## What is Timers & Alarms?

The timer and alarm app you need — designed to keep you on track, whether you're cooking, working out, or managing your daily schedule.

QUICK TIMERS & PRESETS
Get a countdown running in seconds. Tap + and pick a Quick Timer: one tap on 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 or 25 minutes — or dial any duration — and it starts immediately, then clears itself from the list once you're done with it. Or start from one of ten ready-made presets: Pomodoro, Pomodoro 50 / 10, HIIT, Tabata, Meditation, Power Nap, Green Tea, Boiled Egg, Box Breathing and Stretching. Each one explains what it's for, and you can edit it like any other timer.

COUNTDOWN TIMERS
Create multiple named timers with custom durations. Personalize each timer with its own color and alarm sound. Start, pause, resume, and stop timers independently.

INTERVAL TIMERS
Set up two alternating phases — perfect for HIIT workouts, Pomodoro sessions, or any activity with work and rest periods. Customize the name, duration, and alarm sound for each phase. Add an optional warm-up before the first round and a cool-down after the last — or rename the cool-down to "Long Break" for full Pomodoro sessions.

REPEATING TIMERS
Let timers repeat — a fixed number of rounds or endlessly until you stop them. Track your progress round by round.

ALARMS
Schedule alarms for specific times with flexible weekday recurrence. One-time alarms disable automatically after firing. Snooze with configurable durations.

WIDGETS & LIVE ACTIVITIES
Control your timers directly from the Home Screen and Lock Screen. Small and medium widgets show your timers and alarms at a glance — start, pause, or stop without opening the app. The Quick Timer widget starts a countdown with a single tap and shows the ones already running. The Tomato Timer widget (small, medium, large) brings a classic kitchen-timer tomato to your Home Screen. Live Activities keep your countdown visible on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.

25 ALARM SOUNDS
Choose from 25 distinct sounds — from gentle chimes to clear bells, plus four short ticks that suit fast interval work — and preview each one before you decide.

FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE
• Custom colors for visual distinction
• Multiple sort options (name, duration)
• Group active timers at the top of your list
• Light, dark, or automatic appearance
• VoiceOver support and Dynamic Type up to accessibility sizes

PRIVACY FIRST
All your data stays on your device. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts. Your timers are yours alone.

Timers & Alarms is free to use. Love the app? Leave a tip to support independent development.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2026-08-19

Version 1.3.1 contains the following changes:

Fixes:
• It could happen that alarms which were switched on did not go off.
• Exporting your data now leaves out quick timers, because a quick timer starts the moment you create it and deletes itself once you are done with it. On import it would otherwise reappear as an already deleted timer in an inconsistent state. Importing older exports that still contain quick timers now correctly ignores them.

Improvement:
• Saving an alarm closes the edit view — just like saving a timer.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-02

Two new ways to get a countdown running fast — Quick Timers and a gallery of ready-made presets.

NEW
• Start a Quick Timer in two taps: choose 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 or 25 minutes — or dial any duration — and it starts right away, then clears itself from the list once you are done with it.
• Add a timer from ten ready-made presets: Pomodoro, Pomodoro 50 / 10, HIIT, Tabata, Meditation, Power Nap, Green Tea, Boiled Egg, Box Breathing and Stretching. Each one explains what it is for before you add it.
• Put the Quick Timer widget on your Home Screen — one tap starts a countdown, and the ones already running come with their own controls.
• Choose the color and sound every new quick timer gets, and, optionally, keep quick timers together in their own part of the list.

IMPROVED
• The app has a sense of motion now: cards open into the timer you tapped, the tomato dial winds up.
- Controls answer with haptic feedback.
- Reduce Motion is respected throughout.
• Scrolling stays smooth while timers are running, and large text sizes fit.

FIXED
• Changing an alarm's time switches it back on instead of leaving it silently disabled.
• Snoozing or dismissing from the Dynamic Island now shows up in the app right away.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-06-28

Fixed a crash that could affect the Tomato Timer widget during automatic refreshes.
Small wording and Help improvements.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-06-18

NEW
• Now available in French and Spanish, matching your device language.
• "Skipping" indicator — the alarm list now shows right on the row when an alarm's next occurrence will be skipped.
• Onboarding can now be skipped, with a clearer final "Make It Yours" screen.

IMPROVED
• Never lose an edit — leaving a timer or alarm with unsaved changes now asks whether to save or discard.
• Warm-up and cool-down have their own switch, independent of interval timers — add either to any timer.
• Repeating, interval, and warm-up/cool-down options are on by default on new installs, while your existing settings are kept — a Settings tip shows how to switch them off for a simple countdown.

FIXED
• Tomato Timer widget is more reliable on long timers — countdowns over an hour no longer trigger excessive widget updates.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-05-25

NEW
• Tomato Timer widget — small, medium and large kitchen-timer tomato for your Home Screen. Tap to start, pause or resume.
• Warm-up & cool-down — add an optional warm-up before the first round and a cool-down after the last. Rename "cool-down" to "Long Break" for full Pomodoro sessions.
• Show a tomato kitchen-timer illustration on any timer's detail view with a single toggle.
• Sort timers by overall duration and see the total run time on every row.

IMPROVED
• Customise the Tomato Timer widget in Settings — show or hide the control buttons and the digital display.
• Stop button now uses an adaptive brand red that stays clearly visible in dark mode.
• Revised help text throughout for clearer guidance.

FIXED
• Alarms are reliable across reinstalls, daylight-saving switches and timezone changes.
