This app fits the bill. I put all sorts of notes here, as well as use it as a log of my actions throughout the day. Everything is automatically date and time stamped. My only suggestion is to add the option of tags. And, some way of quickly displaying the age of a note. For example, not only would I see the date and time I mailed my assignment, I would also see that it was 9 days, and 7 hours ago. **Developer response:** Thanks so much for writing this review. Most journal apps are clattered and too complicated or really basic. Timeline allows for photo and text entries and just rolls with it. The lifetime unlock version is minimal and I am happy to support the developer. If you need a simple journal that allows you to record your thoughts, memories and anything in between, this is the one. There are a few good ones but I've always liked the running timeline ones, like Momento. Unfortunately that app stopped development. Using journals like DayOne and Journey are solid experiences for what they are. If however you just want to see a "timeline" of thoughts and ideas and images as your day unfolded Timeline is the best I've used. Number one is ease of use. Right out of the box it magically synced up between the Mac version and iPhone without me doing anything. It has all the right features and no bloat, and the UI is gorgeous. There's also an easy search function. I'd love to see the ability to save a search with tags. I'm just so pleasantly surprised I had to write a review. I've been waiting for it. However, This app doesn't work smoothly like I expectd. I mean, it's really slow, takes time to even create one sentence journal. I would give it a 5/5 if the developer can allow us to include videos into our journal entry. ### 4/5 — Really neat time-stamping journal *2022-04-29, version 1.0.7* Well, this is a very neat app – I've been looking for a simple app that time-stamps every entry for a while, and this is it. it does a few simple things very well. First, it time-stamps date and time on every entry, making it ideal for time management. Second, it supports basic markdown (only bold, italic, strikethrough, but still) plus images (you can upload most popular graphic formats). If you use the paid-for version, you can also change entry dates, which means you can kind of use it as a reminder/task management app, although it's not optimised for that. You can edit entries, too, which is helpful if you're writing something longer or using it for task management. The only extras I'd like to see are a bit more support for markdown (headings, lists, quotes, highlights, line separators, maybe) plus keyboard shortcuts for the key functions (there are only two main functions, really: New Entry and Done (plus, I suppose, Edit). Hence the 4/5 stars; but really, with very slight improvements, it deserves 5 stars, not least for clean iCloud syncing with the iPhone/iPad apps (seriously useful). ### 4/5 — After upgrading to iOS15... *2021-11-23, version 7.1* Dear developer, I LOVE this app and I can hardly live without it. Also, I'm so happy to got MacOS version. However, after upgrading my iPhone to latest version, the app has been really slow and often closed automatically. I just wish there was a video upload feature because not everything is photographable and video would add a very significant element. I ended up using TikTok like a diary and then people in my real life saw them. So now I use Verbo and timeline. I wish there was a way to integrate the two but that’s my only negative. I love that it’s not a subscription like everything else nowadays so yeah. It's super quick and easy, it really takes the barriers to journaling away and I'm journaling more often then ever. One note, when I fill a screen, the text box doesn't scroll, so I end up typing off screen and have to manually scroll down to see what I'm typing.
