I have only had it a couple days I found two bugs but the send email button doesn’t work on my phone (for any app) **Developer response:** We’ll get that sorted quick! I use it to time-stamp journal entries during the day and date-stamp items on a ToDo list. I wonder if it is possible to give us the option to have multiple "mystamps" instead of just one? The developer has not responded, let alone address the problems. There are better apps out there that actually work. ### 2/5 — Curiouser, and curiouser??? *2020-05-04, version 5.0.6* This app has been great until recently... I haven’t been able to change the keyboards back to my iPhone regular keyboard on very sensitive sites... like banking, hmmm. Your info says you can’t see our info using your keyboard, but the iPhone’s keyboard settings says you can? And, I find it very strange that your app won’t change back to my iPhone keyboard more and more on the more privacy site types? It seems it is happening little by little, but there is a definite change here. I really like the app, but I don’t trust it anymore, and I had to remove it. Because every time I could not get it to change back I had to turn my phone off... **Developer response:** Whoa whoa whoa - NOT TRUE. Apologies, but that’s a seriously damaging allegation to an app! We’re just a couple of folks from Hoboken, NJ and the surrounding area who work our butts off to make a useful product for people! The behavior you describe IS extremely unusual, but it’s simply not possible for a keyboard to actively resist being dismissed. To clarify, we’re saying that it sounds like you’re experiencing an iOS bug. We’d recommend checking that you have the latest version of iOS, and also that you email us at timestampkeyboardfeedback@cambriancreative.com. PLEASE do so! And please consider removing this review. Seriously man, you’re killing us. Please remove. ### 2/5 — Lack of Autocorrect *2019-10-06, version 4.6.0* The lack of autocorrect is highly disappointing. ### 2/5 — Needs improvement *2019-07-14, version 4.5.0* I am looking for something that can type out the date and time with one click plus it puts a dash after the time is typed. This app is not very helpful. **Developer response:** Ouch. You’re right, for now it takes three taps. However, our update coming in the next 30 days will give you the functionality you’re looking for. At that point please consider revising your review...you can see from the others that we are really responsive to feedback! ### 3/5 — N/A *2021-11-19, version 5.1.1* Please update this app! ### 3/5 — Bluetooth keyboard, timestamp format *2019-10-17, version 4.6.0* I want to use this app with a bluetooth keyboard. Right now that seems to mbe not possible. Is that feature something you could provide, or is there a restriction by Apple Inc? I would be happy to use keyboard commands, such as command-d and command-t, or some equivalent in the virtual keyboard, rather than have this app take up so much valuable display space on my device screen. Of course I also want to use word suggestions and dictation. It looks like this timestamp app is not compatible with those features either. Too bad. Also, I would like to remove the colon from the timestamp: 1900 not 19:00. Finally, you are getting this feedback in a public review not a private email because the app does not show me your email address. Instead it tries to launch an email app "for" me. That behavior is not okay. **Developer response:** We would LOVE to provide this, but there is an iOS limitation on the bluetooth keyboard behavior that you're referencing. It's sometimes frustrating, but Apple really does think this stuff through! For example, iOS allows us to give the option of launching your mail app for you with a pre-populated Subject line and iOS device/version details to help us debug, but no developer is allowed to reach further into your mail program for obvious security issues. So, sorry about that, we were just trying to save you a couple steps! Anyway, word suggestions and further customization of the time and date stamps are in the works. Thanks! ### 3/5 — Doesn’t save date format *2019-09-08, version 4.6.0* Set date format, button changes to “saved”, activate keyboard and date format is nowhere to be found. Did this many times and still no correct date format. Fake app! **Developer response:** We are NOT a fake app, but it sounds like you’re having a real bug! Could you use the “Feedback” section in the main menu of the app so we can figure out what the issue is? Scree recordings help quite a bit. It’s important to us to get you up and running! (Sunday, Sep 8th, 7:47 AM) ### 4/5 — Best option so far *2021-09-26, version 5.1.1* The way it works is to provide a new on-screen keyboard that is equipped with time-stamp and date-stamp buttons. The buttons are admirably customisable, which I love (including with any text you like). This is the best option I've seen for the much-missed Microsoft Word keystroke. I'm giving it 4 stars as it's still a multi-step process, to (1) change keyboards (2) bring up the on-screen keyboard (3) hit the onscreen buttons (4) undo steps 1 & 2. Thanks for creating it. ### 4/5 — Good, but 10 months w/o an update is a long time... *2021-05-04, version 5.1.1* Needs update. More configuration options on the date stamp and time stamp formats. Most especially the time format, a fixed colon between hours & minutes is preventing the usefulness to me. ### 5/5 — This is a game changer *2023-06-27* any text field that I add a note to can be made more powerful by having date and timestamps for each note entry. ## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Simple to customize and use *2021-12-11, version 5.1.1* This does make it very easy to set your favorite format and access it with a tap (once you switch keyboards). Five stars! I would like to be able to define multiple date formats for easy use, is my only real request. Use case: I use ISO format 2021-12-11 for filename and my own purposes (it sorts well and is unambiguous). But for more human purposes (sharing an itinerary, say?) I prefer local formats like Sat., Dec. 11, 2021 Having a few such date formats on hand would be ideal. (I don’t need the keyboard to have QWERTY keys at all!) ### 5/5 — A Must-Have App *2021-02-16, version 5.1.1* 7-May-2019 -- (1) I am amazed at this app. I needed a quick way to date stamp and/or time stamp my notes. This app quickly does whichever you want: a time stamp in 1 tap, a date stamp in 1 tap, or a date and time stamp in 2 taps. GOOD JOB DEVELOPERS! -- (2) Now for a wild fantasy of mine. I have always missed the forward delete key that Windows operating systems have. It may be impossible to implement on iOS, but you guys have done the impossible already so why not dream big? -- (3) The time stamp, date stamp, and myStamps functions of this app make me giddy like a kid in a candy store. I feel like the chains of bondage to iOS have been broken. There is no telling how important this app could become some day. And $.99 is far too cheap for an app that is this useful. Looking into my crystal ball, I see all power users having this keyboard as a must-have productivity tool and $4.99 would be an appropriate price. Thank you for what you have accomplished so far! 15-July-2019 -- I just updated to your 1-July-2019 version and I am super happy with the results. I'm a real fan of the TimeStamp keyboard. Thanks for creating it. I never use the default iphone keyboard anymore except for its dictation microphone. By the way, since I am a good speller, I hate auto-correct. So if you never add that feature you won't hurt my feelings. I can't wait for your next update. Happy coding! 16-Feb-2021 -- Just recently, the clock stamp has been occasionally jumping to a random (but incorrect) time. It was an easy fix. I just deleted the app and then reinstalled. The fix worked like a charm. The clock stamp now stays accurate to true time. ### 5/5 — Perfect!! *2020-03-20, version 5.0.4* This is exactly what I was looking for! Quick and easy date/time stamps and notes that I can access quickly when needed. Great idea. **Developer response:** Much appreciated, Panda! ### 5/5 — Very useful. *2019-07-06, version 4.5.0* I just stumbled upon this app and it has become very useful for when I'm out on the job and need to input dates/times when arriving and leaving a job. The quick stamp functionality is also extremely useful when needing to write down different services, resources being used, or anything else you can think of to "stamp" into your notes with the press of a button. Not only is the app being updated by devs who seem to care, but they listen as well. The app has a feedback section to get in touch with a developer, who responded within less than one day of me making a suggestion! I look forward to the progress being made with the app and appreciate the time and effort that's been spent developing it. UPDATE 07/06/19 I'm still loving the app, but a recent update altered the quick delete function, which was very useful deleting large sections of text. Can you change it back to the way it was?
