What's New in Time Zone Buddy

1.8

October 15, 2026

Apple Watch: your cities on your wrist, with complications and a Smart Stack card. The round complication is free; the rest are Plus and Lifetime. Heads-up and a city's season are on the watch too. Heads-up is one place with one name. Clock changes, public holidays and market closures in your cities (it was called Time Impacts) now sit on a timeline across the top. A dot marks each day that has something on, and a tap jumps to it. It opens on the next 7 days, with 30 days and the full year a tap away. Every city's clock changes are free for the next 30 days. Plus and Lifetime show the whole year. Heads-up widget: the next two weeks of clock changes and public holidays in your cities, one day at a time. Tap the arrows to step through the days. A strip shows which days have something on, a clock change is drawn so you can see the hour that moves, and in its last 24 hours it counts down. A tap opens that day in the app. Free, and on Apple Watch too; Plus and Lifetime add every city's holidays. Seasons: a city's page shows the season there, counted the way people in that country count it, with the local word where there is one and the whole year at a glance. Press and hold the bar to see any day. Your Home city's season is free; Plus and Lifetime show the rest. Seasons by country, in Settings, lists every place and how it counts them. Meetings in your time (Plus and Lifetime): times read on your own clock, and you are counted in by default. Tap You to leave yourself out. Under the week, one Heads-up says what each marked day is, a holiday or a clock change, and who it affects. Back takes you to where you came from, a group, a city or Home. One line for each group (Plus and Lifetime): when everyone is free, the closest time when no time fits and who it stretches, or who is off. Tap it to plan the meeting. Each group can count you in or not. Find a city fast: Home has a "Filter your cities" field. Type a name, a country, an abbreviation like IST or an offset like +5:30. If nothing matches, search all places in one tap. Work days and overnight shifts: choose each city's work days as well as its hours. A shift that runs past midnight counts as the day it starts on, everywhere. Best Time to Call uses your own work hours and shows the whole window you share, even when it runs past midnight UTC. Report a problem, on a city's page, drafts an email to us with the details filled in. Nothing is sent until you send it. Also new since 1.6.2: • Market hours: when 27 stock exchanges open, close early or shut for a holiday, in your own time. Your Home city's markets are free; Plus and Lifetime show the rest. • Public holidays for about 250 countries and territories, built into the app so they work offline, with state and regional holidays in 35 countries. Dates that follow the moon are marked Estimated. Cities you add by name now always know their country, so holidays appear for places like Sofia. • Set a time in any of your cities: 3 pm Wednesday in London, seen everywhere. • Two cities in one time zone, like Sydney and Canberra, each get their own card, sunrise and sunset. • Search finds more places, ignores accents, finds "IST" and keeps up as you type. • A new app icon. • Time Zone Buddy is now on the Mac too. Plus and Lifetime work there as well. Fixed and smoother: • Work hours you edit on your Home city now save. • A city's page is easier to read on every sky, by day and by night. • Home no longer pauses when you keep a long list of cities. • If you turn off Plus renewal, the Plan screen shows the date Plus ends.

User reviews

My new BFF

I have tried quite a few time zone apps & this is easily the best one. It is incredibly easy to use, the design is clean and finding the information you need takes just seconds. What really stands out is how simple and seamless everything feels. It does exactly what it is supposed to do without any unnecessary clutter! Absolutely perfect for coordinating my meetings and travel. A fantastic app that has clearly been thoughtfully designed.
