### 4/5 — Almost perfect! 2 things: colors and widget support

*2026-05-10, version 4.3.4*

I’ll change it 5 once those are added! Thanks! 🩵

### 2/5 — Misses the mark

*2026-05-06, version 4.3.4*

Used this for a couple times until I realized the fatal flaw. Whatever time you select should be A WHOLE CIRCLE. If you set the timer for an hour, the circle should represent an hour. But if you set the timer for a half an hour., The circle should represent a half hour. That way you can visually see if half your time has elapsed.. This is especially important for kids who don’t necessarily think in terms of the hours.. They think I have this much time to do it, and oh look there’s half the time left. At the very least, there should be an option to have it work this way.

### 4/5 — Like it, one more thing to love it

*2026-05-05, version 4.3.4*

I really like the simplicity of this timer. I actually had a physical timer that they have for sale before so when I found this application, I appreciated the fact they made an app just like their timer. The only thing I would suggest for the makers of this app is to have trackable progress. I use a lot of different apps and so one thing I like about other apps that this one doesn’t have is that if you get so many timers done in a day it’s tracking that. It’s just a good way to be able to reflect on all the work you got done just like a checklist. I did notice that when you were done with a timer, it is zeroed out so if you were to use all your timers in one day, you can zero them out and then refresh them, which is kind of cool too, but if you are using one time or multiple times, there’s no railway to track it. It’s just a suggestion.

### 2/5 — Live activities and Apple Watch

*2026-04-26, version 4.3.4*

Unlike that this timer already syncs between my watch and my phone, but it would be great if it also had a live activity so you don’t always have to have your phone unlocked with the app open to see the time remaining. Additionally, if there was a simple little complication on Apple Watch that showed the disk, that would be great too. For it to a good time keeping tool, I feel like it shouldn’t be so easy to forget about it like it is currently without these features.

### 3/5 — Useful but buggy

*2026-04-18, version 4.3.4*

I’m a teacher and mom of 3. I use Time Timers for everything and just recently started using the app the help with potty training. I love being able to sync across devices so I get notified when his potty timer goes off. Unfortunately, when we restart his potty timer on his device, it doesn’t show up on my app anymore. Also, a few things that the app could use: a passcode option on the timer lock, not allowing the timer to be paused when it’s locked, and a potty symbol. Having a passcode would allow for more independence when teaching a child to use a timer while still providing limits/boundaries. If it’s counting down to something non-preferred, a child can easily pause the timer while it’s locked or unlock it.

### 3/5 — Can’t edit an individual timer in a group

*2026-03-09, version 4.2.10*

In order to adjust a timer in a group of timers you have to drag that timer to the top of the group to adjust it.

### 4/5 — Timer name

*2026-03-08, version 4.2.10*

How to you change the timer name after you have set one up.

### 4/5 — Great app with one exception

*2026-03-06, version 4.2.10*

Love the app, been using it for a couple of years. Works great for my stretching routine. Only issue is the newest version has a pop up that the interval is complete that has to be dismissed. Wasn’t this way on previous version and is a pain when you have a routine with 30+ intervals. Would love to see this removed in a future version. Otherwise is a great was to set a series of interval timers. Great work!!

### 3/5 — アイコンを変えたい

### 4/5 — Nice

*2026-01-09, version 4.2.10*

I like it but I wish there was a way to show what the time will be once the timer ends. Helps with accurately setting the timer.

### 4/5 — Apple watch complication

*2026-01-09, version 4.2.10*

I really enjoy using this app, it helps me with my time blindness, however I cannot find the apple watch complication on different apple watch faces, It would be great if there would be a shortcut to be able to use it more easily!

### 2/5 — Timer

*2025-11-30, version 4.2.10*

Needs to be absolutely FREE

### 5/5 — Loving it!!!

*2025-11-06, version 4.2.9*

I love this app. I use it to help me stay on track with my psychotherapy clients. I have a few stock timers that I can turn on when I need them. It is easy to use and has no glitches.

### 2/5 — Screen keeps freezing

*2025-11-05, version 4.2.9*

The app keeps freezing up and in order to get it to work again, I have to lose it out completely and restart the app. I didn’t have a problem until I paid for a subscription. Now anytime I try to customize a timer, view the list of timers, or adjust anything on the right side of the screen, the whole screen is frozen. This makes it really hard to use in my classroom when I have to keep closing out the app just to open it and go through the process again. I would like my money back…

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2025-10-17, version 4.2.9*

This is just what I’ve been looking for! My only suggestion would be to have the option for a timer to start when the app opens instead of having to manually hit start. I’m using this in conjunction with some iPhone shortcuts and maybe automations too. Would be great if the rest of the timer process did not need an additional step. OR as an app developer, YOU create the Start Timer option in Apple Shortcuts. Regardless, I still love your app. It’s practically perfect in every way! 🥰

### 3/5 — Frustrating trigger limitation

*2025-10-07, version 4.2.9*

If I want to start and stop the clock, I HAVE TO DISPLAY (LARGE) controls at the bottom. This is infuriating.

... as it shrinks the wheel of activiry, (what we love about timetimer)

...this makes the timer LESS visible in stage manager on MAC (where you actually see TimerTimer)

Disappointed.

### 2/5 — Needs complication for Apple Watch

*2025-09-14, version 4.2.9*

I would love to see a complication feature added for Apple Watch so that I can see my timer on the watch face. The built in timer app has this ability, but you have to create a timer using Siri to add labels, and it’s missing other feathers like repeating timers.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Ratings screen: gross

*2026-06-10, version 4.3.4*

Got the screen asking me to rate the app half way through a timer.

### 1/5 — Freezes - Broken for the past 6 months

*2026-04-05, version 4.3.4*

I loved it initially! Great for time blindness!

But after buying my 1-year subscription, it started crashing. Specifically, whenever I tried to open “Timer Lists”.

I’ve already contacted support, but I’m seeing other people here having the same issues, so figured I’d leave a review.

### 1/5 — The worst

*2026-02-10, version 4.2.10*

Don't. Was a waste of time installing and deleting it. I'm doing you a favor by writing this: don't. Just. Don't.

### 1/5 — Things were free now are paid

*2025-08-14, version 4.2.5*

This was a great app but now things that were free and now paid with some other new additional features. For example vibrate is now locked behind a paywall and a subscription paywall instead of a one time payment like their physical timer.

### 1/5 — Won’t let me log in!

*2025-08-02, version 4.2.2*

I have a subscription from purchasing a timer and it worked fine on the iPhone app, but I cannot login to the Mac app. Very frustrating! Please fix!!

### 1/5 — Fantastic concept—shocking execution

*2025-06-28, version 4.2.5*

This is an amazing idea, I love their hardware products. This loaded once for me then just displayed a white screen after that. Even after restarting my iPad and re-installing the app. Really want this to work, but so far it’s bad.

### 1/5 — 𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚒𝚝

### 1/5 — Not good at all

*2025-03-19, version 4.2.2*

Bought a physical timer. It’s great. Came with a 1 year subscription (boooooo subscriptions) to their mobile and desktop app.

Yeah, these apps aren’t intuitive at all. Like, I’m not sure who designed these, but they are very poorly designed.

Also, my iPhone and Mac app both kept freezing. Then I had to force close them. Over and over. Using an M1 Mac and iPhone 15 Pro, so I know it’s not my devices being old and slow.

Turned off the sync between devices. Issue persists.

So yeah, this app, that should be very simple and user friendly, is actually very not user friendly and is unreliable as it constantly crashes.

Glad the 1 year sub was free with my timer.

But also… y’all should be embarrassed charging a subscription for this product. Especially if the app doesn’t work and freezes.

Pretty ridiculous. It’s a TIMER app. How was this executed so poorly?

Maybe stick to your physical timers and leave app development to app developers.

Edit: Updated app to latest version as developer requested. Opened app. App completely froze within 15 seconds of using it.

Completely unusable app. I’m glad I didn’t pay anything for this.

### 1/5 — Apple Watch app does not work reliably

*2025-02-12, version 4.1.9*

I set up a simple test: 1 minute repeat timer, 10 times. I then locked my phone and started the timer on my watch.

The following occurred randomly:
Single beep at the one minute mark, difficult to hear and easy to miss.
No beep at all.
Four beeps, but not at the one minute mark!
No notifications at all.
A notification at the minute mark that had to be dismissed.

Naturally, this is very unreliable and unusable for any practical task.

Giving one star because this should’ve been easily caught during testing.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2026-06-29, version 4.3.4*

This app is a game changer for me! Being able to see the amount of time lapsed and time remaining laid out in this format just clicks with me. Getting places on time isn’t so stressful anymore.

### 5/5 — awesome if you are Neurodivergent

*2026-06-22, version 4.3.4*

i find it really useful to get myself to start tasks

### 5/5 — Custom sound and Widget feature?

*2026-06-05, version 4.2.9*

I like it but I wish there was an option for a custom sound? The base sounds are really harsh? Widgets would be nice too!

### 5/5 — Fabulous with this addition

*2026-05-11, version 4.3.4*

Add a Picture in Picture option, since this is a visual app. Work with Apple to add it to the corner or top of the screen visible from most any app !

### 5/5 — sound

*2026-04-22, version 4.3.4*

not overwhelming. a simple ding

### 5/5 — Simple solution

*2026-03-19, version 4.3.3*

Very simple and quick. Not overthought.

### 5/5 — 1

*2026-03-03, version 4.2.9*

### 5/5 — Bought for my toddler and I use it more myself lol

*2026-02-14, version 4.2.10*

I recently had knee replacement and I have to do exercises regularly so to figure out how long out would take to do the beginner exercises I used the time time to figure out how many minutes to complete so I can increase that amount double time. Thank you time time I bought one honestly a 10 years ago and it was magnified to the fridge. So you have 15 minutes to play 5 minutes to tidy up 5 minutes to wash your hands and sit down at the table. So they got the concept of how much 15 minutes is compared to 5 mins. Now I just have added the Android and the separate one from Chico.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-12-02, version 4.2.10*

I love this app. I’m using the free version and it’s making me so much more aware of how I run appointments. I’m staying on time, staying focused. Super helpful!
