The only reason why it loses two stars is cause I’m not able to see my stats! Dev, please add stats for games played, and I’d come back to give a 5/5 ### 3/5 — Great game - ad issues *2026-07-29* Love the game a lot, but the ads at the end often don’t close after the time has run out which stops me from seeing my final score, which can ruin what is otherwise a really fun game. Deleted and reloaded again. Now seems to work fine. **Developer response:** Hi, There was some temporary downtime the other day during some scheduled maintenance on the the site which caused this error. The app should now work fine. In the future to avoid confusion I will implement a notice screen during any scheduled maintenance. You can’t reject all cookies, most vendors are hidden behind disingenuous design and when you get to them you have to disable dozens individually. Can’t even change the date from 1962. ### 1/5 — Ad integration fail. *2026-05-22* The TimeGuessr app was fine to begin with, and seems to have been built well - but with the clunky integration of ads seemingly tacked onto a working app, it had made it unusable. For the daily game that I play with my family overseas, before I can share my results, I get an ad that can’t be exited out of, and if I force close the app I am back to the start! Also, with the “share results” you should remove the URL as it makes sharing messy. If the ads get fixed, I will give the app a much higher rating. ### 1/5 — Dangerous Ads *2026-05-16* They’ve recently enabled ads in this app and they are all scam ads. Every ad pretends there is a virus on your phone and include multiple fake ‘x’ icons to trick you. I deleted and reloaded, but same result. ### 1/5 — Crashing issue *2025-08-28* Game loads, choose start game and just the game just instantly closes. Tried a few times, same result every time. ### 1/5 — Political and anti Israel *2025-07-24* Enjoyed the app until it chose to use the platform to attack Israel and provide a one sided argument. Did not Mention Hamas or atrocities. Only attacked Israel. Game should not be used to make political statements. I love this game concept! You look at a photo and you can really analyze and find clues to tell you where in the world that may have taken place. So really zoom in and check it out. And then there are clues about when it might’ve been taken.
