I now have the problem that I have more than 1200 photos and my phone doesn’t have enough memory to export them as a GIF. I exported as a video instead but then it didn’t play. Not sure what to do from here other than to export them all to third party video or GIF software. However it would seem that it doesn’t export the images in the right order so this is potentially a bit useless now, other than for taking and aligning photos. ### 4/5 — How does the camera not let you use the functions of the iPhone? *2023-06-12* I can’t use any of the base functionality of my iPhones camera besides flash? I would like to be able to zoom out as I’m taking a picture of my garden everyday to show the growth, and the best spot would require me to use 0.5x zoom. Disappointing $1 spent. I’ve really struggled to find other apps that fit my needs but this one is actually perfect. I love how you can adjust each photo even after you take it to ensure that everything is in line. Before, all my photos were all over the place but I just spent the past couple hours lining all my imported photos (I have A LOT) and now the video is perfect!! I love how you can adjust the lighting before taking a picture, which I could never do before. Also, it’s so much easier to line up pictures with the guide in this app. Lastly, the process to create a video is super fast, I remember having to wait for minutes on the last app I used. I wish I found this app earlier definitely worth it!! I only have one issue and that is when I export my pictures to my camera roll, they are all out of order and have today’s date. I now have to open the app at least 5 times before it doesn’t crash, and once it is open, opening certain longer term projects makes it crash. Pretty useless if you can’t trust that your photos will be there when you need them. Contacted creator again and again with no response. Really sad as the app itself is great, just no stability which makes it unusable. —- UPDATE 2/21 This app has begun to be updated, and I even received a personal message from the creator. He obviously really cares about feedback, and is serious about taking it into account. All the previous bugs are fixed, and tons of improvements made. Can’t wait to see what’s next! —- This was one of the best time lapse apps I could find, and did everything I needed to do in a very simple way. EXCEPT, I just found out you can’t export the video you create (app just crashes when you attempt it) which is sort of the whole point - to be able to share. Really sad that such an easy to use, elegantly designed app now has to go to waste. I’ve always been able to turn notifications on or off in iPhone settings. But this sucker makes this happen inside the app. I don’t know why it keeps turning them on again. Because it seems like it coukd have a purpose, I let it stay on my iPhone. So today I was able to turn off the nasty reminders to use the app once again. It’s a pushy app and when iphone is locked, the lock screen will show sometimes ten notifications from it. Once past the irritation of the reminders, I make a picture show. Idk what else to call it here. The first of many problems is the speed. It makes no difference whether set for 1fps or 30fps. The pictures just race by with no time to dee them. The idea of this app is nice. Sacly it just does not work. I read reviews saying it does what it's supposed to, etc. but no where do I see anything about what it is supposed to do. I've never had this problem before but there seems to be no point to this app. Why does it exist? I see options with group of pics to create video or gif. The result no matter settings is a messy display of too many pics so fast they are useless. It's nagged me to death for months to add pictures, always when I am doing something legitimate which I hated. Finally opened today, see it doesn't do anything, and turned off pesky reminders. If I don't find a use for it soon it will become an app I used to know. **Developer response:** Well, this app is made for people who read what's it for on the app page. Albums issue fixed, but the app minimizes anytime I add a photo from an album. Also it's doing something strange with picture imports and dates. It’s nice to be able to see them as they grow. The other apps I paid much more money for only allowed me to take one image per day. I could take countless with this app. Five stars ### 5/5 — Great for face time lapses *2024-02-09* I’ve used this app since 2019. At this point, I have a 5 year face time lapse and counting :) This app has everything that you’ll really need for a time lapse - saved photo albums with dates, ability to adjust photos to match up with previous photos, ability to convert the album into a video, etc. Sure, the developers haven’t touched this in 5 years, but it works just fine. One thing note - a lot of times with time lapse apps, people have concerns about their data getting wiped and losing years of progress. Never had such an issue with this app - although it does get noticeably more laggy when you have hundreds and hundreds of photos on it. My recommendation is that if you’re concerned about losing your data, periodically back up your photos or save them to iCloud. Overall I’d recommend this app if you just need something that’s quick and easy to use. It’s not necessarily going to give you the best quality results. (for example, when you convert the album in a video, you lose some image quality). Nevertheless, it’s gonna get the job done. ### 5/5 — The best app! *2023-11-18* I had to review it. It took me 5-10 minutes to do what I took days in CapCut. It’s very easy to use, easy to align old photos and take new photos. The only drawback is the speed of the video is too fast (even adjust settings).
