Please make a universal iPad version. ### 5/5 — Finally a Timecode Calculator that can actually convert correctly. *2012-09-17* I have to do a lot episode timings to make sure that the shows I'm working conform to network specs. We work in 23.98 and delivers in 30drop. Fantastic design & the ability to log and share the calculations are just the tips of the iceberg. I like to judge my tools by how useful they make me to others. Simple to use if you understand what your looking for. I like the fact that it'll cover every formulaic possibility of going from one to another. It's really helpful, especially when you're contending with tight deadlines. Does all the formats I need and then some. Biggest plus for me is it doesn't burn my eyes like other timecode calcs - as an app I use most days as part of my job, that's important to me. I've even started to use it in frame mode as a normal calculator! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 2/5 — No 23.98 calculation *2018-05-17* You have 29.97, but no 23.98. And no custom frame rate option. Otherwise works for everything else. Strange the most popular option does not exist... ### 2/5 — Let down *2016-12-31* Man, I really wanted to like this app. The interface is beautiful and it does exactly what it says it's supposed to do. Only problem is there's no support for 23.98 in video mode. There's an option for it if you're in one of the film modes but otherwise it's locked at 24fps. I find this surprising since the majority of filmmakers shoot in digital video these days. Support for film is great but digital video should be a no brainer. I was hoping this was just an oversight and would be corrected in an update but it's been almost a year since the last update so...I'm guessing it's not coming. Very disappointed. ### 2/5 — No 2398 frame rate available *2016-07-28* While this looked to be a great purchase, and for what it does it could be really handy, the fact there is no option for 23.98 frame rate is a HUGE deal breaker for me. This is 2016 and 2398 is one of the most used frame rates. Zero support from both Panoptik. zero support from Tapfinger. So much potential... I should have the ability to affect the frame rate in the calculation. Namely I'm trying to calculate based on a frame rate of 120 fps. ### 2/5 — Still no iphone 5 screen support *2014-02-11* Iphone 5 was released in 2012 and it's now going on 2014 and this app still doesn't support the full screen size of the 5, 5c, and 5s. Makes me question the commitment to this app long term ### 4/5 — Great Calculator *2011-04-01* It's nice to finally see a well thought out & designed TC calculator on iOS. Love having the ability to see 4 different TC formats at once as well. It would've been nice to have Retina Display graphics, but that's a red herring. ### 5/5 — Beautiful update! *2016-02-16* A beautiful update to an already great app. For those that have worked in media production for long enough, you remember that it was impossible to touch a timecode calculator with this kind of functionality for less than $150. The logs can be exported for producers as well which is great. All in all, a fantastic app. ### 5/5 — This Calculator hits the target. *2013-06-07* This app is almost exactly what I needed. Spend a half an hour with it you will find it very easy to use and understand. The conversions from 29.97df to 23.98 are very accurate. I agree that it is absolutely worth the cost. I have tried several and this is the one that works for what I need. If I could request one thing it would be that there was a selection to convert an hour one TC source 29.97df convert to not start the convert at 00;00;00;00 and to be able to make a timecode convert start at 01:00;00;00. Most of the episodes we deal with have first frame of video starting at hour 1. Good work Panoptik. ### 5/5 — Great looking and easy to use *2013-02-18* Have you seen the other timecode calc apps? They look eye-stabbingly awful and are almost impossible to use efficiently. This one is super simple to use, and makes your eyes happy in the process.
