No Border Stories regarding The Chemical Valley and Line 5 nor any Environmental Exposes. There’s No Opinion-Editorial Page either. Very little regarding Education Secondary Education and Health. The Times Herald is a simple, low budget Gannett Publication. It is improving in the past decade. I am glad the religious Columnist retired and has not been replaced. The Journalism is sub-par and they never dig deep into any story nor question Anyone related to the Story nor ever hardly quote anyone. It’s also a Newspaper largely edited by AI. But it’s better than nothing. Our ‘Freedom of The Press’ is our Nation’s most Powerful Tool. No one can explain to me what happened. I assume now that I should have bought a subscription and then the app? Thank you. ### 3/5 — Website *2024-01-19* The newspaper version in the app freezes up every time on my iPhone. ### 1/5 — Comic Section changes *2023-10-16, version 7.3.2* Times Herald comic section has been changed . “Get Fuzzy” and “Doonsberry “have recently been taken over by other comics that in my opinion are “lousy”. “Dilbert” disappeared several months ago. Maybe it’s time to cancel my subscription. Local coverage has deteriorated over the years. This is what happens when a big companies take over small newspapers. Only lights up emails in green once you press the send button. Not sure what is improved with this app- it’s more of a hassle to me now. Sorry . The only way to read the on line paper now is to open the app thru the App Store instead of thru the usual icon previously downloaded . Even then, I don’t get the paper layout by page . I only have bullet points with story headlines . All this mess because my previous app required me to down load a “stand alone “ upgrade. Then one day I open your app and it’s in Top Story mode and will NOT open in e-newspaper mode. I’ve cleared the iPad cache, turned the iPad off and on, deleted the app and reinstalled, checked to make sure my iPad and the Times Herald app were both up to date and they were. All to no avail. I cannot open the Times Herald in e-newspaper mode. This app is perfect because I work out of town for several days at a time so getting the paper would be difficult.
