### 4/5 — As described

*2026-05-11*

You set the timer and it gives you a visual of the timer counting down. There are a few fun looks. I use the blue stopwatch looking one with the last five minutes in red. You can't set the timer for a specifc time but you can set it for 120 s, 20 min, 60 min, 120 min, or 12 hrs. The 60 min works for me and I repeat it as necessary.
My only complaint is that the title and app icon feel kiddy to me but thats on me.
The developer also charges $6.99 after a set amount of uses. For a tool that helps me so much, I'm fine with that - I didn't want to keep trying "free" visual timers with adds or that will charge as well.

### 3/5 — 10

*2026-03-21*

Nul nul nul nul

### 3/5 — Good but not for me

*2025-12-01, version 1.10*

It’s nice but the chosen time doesn’t fill the face. It’s a fraction of some pre determined duration making the visual aspect useless. I need 30 sec, 60 sec and 120 second timers for speaking exams. That barely registers in the face. I need 60 seconds to be a full 360 degree visual representation of the percentage left. Also, why does a 30 second timer start in yellow? It needs to be done by percentage.

### 5/5 — Great - want more

*2025-10-31*

It would be very handy to be able to have multiple individual timers all executing at once as some other timer apps do.

### 5/5 — Useful, motivating, and pretty

*2025-08-19, version 1.9.3*

Does exactly what you need it to do. I like that it’s color customizable and you can have multiple saved timers for different types of tasks or moods. Can also change the end sound. This works for encouraging my productivity without allowing myself to ignore it.

### 5/5 — ADHD Motivation Hack

*2025-07-23*

I been using this app for a few weeks while at work and it's SO HELPFUL. The nature of my job is usually "deadline-less" so I have no external forces to push me - which means I can get stuck in detail work and slow down.

This visual timer though is AWESOME. I give myself short "sprints" and say "I'll get this done before the timer goes off" and BOOM. External force applied = faster work. My coworkers and boss appreciate my quicker output and I'm feeling way more productive! BIG THANKS TO THE DEVS WHO MADE THIS! YALL ARE AWESOME.

Also - I gave my timer a mustache. He is a distinguished timer now. Hehehe.

### 5/5 — Nickel

*2025-07-12*

Simple, clair, efficace. C’est parfait. Merci aux développeurs !

### 5/5 — The best

*2025-06-25, version 1.9.3*

Great for keeping toddlers on time!

### 5/5 — Excellent and elegant

*2025-05-17*

This is a brilliantly conceived app that I use constantly throughout the day.

I like the widgets as I can engage with the timers like a utility on my phone, and pop into the app to configure the timers. It’s tightly integrated to the best iOS features, like live activities and others.

Using this app for a Pomodoro-style way of working has made me so much more productive.

### 5/5 — Mega! Und ablesbar….

*2025-04-16*

…für 2jährige! Gern 6€ dafür gezahlt. Hoffentlich nutzt die App auch Family sharing.

### 5/5 — Worth It!

*2025-03-17*

I rarely buy apps. This one was absolutely worth it. The degree of customization it allows is incredible. I have multiple, color coded timers set. A multitasker, it keeps me on track and reminds me when to perform certain tasks. This is extremely well thought out and has functioned flawlessly. I also have the Time Zone app, which is equally excellent! I’ve never posted a review, so this is saying something! : )

### 5/5 — simple, intuitive

*2025-02-25*

not a task tracking system, which I don’t need. just a circle with a moving wedge and a tiny digital clock off to the side. I’m a neurodivergent that hates using a digital clock to figure out how much time is passing, and hates visually registering where clock arms are on the face. this app gives me a 60 minute clock face on which a certain size wedge always represents a certain number of minutes no matter how much time I want to measure. other visual timers I tried use the full clock face to represent the amount of time being measured. so the size of the wedge varies with however much time I am measuring. having a consistent visual representation for the same amount of time helps me both track time as it’s passing and learn how much time something really takes. 😀

### 5/5 — One of my favourite apps on ios and macos

*2025-01-10, version 1.9.1*

I don't really care if it's "fun," but the interface is really, really well-designed and pretty much perfect UX-wise. After trying all of these kinds of apps, this is the one I've stuck with for years now, I believe, and using it daily is a real pleasure. It does its job without ever getting in the way.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-01-07*

I bought this as I do home haemodialysis every day and I prefer a visual representation of the time I have left. This app is perfect for what I need. I love all the customisation tools too.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not free

*2025-08-02, version 1.9.3*

Disappointed that it now cannot be used for free anymore - forced to pay or delete after only 5 uses

### 1/5 — Only fives uses before need to buy

*2025-04-26, version 1.9.3*

Not free - only fives uses before you have to pay for premium. Couldn’t find a setting to prevent kids from speeding up the timer. Other timer apps allow you to disable the buttons while the timer is running. Maybe it exists in the premium app.

### 1/5 — Upgrade for 6 euros for a clock with a few photos?!

*2025-02-11*

I found it absolutely crazy that the developers put a limit on the number of free timers you can use, as the app is nothing more than two clocks with some customisation options. Like at that point it would make more sense for them to run ads between the timers compared requiring you to pay a higher price than for the cheapest Netflix subscription. Honestly absurd…

### 1/5 — No Sound

*2024-12-29*

No Sound at the end

**Developer response:** Thanks for the email! If the app is open on your device, it should play sound. If the app is closed, you must allow notifications for the alarm to play. Please also make sure your device volume is turned up. If you still have issues, please email adam@overdesigned.net so I can help you directly. If not, I hope this brings the app back to five stars for you!

### 1/5 — Times up is a scam! BEWARE

*2024-09-14, version 1.9*

It said I would be charged a one time fee of $4.99 then charged my bank account $47. Super lame!

### 1/5 — it doesn't work

*2022-06-16*

it doesn't work
I can't start this app
update plz

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear this! Please try the latest version of the app, and if it does not work please email adam@overdesigned.net and I’ll help you out. Thanks!

### 1/5 — Asks for review feedback every single time a timer ends.

*2021-11-09, version 1.0.4*

Please don't ask me to write a review every time my timer stops running.

Great app otherwise. Purchased the paid version.

### 2/5 — Was great before it said I had to pay to use it

*2024-10-10*

No

**Developer response:** Great apps only exist with their customers' support. The app’s introduction and description explain that it is free to try 5 times, and then requires a one-time payment to continue using. This allows me to build and support a quality timer app, thanks to my many happy customers.

### 2/5 — Limited

*2024-09-28*

Can't change designs (which are super limited), colours or to numbers or otherwise. Not really an easy or straightforward interface. Can't do a stop watch (count up rather than down). Purchasing it really doesn't improve anything.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! You can change designs, customize colors, add your own images, and more using the Appearance button in the app — please email adam@overdesigned.net if you need assitance. The purchase allows you to continue using the app after you try the app for free 5 times; my intent was to let you try everything in the app without limits, so you can better decide if you want to pay to continue using it. Hope that helps!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Parenting must have!!

*2026-07-20*

This app is a game changer for parents. We love using a timer to help transition from one thing to another when needed. My daughter does not understand numbers yet so the visual of the timer getting smaller and smaller helps her understand how much time she has left. She loves adding her own pictures too. Get this app for your kiddos! You won’t regret it!

### 5/5 — Worth every penny

*2026-05-28*

This is a great app. Simple yet adaptable to any style you like. Thoroughly recommended!

### 5/5 — Fun app

*2026-05-28, version 1.10.1*

We use this thing nightly to keep our daughter on track with her brushing and nighttime routines

### 5/5 — Good for free

*2026-05-26, version 1.10.1*

Use infrequently but when I do it’s very helpful.

### 5/5 — Love this App

*2026-05-01, version 1.10.1*

Can customize the picture and sound to match the activity that you are timing.

### 5/5 — Very rare and useful replacement for Windows Focus Timer.

*2026-04-28*

I rarely upgrade from free apps, but happy to do so here. Rare find that there’s a timer where you can hide the numbers. So simple, but makes a big difference to me.

### 5/5 — Rosa

*2026-03-21*

*2026-01-28*

### 5/5 — Helps With My Time Blindess

*2026-01-12*

I think these visual “time timer” systems are usually marketed towards children, but as an adult, I find that time blindness can get the better of me pretty often, and this simple visual tool is a great way for me to keep track of time throughout my day. It was definitely worth the one-time purchase. I like how the visual clock stays on my screen even when I navigate to another window, so I can always quickly glance at it. I like that I can change the timer’s alarm sound to ring only once so it’s not super annoying. I like that I can customize the look and size of the clock face. All around, I can tell that the developer really took serious consideration into the UX of this tool and kept it simple and functional. I love this thing; big thank you to the developer 🙏🏽.

### 5/5 — A discipline engineer

*2025-12-15, version 1.10*

I like it, using it to replace the clock when I am working, it made me focus
I like the simplicity of UI but enough settings to customize the usage
