### 4/5 — Singles night on Tuesdays?

*2026-09-13*

I just wish singles nights in Montreal were not a day where everyone works... Would be much better if it was a Sunday night or Monday night

**Developer response:** It's great to hear you're engaging with our events! We acknowledge your experience regarding the timing of singles nights in Montreal, and we understand that having them on a Sunday or Monday could be more convenient. We will look into this and consider your suggestion for future events. Your input is important to us!

### 4/5 — App good but…

*2026-09-11*

after the last update, the app seems to be giving the venue details only 12 hours before the event compared to 24h previously. Even when it sends a notifications about the venue details being ready, the details are still locked and not visible. Besides that the addition of the extra Saturday coffee and Tuesday dinners are most welcome as it provides more days to choose from.

**Developer response:** It's great to hear that you're enjoying the addition of Saturday coffee and Tuesday dinners! We acknowledge your experience with the venue details being available only 12 hours before the event, and the notifications not providing immediate access. We will look into this to ensure a smoother experience in the future. Your insights are valuable as we strive to enhance the app for everyone.

### 4/5 — Coffee's

*2026-09-05, version 6.16.0*

Not organized

### 3/5 — 3 stars because…

*2026-09-01*

Really like the concept and the app itself is well made. My one issue: the venue is only revealed the morning of dinners, or a few hours ahead for coffees, and the location indicators cover large areas. So if you realise you can't get there in time because it's further than expected or you rely on public transport, the app treats that as a late cancellation, and "late cancellations are penalised." That logic doesn't hold up. If you're only telling people where to be a few hours out, you can't then penalise them for a timing problem you created. Let people know well in advance, or take the pressure off.

**Developer response:** Really appreciate this being laid out so logically, and you're onto something real, but the mechanics work slightly differently than described. A first late cancellation isn't charged at all, it's just a warning, the fee only kicks in from a second occurrence. And if a genuine timing or transit issue caused by short notice affects your ability to attend, that's something we can factor into a dispute, it's not an unappealable rule. That said, your core point stands: a short reveal window creating real logistical uncertainty is worth us looking at directly, and I'm passing that specific tension along as product feedback, not just explaining it away.

### 4/5 — A lovely evening

*2026-09-01, version 6.15.0*

The format of having 6 to 8 people really works for me. There was always somebody I could talk to. It was supposedly a Singles dinner, but I don’t think anybody was that interested or interesting in that way. We did, however, have lively conversation and good meal and everybody was game.

### 2/5 — Dúvida

*2026-08-30*

### 2/5 — Too Rigid!

*2026-08-27, version 6.15.0*

They force you to sign up for 3 months. Then they force you to register for events 4 days prior. I have a busy schedule and most times I'm unable to register since my calendar fluctuates. In 3 months I was only able to attend 2 events! It felt like a waste of money. The app should be more mindful of ppl who only know their availability within 24 hours prior.

### 2/5 — Nice idea locked behind a subscription

*2026-08-24, version 6.14.0*

Love the idea but you can’t do much in the app without being constantly pushed to their subscription.

Would’ve loved to be able to at least try a bit more but I’d rather use something like Bumble for friends for free than subscribe to yet another subscription

### 3/5 — Limited

*2026-08-23, version 6.14.0*

When signing up, there is no option for interests for Theatre/Arts or Social Media so I had no faith I’d get a stimulating match. When is asked me how much I’d pay for a meal, it was in USD and not GBP (I’m in London, UK), so I gave up. If it can’t match currencies, it won’t be much help matching a vining group.

### 1/5 — Worst experience of all time

*2026-08-23*

Worst experience ever, terrible organization, app crashes constantly, charges you and doesnt let you into account to cancel. Insane. You will regret trying this.

**Developer response:** Being charged while locked out of your account and unable to cancel is not the experience we want anyone to have with Timeleft. The app issues you ran into clearly made an already frustrating situation worse. Please reach out through the in-app Support so our team can look into your account and the charge directly and help get this resolved.

### 1/5 — totally unusable with out the over priced subscription

*2026-08-22, version 6.14.0*

27$ a month is ridiculous

### 1/5 — Don’t waste time and money on no effort going to matching people for dinner

*2026-08-21*

There’s no effort to understand people’s profiles, personalities, interests, or what they’re actually looking for in a dinner group.

Last min cancellations and no shows make the experience worse. Groups are often heavily male, with only other woman not showing up awkwardly you end up in eating dinner with 4-5 other men.

It could be much better use of the money they charge you if they invested more in meaningful matching based on interests, personalities, conversation styles, and preferences, rather than simply putting 6 people of a similar age at the same table at the age of AI. The concept is great, but the matching is what would make it worthwhile of your money and time spent on the app and at these restaurants.

**Developer response:** Table composition isn't as simple as sorting six similar-aged people into a room, there's real work behind balancing groups every night, across every city. What went wrong here specifically was a last-minute cancellation that skewed your table's gender balance, that's a genuine miss, not the system working as intended. Interests and personality-based matching is a fair ask and something worth us continuing to build toward, but the gender imbalance from that no-show is fixable for you right now, so please reach out through in-app support with the date so we can review it properly.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unclear app.

*2026-09-11, version 6.17.0*

There is no unpaid feature. You download the app and nothing tells you that it is a “paid app”. In order to even schedule 1 event a week you have to pay. Subscription page says “get unlimited access to weekly meetups” but in reality it’s for ANY access. Sigh.

### 1/5 — Went downhill after not starting off great on the first place

*2026-09-09, version 6.17.0*

First time I went - there was no place at the table for me and I was marked as absent. Did the customer support offer any solutions or a refund of any kind? No.
App has been having glitches, now they are removing features too.
Now it’s $28/mo. Just no.

### 1/5 — Forces you to choose events you can't attend

*2026-09-06, version 6.16.0*

If you're not in one of their core cities the onboarding experience is awful. They make you sign up for an event, but the nearest city for me is 3 hours away. Would be much better if I could just log in completely and see the events without asking me to commit to something that's so far away that I won't go. Unfortunately, until they support medium sized cities, this is yet another useless app.

### 1/5 — Horrible for people with allergies

*2026-09-03*

The app completely ignored my allergy and appointed the worst restaurant possible - thar had zero options. The group was selfish and didn’t care that much lol. Not recommended.

**Developer response:** We understand how much dietary needs matter when choosing a restaurant, and we're sorry this one didn't have suitable options for you. We've shared this feedback with the team that selects our restaurant partners. If you'd like to tell us more about that night, in-app support is the best way to reach us directly.

### 1/5 — False Advertising

*2026-09-03, version 6.16.0*

When signing up, it allows you to choose from 4-5 neighborhoods in and around (at least it did in the city of Los Angeles as well as Orange County). I signed up, thinking there’d be events in either of the neighborhoods I chose in. It’s been two months, I’ve given feedback, and the events continue to be limited to 2/5 neighborhoods in LA and only 1/2 neighborhoods in Orange County. I signed up for six months. It was a waste of money, and I do not recommend it.

### 1/5 — Cancela

*2026-09-02*

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-09-02, version 6.16.0*

Saw an ad for it on Instagram, paid for 1 month subscription but after downloading the app and signing in, it took me through the whole quiz again and asked me to pay , so I can’t even use it and my moneys gone

### 1/5 — Membership

*2026-09-01, version 6.15.0*

App Needs a Free or heavily discounted Trial Period

### 1/5 — Waste of Time

*2026-08-27, version 6.15.0*

Goodbye Timeleft. In 2025 this app was a great chance to meet people. Now? No one shows up to the dinners. So why pay?

### 1/5 — Miles away

*2026-08-24, version 6.14.0*

The nearest dinner is in London, 2.5 hours away from me. There is nothing in cities around me. No thanks then!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — It’s hard to meet new friends as an adult - TimeLeft makes it easier

*2026-09-13*

It’s a fun way to meet new friends, or at least have a fun afternoon coffee with some nice strangers.

**Developer response:** Connecting with new friends can indeed be a challenge, and it's great to hear that TimeLeft has made that process enjoyable for you! We appreciate your feedback and are glad to know it's helping create fun experiences and connections. We will continue to enhance our app to support your journey in meeting new people.

### 5/5 — Impressive

*2026-09-13, version 6.17.0*

As a first-timer going into the meeting, I honestly thought, “It’ll be fine—we’re all adults.” But I left genuinely impressed by how much we can connect with complete strangers. I definitely felt that connection with the people around the table, and I truly feel that the app puts real effort into creating a compatible environment for everyone.

### 5/5 — Venue address and time

*2026-09-12, version 6.17.0*

I love this app . But can you unlock the venue address and time a day early

### 5/5 — Sugestão

*2026-08-31*

### 5/5 — Amazed

*2026-08-29*

I cannot believe the truly incredible people I met through this app on my first (very scary!) try. I felt so comfortable to be myself. Everyone was so unique and interesting. We’re meeting up again soon! Thank you so much for this app.

**Developer response:** It's fantastic to hear about your amazing experience meeting incredible people! We're delighted that you felt comfortable being yourself and that you found such unique connections. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, and here's to many more memorable meet-ups ahead!

### 5/5 — First timer

*2026-08-22, version 6.14.0*

Just what I needed after an intense work week. It was so refreshing to be able to meet new people that are successful in life. Like to share stories, have ambitions and goals and most importantly a sincerely kind disposition

### 5/5 — I love the connections

*2026-08-22, version 6.14.0*

I’ve used this app from Japan, Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, United States and London. This has been a great way to get connected with people in different places whether they are local or just visitors.

### 5/5 — Very good

*2026-08-22, version 6.14.0*

I went with no expectations, but is actually very good! The people were very nice and also the place that they choose

### 5/5 — Such a great concept 💞

*2026-08-21, version 6.14.0*

Signed up on Wednesday and was out to drink on Thursday evening… met with a great group of people and had a great time. Will definitely join in on future events.

### 5/5 — Moving to a new city with no connections

*2026-08-20, version 6.14.0*

I was lucky enough to discover Timeleft right before moving to a new city, and I knew it could be a great way to learn the landscape, discover new places to eat, and hopefully meet people who could help me feel more connected to my new home.

It completely exceeded my expectations. I’ve met so many incredible people, whether at dinner or during the drinks and hangouts afterward. Those connections have grown well beyond the app. My weekends are now packed with plans, I’m constantly meeting new people through people I’ve already met, and I genuinely feel like I’ve built a community here.

Timeleft made my transition to a new city smoother, more welcoming, and honestly more fun than I ever could have expected.
