### 4/5 — Page

*2026-07-07, version 202606.47*

Sometimes hard to navigate

### 4/5 — Like the e-edition

*2026-05-15, version 202603.8*

Because it contains only the news stories of the day. Don’t like that I can’t easily share an e-edition article with my fellow subscribers. Would like an easier way to do that.

### 1/5 — Terrible Customer Service

*2026-01-15, version 202512.1*

Extremely Rude and Unprofessional

### 1/5 — Far far far to the left

*2026-01-15, version 202512.1*

When we lived in RI I thought the Providence Journal was very far left. However the Times Union is even worse. You let Biden sleepwalk through four years and not a peep. If Trump cured cancer you would write that he’s ruining things for Oncologists. If your wish came true and Harris and Waltz were in power we would all soon be speaking Chinese an Russian. Your cartoon page is particularly disgusting with all of its anti Trump venom. On the bright side I do enjoy some local news, nature articles, weather, food reviews, and the Jumble. Unfortunately you don’t carry the Sunday Jumble. Luckily I have the NY Post and Fox News to stay sane.

### 3/5 — Pretty Good

*2026-01-12, version 202512.1*

Turns out if I use a VPN I can’t read the paper. This needs a fix. Even going through a browser fails with a VPN.

I can no longer read the e-edition. Works fine on my Pixel phone so it’s the app. Going to cancel my subscription as I can read it through the library online Monday-Sat for free. I’d still pay if this worked as I like reading on my iPad, especially Sundays.

### 1/5 — Canceled

*2025-12-15, version 202512.1*

I’ve canceled this back in October 2025 and still get notifications. I don’t want this

### 3/5 — Too much of a paywall/ annoyance

*2025-10-22, version 202510.19*

I realize local newspapers have to pay the bills. But I can get basic local TV news free online and easily. The Times Union should offer a couple important stories (such as health- related developments or community- benefit info.) for free. I could go broke and drive myself nuts if I had to keep track of being a paid subscriber to every periodical or news outlet out there.

### 4/5 — Navigate

*2025-10-06, version 202509.27*

Not that easy. Sometimes it jumps sections then restarts. Makes me unhappy.

### 1/5 — What is happening to my subscription?

*2025-10-03, version 202509.27*

Can no longer access the e edition unless I allow Hearst corp to sell my private information.

### 3/5 — Kimmel.

*2025-09-23, version 202509.15*

Your kidding me. What a complete joke if he is not on. What about satuday night live ? And all he itherso that make it for a laugh. What about the last 15 or so years. Let the people in a land where you have freed speech. We’re watching not you. Why wait to. Now when it’s been goin on for a long time. No more 10 for me and many others. Sad. Shame on you.

### 1/5 — Not Objective

*2025-04-18, version 202504.12*

Chris Churchill ruins this paper.

### 3/5 — Just Alright

*2025-02-09, version 202501.20*

The TU app presents some articles, not necessarily all “today’s news.” If you want to read the print edition, you cannot select it from the main page of the app, you have to go to settings, scroll down, and then select it.

### 1/5 — E edtion

*2025-01-08, version 202410.17*

E edition has to-many pop up ads.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unsubscribe

*2026-08-27, version 202608.33*

Do not subscribe to this newspaper It is impossible to unsubscribe. When I put my info in they just cancel my request…scum

### 1/5 — Depressing

*2026-07-13, version 202606.47*

After being a member for 20 years, it’s time to cut the cord. Unfortunately, the most articles are negative and critical. They imply the sky’s falling. My favorite two sections are sports and business. The sports section is upbeat and focuses on local high school sports which is admirable. The business section is basically worthless. If I was not a Capital Region resident I would think there is little to no growth here. Even the articles that involve growth have a negative twist. I want to read a factual, unbiased newspaper where the opinions are in the opinion section. I want the local, state, and national articles to be factual without a political spin.

### 1/5 — Left Left Left

*2026-07-01, version 202606.47*

This “paper” is nothing but an anti Trump, liberal, leftist mouthpiece for the Democratic Party. Any semblance of fair journalism is purely coincidental with this gang

### 1/5 — Customer

*2026-06-20, version 202605.25*

Sucks and overpriced

### 1/5 — App is Horrible

*2026-05-23, version 202603.8*

The paper is great; the app is horrible.

### 1/5 — Electronic Subscription

*2026-04-24, version 202603.8*

No matter how many times I change my password every single time I try to log in to read an article it say’s wrong password. It’s ridiculous. Will not renew my subscription.

### 1/5 — SNAFU

*2026-03-26, version 202603.8*

I took advantage of a special sale for the online version of the TU. I got the app., and I cannot read any articles, as your system said that my subscription had expired. What’s going on with you?

### 1/5 — No access

*2026-03-26, version 202603.8*

I’ve subscribed but I’m not able to access.

### 1/5 — TU app

*2026-01-29, version 202601.20*

Too many ads and stories stay on the app for way too long, very annoying

### 1/5 — My

*2026-01-29, version 202601.20*

My paper wasn’t delivered!! I subscribe to the TU and the Times. So frustrated!

### 5/5 — TU

*2026-02-18, version 202602.9*

We’re fortunate as a community to have such an excellent local paper

### 5/5 — Great on Line Newspaper

*2026-01-21, version 202601.20*

What a Great read in the morning. I live in the Hudson Valley. Read The TIMES UNION ON LINE every morning. Great paper, I have been reading The Times Union since the 1960s. Enjoy it more now then ever.. Great coverage of the area Sports and what is going on.Keep Up The Good work. Thank you

### 5/5 — Very Good

*2025-12-08, version 202512.1*

Very good.

### 5/5 — Good source for news

*2025-12-05, version 202512.1*

Easy way to receive digital newspaper. Also there is a way to access early edition. I wish one could copy articles to be paste elsewhere.

### 5/5 — Dave

*2025-04-10, version 202504.12*

I have a Digital subscription, but constantly have to try logging in every time I want to read something. When I try calling, it takes forever to get a real person to help me resolve this issue.

### 5/5 — Solid local news coverage.

*2025-04-07, version 202504.12*

Glad we still have this local reporting!

### 5/5 — Ads delete part of writings

*2024-07-27, version 202406.44*

I use E-edition of Times Union to read local news and commentary. When clicking on the link of small print, it is supposed to pop out larger font for readers. But, Ads attached to news or commentary do not display appropriately, they delete part of writings. It is annoying.

### 5/5 — Review

*2023-08-22, version 202307.10*

The times Union is good reporting local news statewide and national news has a very progressive, liberal bias. Your editorials are supportive of left wing positions. Your columnists are liberal and progressive. All events are viewed through a liberal left leaning prism. You can improve by being more centrist.

### 5/5 — Great down to earth reporting

*2023-04-28, version 202212.8*

The tone and attitude is down to earth and informative.
