I bought jio hotstar & zee5 subscriptions from you guys then why the hell should I go and activate on Watcho? Even then I go to watcho and turns out only a few content is free to watch on jio hotstar & zee5 via watcho and when I contacted TimesPrime support then they clearly told “Talk to watcho” which means they’ve scammed me by not saying this upfront to us. However, after completing the payment, I was informed by the Times Prime team that I must first cancel my existing active membership (valid until September 2026) before activating the extended plan. This effectively reduces my overall subscription benefit to just a few months, which defeats the entire purpose of purchasing an extension. The promotion is misleading—customers are encouraged to pay for an extended period under the impression of added value, but in reality, the usable subscription period is significantly compromised. Additionally, the Zee5 football offering is time-bound, and by the time my current subscription ends, the FIFA-related content will no longer be relevant. This raises serious concerns about why such an extension was pushed in the first place. Despite highlighting this issue, I have been denied a refund on the grounds of a “non-refundable” policy. This is unacceptable, especially when the service was misrepresented at the time of purchase. This experience reflects poorly on customer transparency and trust. And it’s not reflecting in the application. And the customer support is saying a technical glitch. I’m utterly disappointed in the process and delivery of the subscription packs. It is not resolved yet. They said technical team will connect with me. I was told it included Zee 5 for one year . They do in two coupon codes. First 6 months worked fine but when I tried to do next 6 months, they have added a restriction of 60 days to subscribe Zee 5 again. It means user will have to wait 60 days after expiry of first 6 months . Now the bigger scam is the next coupon expires on march 31 . My precious coupon expired on 17 match . How am I supposed to use coupon for zee 5 now ? As there will be no coupon after 60 days. I bought the subscription during the validity period of that promotion, yet the coupon was never provided to me. When I contacted their support team, instead of resolving the issue they simply said that the offer period had already passed. This response is completely unacceptable because my purchase was made while the offer was still active. This feels like a classic case of misleading customers with attractive offers just to push subscriptions and then refusing to honor those promises afterward. It seriously damages trust. Very disappointing service and poor customer support. If a company advertises a benefit, they should honor it instead of making excuses. Total Fraud. I took the subscription of 2999 for Jio Hotstar and other benefits, after few days I noticed I am not able to find Jio Hotstar and according to them Jio Hotstar is now not the part of Times prime subscription and they have replaced it with Sony LIV which was already available in Watcho in their plan. I don’t understand how they can change the plan for already subscribed user. Just be careful. Most of the offers are only valid one time, so the value you get after the initial usage is minimal. On top of that, they automatically enable auto-pay on your credit card without making it very clear. When I tried to reach out to support to cancel my subscription, they flat-out denied my request. The impression I got from their support team is that they’re not very customer-friendly and seem more focused on being cheeky to extract money from customers rather than building trust. I have requested for the plan cancellation & refund but the same has been denied. By denying cancellation you are not giving a goodwill gesture and this is not good for your business, you will not be getting the returning customers with such policies, at least with this bad experience I will never come back to your platform for any more services, neither will I recommend anyone to do so. also I will put message on social media that your policies are not user friendly and making food of customers by denying customer’s right for cancellation if the activation is done by mistake. It seems you do not to build long term relationship with customers, just that you want to do business with customer only once and do not want to leave a good impression so as the customers to return for further services. For existing users, it’s quite useless because they require you to use a new user ID (email) each time. For example, I used one user ID last year, purchased this plan, and enjoyed 6 months of Google One for free. Now, after renewing my Times Prime account, they’re saying it’s only available for new users. They’re asking me to use a new user ID (new email), but I have around 56GB of data in my current account.
