Time to change your mind. Park what you're about to do, and it comes back only after the delay you chose — 24 hours, three days, a week. Not a password you can talk yourself past. A wait. WHAT PEOPLE PARK • A purchase — park the link, and see later what you didn't spend • A message you'd regret — write the whole thing here instead of sending it • Photos you keep going back to — bring them in, delete the originals • A password or a recovery code — encrypted, with the same wait in front of it • Anything you'd reach for at 2am and regret by morning HOW IT WORKS A name, the thing itself, and how long it waits. That's the whole form — everything else is a row you can skip. When the wait is over the entry comes back and asks. Copy it, hold it longer, or let it go. Nothing opens by itself, and nothing opens early. THE CLOCK ISN'T YOURS TO MOVE The wait runs on Apple's server time, not your device clock. Changing the date on your phone does nothing. Deleting the app doesn't end a wait either — the key and the clock aren't on this device. LOCK THE APPS WHILE IT WAITS A vault is no use if the shop is still one tap away. The shop, the feed or the bookmaker stays shut for exactly as long as the decision does, and opens again with it. Screen Time does the closing, on your device — we never see which apps you use, only the ones you pick. You can also shut them for an hour or a day on their own, without locking anything away, and set a window that closes them every night. A WORD TO YOUR FUTURE SELF Write or record a note while you're clear, and it comes back big at the moment you'd open the entry early. It stays on your device, never synced. WHAT THE PAUSES MADE OF YOU The "You" tab counts what you let go and the money you turned down, how far the wanting drops while you wait, and how fast it fades — "the wanting halves in about 9 hours; 24 hours is usually enough for you". It shows the hours your impulses actually arrive in, and offers to shut those apps in those hours. Ranked by the longest pause you finished, never by how many you started, and counted in decisions, never in days. Every number waits until there's enough of your own history to mean something. A made-up conclusion is worse than none. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION Everything you lock is encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before it leaves it. We can't read it. Optional master-password protection puts the key behind a password only you know. FREE AND PREMIUM Every pause length is free, including seven days, and so is the tally of what you turned down. Premium adds the stronger half: locking the apps while a decision waits, and holding more than three at once. Premium is available monthly, yearly, or as a one-time lifetime unlock.
