## What is TimeCliper?

Capture the lines worth remembering — and turn them into beautiful quote cards you'll actually want to share.

Paste a video link and TimeCliper shows a clean, readable text version, so you can find the exact passage that stuck with you, select it, and save it as a moment — no scrubbing required.

CAPTURE WHAT MATTERS
• Read a clean, searchable text version instead of scrubbing a timeline
• Select any passage and save it as a moment
• Fine-tune the selection with simple expand and trim controls

MAKE IT BEAUTIFUL
• Turn quotes into styled cards or photo overlays
• Choose aspect ratio, font size, and timestamp placement
• Keep every card you create in your gallery

SHARE IT ANYWHERE
• Export quote images ready for social media
• Source attribution included automatically

TimeCliper works only with the text you select and creates original images — it never downloads, saves, or converts any audio or video.

Available in English and Traditional Chinese.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.0 — 2026-08-30

• Search now matches across punctuation and line breaks, so what you type finds what was said
• A new results list shows every match with its context — tap one to jump straight there
• A search button in the toolbar, always within reach
• Searching a long transcript is now effectively instant
• Create moments and clips from Shortcuts and Siri, in English and Traditional Chinese
• Quotes are set in a serif now — in the app and in the images you share

### 1.5.1 — 2026-08-22

Series clips are here — turn a long quote into a set of pages you can share as one post.

• Series style: a cover plus paginated quote pages, in the editor and the gallery
• A refreshed look — quotes set in a serif face, with clearer type throughout
• Transcript search moved to the navigation bar; pull down to reveal it
• A floating timecode follows you as you scroll a transcript
• Clip images run edge to edge, with smoother swiping between series pages
• A rebuilt app menu, a new Home tab icon, and fuller Traditional Chinese

### 1.4.1 — 2026-08-04

A redesigned quote panel plus new image options:
• Tap any sentence to start a quote, then extend or trim it sentence by sentence
• New vertical 9:16 image size — great for stories; card style shows the full video frame
• New XL font size for bold, poster-style quotes
• Reading view no longer shows stray line breaks mid-sentence
• Fixes to quote highlighting and selection while trimming

### 1.4.0 — 2026-07-20

• Transcripts open much faster — the stalls when opening a saved video are gone
• Tapping a video opens instantly: the page appears right away with its thumbnail and title while the transcript loads in place
• Fixed an issue where the bottom controls could float into the middle of the screen
• Smoother, steadier loading throughout

### 1.3.0 — 2026-07-15

• Add your own transcript to any video — paste plain text, SRT/VTT subtitles, or timestamped text
• Videos without captions now let you add a transcript instead of stopping there
• Each image you create keeps its own edited quote, while the moment keeps the original wording
• Video thumbnails are back on Home and Search, and search results highlight what matched
• Your library stays put when you open a video — sorted by Recently Added, with more sort options
• Clearer timestamps: elapsed and total on the reader, plus a start-to-end time bracket on every quote
