The "start" hanging issue should be completely resolved with improved performance and stability fixes. We are committed to regular updates to keep adding features and squashing bugs. Unfortunately, the count is always off by a day. For example - on December 31, 2020, the app said there were a negative amount of hours remaining in the year. This should be an easy fix - instead of counting down to the last day of the year (December 31, 12:00 am, 24 hours before the new year), the timer should be set to January 1, 12:00 am, or December 31, 11:59 PM. **Developer response:** Thank you for the detailed feedback! We've fixed the countdown logic—it now counts down correctly to December 31, 11:59 PM.
