used this app for 8 years. It makes keeping track of time and billing so easy with the additional invoicing add-on. It is easy to use and well worth the investment. I am self-employed and it’s an essential tool for my business. ### 4/5 — Excellent time tracking app *2022-01-25, version 6.3.7* This app has all I need and keeps it simple, neat, and tidy. It has just enough options and customization to provide me with a great time tracker but isn’t over bloated with way too many options. I am a little concerned with the lack of updates. Maybe it doesn’t need any but I would not like it if this app was unavailable with a new iOS update or something. ### 5/5 — Very Helpful App! *2021-10-15* As a gig worker, I have multiple clients with different projects and phases, and different bill rates. Time Master has the ability to handle it all. Frequently, I need to add notes about the specific task I am on, and there is a place for that, too. At the end of the month, I export my hours as a PDF time sheet or as a CDF to import into an Excel worksheet and attach it to my invoice, or if the client has no required format for my invoice, I can generate the invoice directly from Time Master. It backs up to Dropbox and keeps an ongoing (revisable) record of everything I have done for as long as I need to maintain the record. It is a great program that I have used every work day for many years! ### 5/5 — Functional billing app *2021-05-21* This works great for a solo consulting operation with a mobile first emphasis in tracking billing. It is missing collaborative capabilities and centralized sync for consolidation. It isn’t easy to use across multiple devices (in a similar way that it isn’t useful to consolidate tracking and reporting). It is outdated on the UI and icon. But it is capable in varying billing rates by project or client, and client activity tracking. I used it extensively since 2010. It still my go to while on the go from a single device. ### 5/5 — The best time manager - hands down! *2021-04-07* I have been using this for a decade now and it has never missed a beat. It is used throughout my business by all field and office personnel, and anyone who temps with us is encouraged to use this app for time sheets and/or billing. First up, it is comprehensive and will take a bit of setting up if you want to get the best out of it. Once you have, though, you will wonder how you ever got on without it. Sync between iPad and iPhone is optional. Managing invoicing, getting paid, reports - all can be done inside the app. Anyone who is self employed or who runs a consultancy, anything that is time-based billing need look no further than this app. I’ve not found anything that beats this, and believe me, I have tried a lot! ### 5/5 — A great app *2020-08-14* I've owned this app for years now and I still think it's as valuable now as it was the day I bought it. If you're looking for a super-easy, reliable way to track your hourly billing and then sending invoices (because getting paid is the point, less we forget), then this app is it. Fantastic app you wont be disappointed with it. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Why does app access local network? *2021-10-19* Something fishy here: the app accesses your local network - as an iPhone will now tell you. Why? Has no conceivable need to do that. What is it harvesting? We don’t know because no privacy policy. So it works v well. See reviews below. But now not sure I trust it. Update3: Jan 18. Still going strong. Still never crashed. Regularly updated. Have recommended it far and wide and all have been delighted. It does exactly what you want it to do with no fuss. Particularly pleased that it updated to ios11 so easily and I see it’s now iPhone X ready - but I have not tested that. Update2: Jan 17. Still using this day in day out. Has never ever crashed on me. Ever. Cannot recommend highly enough. Update1: I originally wrote the text below in April 2009 and because I have used the app to record my billing every working day since then (now Jan 2012) I just wanted to say that it really is a fantastic app. The developers also seem keen to continue working on it and I have never had any outage / problems in just under 3 years. As before, can't recommend highly enough. As before, I have never bothered to write a review about any other app! PS I've now scrolled to the bottom of the reviews it strikes me just how many others have said they don't write reviews but have for this product, and that others have been impressed with the developer support (the transatlantic phone call does not surprise me, see below). I should also say to Peter that you should persevere. You don't need any in-app purchases (I have none) and it is really intuitive just add your 1st entry with your 1st client, your 1st task, and start and stop time. Really is easy. ---- i have a few iphone apps, this is the first time i felt moved to write a review. put simply, this is an excellent, easy to use, app that makes it super easy to record billing details 'on the go'. the interface is attractive and very easy to navigate. the reports (including by email) are generated without any hassle. what is more, the support i encountered was fantastic: i made one proposal to the team (allowing the export of start and stop time data) and it was implemented in the software within 3 days. can't recommend highly enough. el t. ### 1/5 — No longer supports Apple hardware *2018-10-30* I think it’s safe to say, this is now become a windows based product with no plan to update to include OS X and Apple Watch. Many of us purchased modules and the app itself believing it would keep up with the times. Sadly, it doesn’t, and like other mom and pop developers we the consumers are left empty handed without an app to our name. Even TextExpander isn’t supported any longer, but that’s beside the point. Good luck but don’t buy it —- TIME has marched on! ### 1/5 — A waste *2015-06-25, version 6.1.1* After paying for this app they want more money to send invoices. I'd expect that from a free app not one you'd pay for. And I'd bet that in the future they'll charge for updates. If I could I would give it a negative star rating. Ich hatte schon aus Versehen einen Eintrag überschrieben statt einen neuen anzulegen. So habe ich das Plus interpretiert. Mit *Abbrechen* wurde dann der gesamte Kunde gelöscht. Jedesmal wenn ich was neues anlegen will, egal ob Tätigkeit, Projekt oder Kunde finde ich mich nicht zurecht und muss lange suchen. Eine Baumstruktur in einer Seitenleiste, ähnlich einer Ordnerstruktur auf dem Rechner, wäre viel übersichtlicher. Die passende Tätigkeit aussuchen, einen Start- und Stoppbutton klicken und dann werden die Minuten gezählt. Es könnte so einfach sein. However recently the email to client for invoicing and statements is failing. Thanks for the recent update to the app and ensuring it works with newer apple updates, that the app is kept up-to-date. I think the developer should consider moving subscription model to Fund updates. THANKS YOU FOR FIXING THE “APPLE” ISSUE, It wasn’t your App is was an apple conflict after all. Maybe iPad and iPhone update is issue ### 5/5 — Perfect for my needs *2026-01-23* I’ve written a review before several years ago and wanted to follow up with another review. 16 years of using this app and it still functions beautifully for my needs. While I work full time, I occasionally do freelance work on-the-side and this app has been superb in allowing me to track my hours. I always set up a project as a ‘session’ so I can start and stop the timer as needed, and love that I can include notes after stopping the timer that will appear on the invoice as I enjoy giving my customers transparency into what I worked on during a time period. ### 5/5 — Perfect *2025-02-12, version 6.4.3* Terrific.
